Character Discussion: Bella

We see the Twilight world through her eyes, but how well do we understand her? Discuss Bella Swan here.

I think Bella is annoying 99% of the time xD But even if I think she's annoying, I'm all for Bella/Eddie She's... well, I think she's somewhat a Mary-Sue *hides away from all the Bella-fans* She's supposed to be all plain and stuff, but she has ALL the guys falling for her. I mean, Edward I can understand, the smell of her blood and stuff, but all those other dudes, like Mike, Eric, Jake (...I have my own theories, check out Jake's thread), Tyler or WHATEVER his name was... WHAT'S UP WITH THAAAAAAAT!? xD

I admit...Bella could be a little less dramatic and whiney, but I still like her as a character.

I didn't get that whole everyone-falling-for-her thing, but maybe it is because she was a new girl in a small town.

I sort of agree on the "all the guys like her" part, but I think they're all just superficial crushes on her. I mean, she had just moved there from Phoenix, and most of the people in Forks have never left Washington. That kind of girl, no matter what she looked like, would be crushed on by everyone at one point.

And, Edward said Bella doesn't see herself clearly, so she doesn't think she is very good-looking. We take on that opinion because we are seeing things from her point of view, but had we been looking at her from... let's say Mike's eyes, she may actually be very pretty. Mike also relates to her because he moved to Forks from California. And Eric is the cute little nerd that thinks that any girl that says more than two words to him is beautiful. Tyler... well Tyler's a freak who probably thought she was pretty and then almost ran her over.... you all know that story. Jacob. Now Jacob had most likely liked her for years. They'd known eachother since they were kids and his crush (I don't like admitting he's in 'love' with her) was probably there years before she moved.

That's just my opinion.

For me, yes, Bella seems like a bit annoying especially in Eclipse. She got Edward and she really do love him, but still, she can't choose between Edward and Jacob. Durrr, I don't know.
