| Are you talking about the Forbin Section of the library in Harry Potter?? If so, the reason was that the books that were needed for some classes were very disgusting and really bad. Stuff you would never want to know and all. If not, then please tell me what you mean. | |

| People are allowed to use it, staff for one. In addition, the students can always get a pass froma teacher if they wanted one of the books. | |

| Also, I'm sure that some of the books were once permitted, but various headmasters restricted access to them for whatever reason. The other option would be to throw them out or burn them, and that's just evil censorship. *nods* | |

| Well I'm certain there's not many magical libraries around the wizarding world so people other than students can come and get some books. They might be for the countless adults that come by and borrow a book. That's my guess. | |

| Yeah, I agree with everyone. Most of the books there are probably used for the staffs own research and if a student was taking a high level class they might need to do research into a topic. Not everything in there may be bad or evil, but it could be dangerous if used incorrectly. | |
