New Feature : Award Bar

Some of you may have noticed the new award bar in your profile. This is a new feature I have brought in to award those of you more publically than just with housepoints for noticable work around the site. This does not mean doing classes or challenges as there are housepoints for this, rather it covers such things as below;

* Helpfulness
* Keeping to rules
* Exceptional work
* Great ideas

...and much more


Myself and Amy can update your award bar when we feel a member has achieved a high standard of anything we believe. Staff can also let us know when and why they feel a person deserves a point on their award bar. (Please see profs lounge shortly for thread).

Members who are not staff can also nominate someone for consideration for an award point. This can be done by pm'ing me or Amy. With members awarding someing, though, there are a few rules to keep by.

Members can only nominate another member who is not in their own house
You must give a reason and supply any links you feel necessary to help with confirming this award.
Staff can nominate and award members from all houses in the thread in profs lounge.

When a member reaches 100 awards, they will recieve 1000 housepoints - yes 1000!
When a member reaches this, their awards will then be reset so they can start all over again

I like this idea very much. Good way to do things. Now let me see how well i can do. Wish me luck, and i also wish everyone else on the site luck as well. Because from what Elfie says, we have to work hard and do our best to get these awards. So good luck all.

Professors and heads of houses are also given a certain number of award points at the end of each term depending upon how well they have kept up their classes and houses and forums in general

Just wondering if the Head Boy and Girls get points for becoming Head Boy or Girl
