Actors in the Film

In my opinion, they've done a great job on the casting. It must have been pretty hard to try and find actors who could be at least a tenth of what the vampires in the books are supposed to be like...

I've watched a couple of things with Kristen in recently, and she's a pretty good actress, though she comes across as very serious in her interviews. Hopefully she'll portray Bella well.

Robert Pattinson for Edward. At first, I was sceptical, but having seen pictures and interviews, I think he'll be a great Edward. Besides, trying to find someone as perfect as Edward is described would be a pretty tough job :D

Kellan Lutz for Emmett...I wasn't convinced but after seeing him in various interviews I think he'll do good. I wish he'd kept his natural curly hair, but there is a reason for that, so it can't be helped I suppose.

Esme and Rosalie are fine, I think. I've not seen much of the actress playing Esme, but in the interviews Nikki Reid has assuaged a lot of my fears that she wasn't right for Rosalie. She really seems to understand the character as well.

Carlisle - I'm still not convinced, but I'm sure he'll do fine.

Alice and Jasper - I think the actress playing Alice is perfect. Her hair's not completely right, but I think she looks quite a lot like my mental picture of Alice. Jasper's hair in that pic there is odd looking, but it's much better in some of the other pics and videos. Jackson seems like a cool guy :D

Taylor Lautner for Jacob...ehhh. When I saw the first pics of him I was like...whaaaat??? But he looks older and more mature in the set pictures and videos, plus they've got him in a long wig, so I'll reserve judgement til I see more.

Victoria - Again, I didn't like her at first, but I saw quite a long interview with Rachelle LeFevre and she's very charismatic. I think she'll play Victoria well, even if she's not exactly how I pictured her.

James - not much to say about him really. I never had a proper mental image of James so Cam Gigandet will do :D

Laurent - it doesn't bother me that he's black. I mean, there must be black vampires in the world somewhere. The books say he had an olive complexion, so... *shrugs*

Mike is scarily close to my mental image of him. Jess, Angela and the other school kids never had a proper picture in my mind, so I'm not too fussed about them.

Charlie...he looks too young and not...dad-ly enough. But I've seen set pics and they've given him a 'tache (to be honest, he kind of looked like the policeman out of The Village People!). Charlie and Renée had Bella quite young, so it isn't too much of a stretch that a young-ish actor is portraying him.

One you haven't put up there is Soloman Trimble, the guy playing Sam Uley. He's definitely not as big and beefy as Sam should be...

Edward - Yep, yep, I also thought "NOOOOO!!!!" but then I saw the pictures and trailers and whatnot - he's close to perfection there! :D And wasn't Hnery Cavill Stephenie's first choice as Edward? I'm thinking... no. Of course, she's the author, and she knows exactly who would be a perfect Edward, but... still. Henry Cavill? No. Stay in Tudors, baby, and I'll love you forever :D

Bella - YESSSSS!!!!!!!! I never really liked that Emily Browning girl, because... she's annoying. She looks too young, too... eww xD I don't really know how I pictured Bella in my head, but when I saw the pictures of Kristen, that did it for me; she's my Bella :D

The Cullens - Okay, I was pretty excited that Peter Facineli is Carlisle, because I loved Fastlane when it came from the tv :D Besides... he's hot xD Nikki Reed... Well, I like her as an actress, I really do, but I thought she wouldn't be such a great Rosalie, but I was once again proved wrong. She's excellent! As for the other Cullens... well, Alice was a positive surprise, as was Esme (wasn't she in Grey's Anatomy!? xD), but seriously; Jasper's hair in that picture!? :D It looks okay-ish in the other pictures I've seen later on + the interviews... Emmett was not exactly what I had in mind, but I read Kellan Lutz wanted to keep his dark curls for his performance as Emmett, but he had to cut them for another role, and they didn't grow back in time for the shooting of Twilight. Aww :D

Charlie - NOT what I had in mind. I actually always thought of Charlie as a George Clooney type of man :D Okay, maybe not as sexy and charming as he, but still...

Jacob - ...thank God he's wearing a wig. I suppose he could pass for Jacob in Twilight, being younger than Bella and all, but I'm just wondering if they will use him in New Moon?

Jessica, Angela, Mike, Eric - I had no expectations for these guys :D I never paid much attention to them, except maybe Angela, because she was nice xD I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, except maybe Eric... I mean... no xD

Laurent - I agree with Eimi... but I hope they will make his skin more olive, because what I've seen in the "Behind the Scenes", trailers and interviews, he looks way too normal to be a vampire.

Victoria - She'll do xD

James - Aww, couldn't they get Cillian Murphy to play him!? xD That's like an unshaven Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer xD

Renee - I know she's not on the list, but I'm really excited about having Sarah Clarke in Twilight! :D She was Nina Myers in 24, and she also had a part in Thirteen, which Nikki Reed was in. Anyway, I loved her in 24, and it really made me squee a bit when I found out she would be Renee! xD

*sighs* i love all the castings! And yay, anyone else notice how Robert was cedric and a huffie and now he's Edward .... he's still Robert so he's still a huffie *rambling*

Anyways! I watched Never Back Down last nigh and then watched the 2nd Twilight trailer again and i have to say that Cam Gigandet as James is bloomin excellent! I'd seen the trailer once before but having seen it again after watching a film with Cam in made me much more excited to see the film because now i have a good idea at how good Cam can act and fight.
