| I am creating this class for my blue badge in badge burrow. Your muggle studies professor will grade this class as they see fit!
Professor - please feel free to change anything I might have done wrong!
***Your class***
I got this idea from Severus Snapes recent discussion class on the hot air balloon. This time the scenario is that you are all muggles and are stuck in a lift. The help com isnt working and between you you need to work together to find a way out. You have NO magic whatsoever!
Anyone can join in this discussion.

| First, if it were a ground of muggles, I would keep them all as calm as possible...muggles panic very easily. Press all the bottons to check is the lift definately stuck. Then, what I would do is look for an escape hatch at the top of the lift. If there is not one, we need to use a leverage system (Anythin you have, you can use) to prize the lift door open, and that would at least let some cool air in. Then, I would shout for help. If help did not arrive, I would call for a fire brigade on my mobile (which would always have signal) | |

| If I was a muggle and stuck inside of a lift I would first panic and run around in circles screaming that we are going to die. After being xtuck down tehre for awhile I would eventually stop and then gather my thoughts, I think that then I would choose to open the top of it like they do in the movies. I would then crawl into the top and then try to get some help by screaming. If help was not to come then I probablt would do something as dumb as trying to crawl up the cables holding it there. As I made my way up I would scream out for help. If my mom was there she would not allow me to do this and so I would probably end up just sitting there and wishing that someone would notice that the lift wasnt working | |

| ((this has happened to me once before, but after a second or two it was up and running again.)) Without a useable cell phone (which is almost always the case for me - bad luck): Well, I'd panic in my head for a minute or so, screaming for help, but realise that there's not a chance anyone would hear me, then I'd think back to the movies, like 'Die Hard' or something like that. I'd remember that John McLaine is standing in the shaft on top of the lift, and try and push back the panels on the top of the lift myself. But it wouldn't go anywhere because the light would be blocking the way, the after some thought realise that ther would be no point, because where would I go from there? Fly all the way to the top and miraculously find an exit? So I sit and think, keeping my panic under control, wondering what to do. The only way out of a lift is through the doors. So I get out a cheap fountain pen from my bag and a ballpoint (coming home from school), hold them between my teeth as I pull open the door. If I'm lucky, which I probably am as there's no that much space beween each floor, there's another door onto another floor. Open that. Using both pens wedged under the door, I'd crawl out if there was enough space. If not, I'd holler out the crack. (Another Die Hard trick ) | |
