I have noticed that tehre hasnt been really any activity in here for about a month now... and its making me think that the newspaper might be dying again.... It needs to be revived here soon before it just tottally dies... we dont want the paper to die again do we?

We need to perform CPR!!!!

I was just wondering what happened to our due date.... I sent my article to Amy awhile ago and there was going to be a due date but them something happened and... well the paper just started to die.... It seams empty and I might have to send out pm's to remind people about the paper

I haven't sent in my stuff yet and I'm very very sorry, but I've had exams with many more still to be done, and.... yeah..... I love HE, but recently, I haven't felt as motivated as usual to be around the site etc. and that's only partly due to the massive amount of schoolwork that's been piled on me. I think the other part is because... because to me, it seems as if the atmosphere of HE has changed.... People that were here when I joined have left, people that I don't care particularly about have joined, and... yeah... *sigh* Sorry, this really wasn't that place to write that, but just an explanation for my lack of activity...

I'll definitely try to get my stuff to Amy by the end of the week, though.

Umm. I PMed Amy a couple weeks ago about what's going on with the paper, but she never got back to me.

I guess she's busier than usual. Finals coming up, and all that. xD

Also, did you notice how hardly anyone reads the paper? I think half the people here don't even know it exists...we need to publicize it more! Make grand announcements! It would motivate us all to do a better job, as well, if we knew more than 5 people actually read our stuff...

I PM'd Amy today to find out what's happening, everything was sent in for the last edition with the ecpetion to the letters to Holly, i'm sure Amy is home now after finishing her stint in france so maybe we'll have some news soon.

In the mean time, why dont we start thinking of ways to advertise the paper?

Make banners to put in our sigs? Make banners for house members to put in their sigs anything really, announce it in each house! Announce it in ChatBox/Chatroom.....heck lets hire some paper boys and girls to spread the news!

Hmm i should make an advertising thread grin

But we cant do anything until we hear from Amy. So sit tight and begin thinking of the next edition.

What about a challenge somewhere. Say a drabble challenge and the best one goes in the pensieve. Or a graphics challenge.

Yep, those are good ideas.

Maybe we should have a forum for the Pensieve? (one that everyone can see, I mean.) I think that maybe more people would be interested in it if it was always around for them to see and contribute to. I have a feeling that a lot of people don't bother even going to look at the Pensieve since it's linked off-site.

Also, we should have some sort of 'letters to the editor' or 'your say' where people write in letters on articles they liked or didn't like, and write about any topic that they feel the newspaper should cover, or didn't cover properly...we could have a 'talk to the Healer' section where people write in their problems and a 'professional' Healer gives them advice...
