Third Floor (Fluffy's lurking)

Eliza and Zeke crept down the corridor, a finger to their lips. Their sprites chided them for immaturity, but they were both too curious to see why Dumbledore had made it forbidden to go where they were treading.

Natalie continued to smile.

Anything else you need notes on about his behavior? Shadow asked telepathically, running circles around Fluffy while he tried to catch her.

Not really....It's just entertaining to watch sent Natalie telepathically to Shadow.

I wish I'd done this before, it's actually kinda fun! Shadow sent back, weaving her way between the three heads.

Hayley glanced over at Natalie's notes, just incase this cme up ni their Care of Magical Creatures OWL.

Eliza and Zeke shook their heads disbelivingly and they were trying not to laugh. Eliza, however, looked curious.
'How come he was asleep?" She looked around at her ermine, but he was...dancing. There was no other word for it. And the phoenix on Zeke's shoulder was swaying to the rhythm. What ryhthm? Maybe only animals could here it, their hearing being able to decipher higher sounds.

Shadow wove through Fluffy's legs in a game, but it stopped abruptly when Fluffly stood on her tail. With a yelp of pain and surprise, Shadow quickly retreated into a far corner.

Eliza was looking for the source of the mysterynoise, but not being able to hear it definatly made it harder. She asked Pago to find it, and almost immeadiatly he found a trapdoor not quite shut. Aparently the noise was coming from there. Oblivious to all else, she opened it, and, ermine on her shulder, started to lower hersef down.

"Eliza..." said Hayley warily, "It could be dangerous..." she frowned.

"Hey....guys...this was fun," said Natalie, grinning.

Hayley shook her head, and began to climb down the trapdoor after Eliza. "Yeah," she said to Natalie. "It is," she grinned.

Shadow noticed her friends going down the trap door and kept Fluffy's attention on her before jumping down herself.

Natalie grinned.

The she remembered

"I've just remembered why we had a soft landing," she said, looking down, and sure enough, there was Devil Snare.

"Nice to remember just before you hit it, isn't it?" Shadow said, hovering a few feet above them. "Anyone got a decent charm to get rid of this?"

Eliza had been entwined in the Snare before she could blink, but didn't stuggle.
"Zeke." She called, and told him telipathicaly what he should do. He nodded, and sent glowing coals down into the dark. One landed with a soft thump next to Eliza, and it squealed, burning away. Pyro sent colomns of fire to shrivil up the rest, and Zeke jumped down too, once all the Devil's Snare had been taken care of.
"Allright?" He joked.

Shadow touched down on the stone floor, nodding.
"Nice work."

Hayley giggled. "This is familiar," she said, thinking of a book she read when she was younger.

"Right. We know what's after, right?" Eliza said, but Zeke looked a little confused.
"No." He replied.
"Oh yes, adelfos, you were living with pateras..." Eliza said, "Wel, it's the keys next, isn't it?"

"Yeah....and I happen to be good at flying a broom," said Natalie, grinning, "can I do the next task?"

"Yes, but we need more than one person To trap the key, so who else wants to go?" Eliza asked them all.

"Righto," said Natalie, grinning broadly.

"I'll go." Shadow volenteered.

Bela looked around her
"Drat" she murmered. Being new, she had yet again taken a wrong turn

Hayley wondered why on Earth this little bunch of people had come down to explore, risking their lives for non other than adventure. She smiled.

"Ok...shall we put this little plan into action," said Natalie.

Hayley nodded at Natalie, and whipped out her wand.

Natalie walked on a beckoned for the other's to follow.

Hayley followed Natalie, unsure of what would happen next.

"Well, I'll help too." Eliza said, and Zeke said,
"I can't, I'm still hurting from when I fell off my broom."
"So that's three of us. Nattie, Shadow and me." Eliza concluded.
She glanced around and, to her surpise, saw Bella. She jumped.
"What? How did you get here?"

"Ok...lets do it," said Natalie, "and we can use Zeke, Bella to stand guard and Hayley can help us corner the key."

Perfect. So that's my broom..." A broom zoomed towards her from round the corner. She swung her leg over, and said,
"Ask for yours."

Hayley stood, ready to pounce on the key if it came her way. "Ready?" she asked.

Eliza calld for another broom, and handed it to her. She called another two for the others too. ((I think it's two. You, me, Shadow and Bella, no?))

Natalie swung her leg over her broom.

"All set and ready to go there Eliza," said natalie.

Hayley took the broom, "Thanks Eliza," she said. She swung her leg over the broom, and kicked off, hovering a few feet above the ground.

((ya, but she already had a broom... that's my weird way of thinking... lol))

"Let's do this." She kicked off. "We're looking for a silver key, battered. Who's Seeker here?"

Hayley shrugged. "Only Holly, ans she's not here," then she smiled. "Natalie's good though,"

"Cool. Ok, Nattie's in charge of catching the key, the rest of us poor beggars just surrond it so's to make it easier for Nattie..."

Hayley nodded. "Got it," she said.

"Right. What's next? After this task, I mean." Eliza thought for a moment, but couldn't remember.
"We'll see. Let's just concentrate on this for the moment."

Hayley shrugged, "I can't remember," she said, "But, first, we need the key," she said, looking round at all the flying objects.

Natalie spotted the key.

"I'm no seeker...but I'll try," said Natalie.



She soured upwards after kicking hard off the ground. She felt many little twinges of pain as the metal keys hit her, but she was focused of the little key that was now inches from her outstreached hand. She caught it in her finger-tips.

"I got it guys!" yelled Natalie, waving the key in the air unnecessarily.

"Good work, Natalie!" Eliza said, "Now open the door, quick." Eliza flew down to the door.

Hayley soared down to the floor, and swung her leg off the broom. She clapped her hands together, and said, "Right, you guys ready?"

Natalie landed, and quickly ran to the door and opened it.

Hayley stood back, to let everyone else past.

Natalie stood back.

"After you Hayley," she said, smiling in a friendly way.

Zeke clapped a hand to his head as he and Eliza looked inside.
"I remember. Chess." Zeke said.

Hayley smiled at Natalie, and stepped in. She looked around,"Wow!" she said.

"Who is the best here at wizards chess?" asked Natalie, looking around at the others.
