Parallel Gods

There are many gods and goddesses in Greek mythology who have parallel selves in Roman mythology, meaning that they also appear in Roman mythology, though under a different name and have perhaps slightly different characteristics.

Part One: Names

You will be given a list of gods and goddesses in Greek mythology and you must then give the name for each respective god or goddess in Roman mythology. Each name is worth 2 points.

Goddess of Love and Beauty.

Apollo - Apollo
God of the solar light, reason, prophecies music and medicine.

Ares - Mars
God of war.

Artemis - Diana
Goddess of the hunt but later also called Goddess of the moonlight (lunar light).

Athene (Athena) - Minerva
Goddess of defensive war and arts but also seen as Goddess of wisdom.

Demeter - Ceres
Goddess of grain and fertility.

Dionysus - Bacchus
God of wine and theater.

Eros - Cupid
God of love.

Hades - Pluto
God of the Underworld

Helius/Helios (Sometimes identified with Apolo though personally I think they're two different God with different roles) - Sol/Phoebus
God of the Sun

Hephaestus - Vulcan
God of fire.

Hera - Juno
Goddess of childbirth and marriage (wife of Zeus).

Heracles (tecnically not a God but a semi-God human Hero xD) - Hercules
Strength (I refuse to say God xD)

Hermes - Mercury
Messenger of the gods also protector of travellers also God of the thieves and pranksters.

Hestia - Vesta
Guardian of the home.

Hypnos - Somnus
God of Sleep.

Persephone - Victoria
Godess of the underworld married to Hades

Poseidon - Neptune
God of the sea and earthquakes.

Zeus - Jupiter
Ruler/father of the gods and God of thunder.
