DOCTOR WHO: Who has been the best companion?

I actually like most of the people on the list.

Rose of course comes in top, but close behind her are Jack and *gasp* Donna. I hated Donna in The Runaway Bride, but her performance and character in series four was amazing.

Mickey was always fun to have around, just because of the banter between him and the Doctor. I never watched the old series, and Sarah-Jane didn't make too big of an impression in her own right on DW, but in the Sarah-Jane Adventures she was pretty good.

I always liked Martha, even when a lot of people hated her for "replacing" Rose. That said, I think she was really underused in series four.

Astrid is the only one I didn't really like. I feel like they sacrificed what could have been a good character to getting Kylie on the show (and with a really bad hairstyle!)

Rose is the best companion

Jack is brilliant too, though I think he excels much more in torchwood

Micky annoyed me at first but now i love him - certainly not the tin dog!

Martha is great though is another who excells out of companion status.

Astrid - no words to explain how much I disliked her

Donna - I hated Donna in the Christmas ep, but through the last season I grew to really love her

Sarah Jane - I love SJ, I never watched her in the original series' though I think she is a great character, not as great as others, but still great.

Jackie - Annoying but great!

It's gotta be Donna for me, I nearly cried at the last episode.

I liked Rose best before because she at least had some brains, but I found that Martha lacked the attitude. Donna brings them all together, and was brilliant! She's not afraid to call the Doctor 'Space Man' (or to slap him for that matter...)

Rose is the all time best though in the last season I would say that Donna excelled herself
