Hands up who loves the new series of Doctor Who?

I do! I think that it was fantastic - Christopher Eccleston was great as The Doctor (though I think whatsisname...OK I've had a complete mind blank, but you know who I mean...I think he'll do a great job in the forthcoming series).

Anybody see the Christmas special? With the killer Christmas tree?

One of my favourite episodes was the creepy gas mask boy "Mummy? Are you my Mummy?" Freaky-deaky or what? And that was where we met Captain Jack, who is a great character! I can't wait for his spin off series "Torchwood".

Any other Doctor Whovians? (that's what I've been told they're called )

I loved the new doctor who, but i am not sure whether the new guy will be as good as chris eccleson!

I think the new doctor is really good, he has the doctor smile :D, oh and the new doctor is David Tennant Amy :roll: can't believe you forgot (well I suppose I did aswell :oops: ) Anyway, I can't wait till when the new series comkes out, I'll be there hiding behind my sofa does anyone actually know how long it is till the new series beams down to earth?

I hope Captain Jack does come back for series 3, he was really cool (I think he loved the doctor :scratch: then again maybe not) I'm really glad he's doing his own series, I hope its good *fingers crossed*.

Captain Jack was in the English T.V programme Dancing on Ice, anyone see it?
I didn't want Captain Jack to go, I thought he was a really good figure skater. Oh well.

I know David Tennant will be good! But Chris Eccleston did do a great job of it... But yes, I really enjoyed last series. Billie Piper's not much of an actress, but I don't think I would pick someone else for the part...

I saw the first ever episode in english class last year. After that I tried to watch it, but I always forgot, so the next thing I saw was another season, and there was a new guy and I got all confused, so I decided to forget about it and return to Charmed and Gilmore Girls lol

I wish the new series would hurry up and come out. Russell T. Davies is doing a great job with the episodes (I've tried to watch some of the older ones on UK Gold, but they make me zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)

Oh, and did anyone think that in the christmas special, the Arthur Dent comment was genius? I can't quite remember what it was now, but I know it made me laugh like two laughing things.

Lol no, there are many evil Daleks. Evil Evil Daleks. Yes, The TARDIS is a phone booth. A very cool one at that.

The Daleks are cone-shaped things that roll around on wheels, with plumbing thingies and electric shock thingies and lasery thingies. They're very cool. And evil. And have plumbing thingies. The plumbing thingies are the epitome of all evil in Dr Who! Down with the plumby thingies!

When is doctor who on tv again?

The tardis is an old fashioned police call box, not quite phone box, but the inside is far bigger than the outside. It makes a crazy woowooowooo sound when it travels places.

I'm not too sure why the daleks are so evil (in the old series back in the 80's or whenever) but what I gathered from the new series is that there was some sort of war between the daleks and the time lords, and all the timelords bar The Doctor were killed.

In the new series, the daleks tried to kill everyone, Rose and The Doctor (and succeeded in killing Captain Jack - for a while at least lol). Luckily, Rose breathed in the tardis' life (or something like that) and became all glowy and killed all the daleks. And then she kissed The Doctor, so The Doctor could absorb the tardis' life which caused him to regenerate into David Tennant.

Lastly, the new series is out in Spring, they haven't said the exact date yet, but UKTV Gold are always re-running last years series.

The new series wouldn't have anything to do with the old one would it? I owuldn't understand it if so!

I don't think it would be necessary to have watched the old series...they'll probably do a recap at the start anyway.

Did anyone catch the new episodes of Dr.Who. David Tennant is brilliant at playing him. And K9 is back!! And The Master. :evil: And who would have thouhgt that the Royle family were a bunch of werewolves, eh? And The Doctor is nor 'The Doctor of The Tardis' form Balamory. :lol:

I love Doctor Who. I'm always there infront of the t.v before it starts to here the beginning of the music!

I prefer david tennantto Chris eccelston. David is alot funnier and serious at the same time. He's also crazy which helps

We usually have our tea when watching Dr Who, and Elly usually scurries off to the loo when it starts and tea is ready.

But aside from that!

This weeks Dr Who looks like it's going to be a good'un, the Queen's coronation and something sinister in the televisions....interesting....

Excuse me Elly, but if you politely ask Amy (who, btw I love lots!) you will find out that whilst SHE has The Doctor... I have David Tennant, so :D

I do agree that Tennant makes a better Doctor, but Chris kick-started it. Okay, so David's fashion is FAR better (CONVERSE!!), PLUS he's an AMAZING actor (did you see him in the Pompadour episode?! I nearly cried my heart out!) but Chris was cool too! (Please note that I say this because Chris was from Manchester )

Apparently it's widely agreed by all the Dr Whovians that Tom Baker was the best Doctor. I have only ever seen a couple of the old episodes with him in, so I can't really comment, however, David Tennant has to rival Tom Baker for goodness-of-playing-the-doctor-ness.

Even if Tom Baker does do the amazingly funny and sarcastic narrating on Little Britain

Yes, but Doctor Who is BETTER than LB. :D And I am looking forward to tonight's!!!! I wish sometimes it wasn't so action-packed, that we'd get some kind of chance to calm down... but I thin DT brings some kind of calm eccentricness to it, and Rose is that stable... whiny.... thing.

Saturday's episode was FAB - I loved the Doctor's hair :lol!:

I also find it amusing how for two episodes running they've managed to end up in a place they didn't mean to - first the alternate universe then London, 1953 instead of New York 1957.

Makes you wonder about this Doctor's capabilities... Just joking!

In "The Idiot's Lantern", I thought Maureen Lipman was GREAT as the evil person - she really had that evil voice/sneer/look going.
