Mask:Wearing a mask is a form of disguise. Normally, it is a
thing worn on the face, typically for protection, concealment, performance, or
amusement. Nowadays, masks can be made
out of wood, plastic or paper.
In
Greece, in the worship of Dionysus
(god of fecundity and the harvest), the communicants’ attempt to impersonate
the deity by donning goatskins and by imbibing wine eventually developed the
sophistication of masking. And it was
Thespis (a 6th-century-BC
poet), who have been credited to introduce it in theater.
I have been fascinated with masks and love to do such, whereas
I can be as creative and imaginative as I can as I think of things to be put
and be done for it to look great.
Bonus:For this item to fit in the wizarding world, I would suggest
for it to be sorta have a morphing characteristic where the person who’ll wear
it, will look like anybody else, providing that he ties a hair of the person he
likes to mimic in the mask before he wears it and most importantly, the bearer
should have the permission from the Ministry of Magic, in this way, it’ll not
be used by mischievous people. It is, especially and mainly, for those who are
not a metamorphmagus, since licensed metamorphmagi do not have to possess any
alike. This law is similar to muggles’ illegal possession of firearms law,
where you are not allowed to be armed or own firearms if you’re not a police or
anything related, unless it is registered under your name.
Nail Polish:Nail Polish is made from a colored lacquer combination of
Arabic gun, egg whites, gelatin and beeswax made by the
Chinese. At times, they also use a mixture consisting
of mashed rose, orchid and impatiens petals combined with alum.
Nail Polish was invented by the Chinese
around 3000
B.C. Though it was the Japanese and Italians who have been thought to first
actually use the nail polish. Nail polish has been used by royalties and even
to signify social order by Chinese and Egyptians, respectively.
- Quote :
- Nail polish is traditionally worn by women, but is
gaining popularity with men as well, who may apply it to their fingernails,
toenails, or both.
I, myself, was very fond of using the nail polish, and I’ve
tried a lot of nail arts/designs using them. There were even times where my GUY
friends, who were all straight, requested me to have their nails polished. Shockingly, but impressing, one of them liked
my strawberry nail art design, so that’s what he requested to have. XD
There were lots of advantages that many of you might have
not yet known about nail polishes. Well,
I’ll share some to you.
- They’re
fashionable. They’ve been improved
through the years, and there have also been machines built for nail arts. There were even instant stick-me ones.
- They
hide nail dirt. This might sound gross to some, but face it!! Cause it really
do!! XD
- They
teach you to be patient. XD Of
course, making a nail art is time consuming which is also depending on the
art you’re doing. Even if you’re just having it plain, you still have to
be patient waiting for the polish to dry.
- They’ll
enhance your creativity as you think of more styles and colors for your
nails to match, for example, what you wear, what you like, the weather, or
the season.
The only things I don’t like with
nail polishes [1] don’t smell good, and [2] some brushes would and might be not
great if used for doing nail arts.
Bonus:I think, introducing it to the wizarding world would be
great! Though for it to fit in, I have to suggest that it should be a nail
polish that can form itself to any form a person wants it to be. So, there can be a 3D style, animation,
changing of colors and wizarding world photos (those that moves), and have it
be scented by various flower or fruit scents, that would even be a quirky, yet
witty alternative for perfumes and colognes.
