Round One: Myths and Legends

Welcome to the first round of our fifth graphics tournament! For this first round, you will need to create two graphics.

The theme for this round is Myths and Legends - and how you choose to interpret this topic in your graphics is your choice. However, make sure each of your graphics depicts something different.

Your graphics should be blend size; anything above 400x400, but no larger than 800x600. There should be at least one piece of text on each.

You will have around two weeks to submit your graphics to Duck the Duck.

Please upload them to a photo host which will not identify you, such as imageshack, tinypic or servimg (not photobucket).

For this first round, ONLY those who do not submit their entries will be eliminated.

Round One: Scores

The first round of the graphics tournament has come to an end. Only those who did not send an entry are being eliminated. You can see your scores below.

Your scores from each round will add up into the next round.

Votes are multiplied by 50 to obtain the scores which will be transformed into housepoints at elimination. A further 50 points are given to everyone who submitted an entry.

Round Two: Wallpaper

Welcome to the second round of the fifth graphics tournament! In this second round, your challenge is to create a wallpaper.

Your task is to create a wallpaper with the theme of your choice.

Your wallpaper should be sized between 800x600 and 1024x768. There should be at least one piece of text on the wallpaper.

In the second round, the two or three participants with the lowest scores will be eliminated.

Umm....when are the graphics going up for vote?

My MASSIVE apologies for not sorting this out sooner. I had a complete lack of enthusiasm (and I know, that's not really an excuse). As I've taken so long to do this, the second round will be the penultimate, meaning there will only be one more round. This hasn't been a good tournament - completely my fault - but I will definitely do better for you next term. That said, here are the scores for this round.

FINAL ROUND: FREE CHOICE

Welcome to the final round of the fifth graphics tournament! In this round, your challenge is to create a graphic of any kind - it's a free choice. However, there are a couple of requirements:

-Size cannot exceed 800x600
-If you choose to make icons, please make at least six (and no more than ten) and present them on a single canvas
-There should be at least one piece of text on the graphic

As we are so near to the end of term, please get your graphics to me by the 15th February at the latest, as this will then allow for at least a few days voting.

This round will determine our first, second and third place tournament winners and you will all be put into one group vote. Good Luck!
