Digital Designer

You must have completed the following before attempting this badge:
L2: Advanced fashion designer

To earn this badge you must complete the following

Search through fashion websites and select three fashion designs (photo with someone wearing it) - make sure that it is high fashion and not a normal every day look.

Recreate each outfit on your computer however you want. Dont worry if it doesnt look the same, though it must be more than just a paintwork creation.

Post the original photos next to your own creations here and write a short paragraph about why you chose that design and what you changed in your own design/

I was a bit confused with what you wanted in terms of change and similarity... and not just a paint picture, so this is what I came up with:

Look #1:
I altered the colouring from green to red, to reflect my Gryffindor loyalties. I think it brings a little more colour to a collection to use a bold red rather than a dull green, and it is more summery. I chose this design because I liked the cut of the bodice and the shape of the gathering at the waist, and the fabric choice of velvet is fun and inventive.

Look #2:
I chose this look to jazz up my 'collection' with a trousers look. I also think that the colouring goes well with the previous look - tan with red gives a warm feel to the collection, and again reflects the Gryffindor colours and mindset. Some minor changes I made include a ruffle to the neck of the blouse, and an embellishment on the side of the pant.

Look #3:
My final look deviates from the previous two in colour scheme. I have a life-long love of polka dots, because they're fun, and I chose this look because of it. I also liked the combination of blouse and skirt which reflects the modern woman's fashion in the workplace. I changed the colour of the skirt to brighten the look overall, and exaggerated the shoulders into a lamb-of-mutton sleeve to accentuate the shape of the garment and to add a little overzealous flare.

Design 1:

I chose this design because it's offbeat and kinda something that you don't see every day. I like the fact that it looks like something that's comfortable and could be worn out on the beach. I changed the color to red, to be more Gryffindor friendly, while the bra underneath is now a gold. On the top I put thick chains of gold to keep the vest held together. The pants have been turned into a long skirt instead and added with a golden tie belt to accent it.

I chose this design because I really do love the orange skirt paired with the blue top. Also, I love the design of the top and the cut of it and the bunching on the skirt. I kept the colors mostly, though I eliminated the orange on the top. I brought the skirt up to be on the shirt because I feel it's more classy. I added a draped shoulder design and asymmetrical sash in shades a tad darker than the original blue. Also, I changed the skirt so that the back would be full length and give a different feel.

For this one I went for something a bit more funky. I liked the idea of having sheer things incorporated into the collection and that's what drew me to this particular design. I did change the color to red again, because I wanna do some Gryffindor justice. The top I just changed the color and left it sheer. However, I did decide to separate the top and the bottom into two pieces. Also, I changed the panted bottom into a little less sheer of a skirt with pink ruffles down the center.
