Welcome to the first round of Last Icon Maker Standing! As with all of the rounds in this competition, you are making only one icon, using the image provided below.

Each participant starts with a score of 0 and then this will either increase or decrease dependant on votes, when the time comes. HOWEVER, this first round is for points gathering purposes only, there will be no elimination.

You have one week to send your icons to me by PM. Please upload them to an image host which will not identify you, such as imageshack, tinypic or servimg (not photobucket).

Rules:
-Create an icon using ONLY the image provided. Add no other images.
-You may add your own text, textures, colouring, brushes or patterns.
-Be as creative as possible.
-Icon must be 100x100 in size (including any borders!)
-No animation.

Round One: Harry Potter

There is no elimination this round! Even those who did not submit anything for round one can still participate. HOWEVER, eliminations begin next round and if those same people do not submit again, they are out for good (along with the lowest scorer).

What you see below is a list of names in the order that the scores fall. I will be keeping scores a secret for a while, until we begin the eliminations, as eliminations and final points scores are not entirely dependant on the votes, just the order. Scores are built upon each round, so submit your best work for round two.

Participants - you should take a look at the voting thread and read comments on your and other's icons. This will hopefully help you score higher in the next round, by knowing what voters like and what they don't.

Three pictures to choose from in this round. You may use them however you wish, combining them in any way you like, or simply using the one that grabs you the most.

Eliminations begin this round! The lowest scorer will be eliminated, as well as those who have not participated at all. Eliminations are based on the score totals, not the housepoint totals.

What you see below is a list of names in the order that the scores fall. The number in brackets is your current score. This is a combined total of points from the first and second rounds. This will continue as a running total throughout the tournament. Below this, you will see the housepoints you've earned overall (again, a running total). Those in red are eliminated!

Housepoints are worked out thus:

Eliminations continue this round! The lowest scorers will be eliminated. Those who did not participate in this round have had three penalty points removed from their score, and have not earned any housepoints. Eliminations are based on the score totals, not the housepoint totals.
