New Features Added to Site!

Several updates have been made on the forum, have a look below to see all the new features!

Multi Quote
This allows you to quote more than one person in a post. Click the multiquote button on each post you want to quote for it to appear in the input box, or click it again to deselect, then hit "reply".

The new buttons look like this:

Advanced Profile

Profiles have been updated, with the following features:

-Visitor Messages: you can now leave a profile message for any member. Simply click their member name, and leave a message on the tab "visitor messages". These are NOT private, and once left, can then be seen by any other member. However, you do have the ability to hide and delete messages. Think of it as a Facebook Wall.
-Profile: Displays your profile as it is shown in posts.
-Statistics: Displays some interesting statistics about the user's posting habits, as well as how many reputation points you've got.
-Contact: The different ways the member allows others to contact them.
-RPG Character Sheet: Just as before, this lets you fill in your Great Hall Character Sheet.

Miscellaneous

-Avatars now show in the memberlist

Special Announcement

You will now see a bar across the top of every page on the forum. This bar will occasionally have important announcements or messages for you so check there regularly

Reputation System

A "reputation" system has been added - you may know this as "karma" on other boards. This works in two ways:

-On every post you see a +/- mark on the right hand side. If you feel the post is excellent and the member deserves to be awarded for it, then press the +. This will add 1 reputation point to that member's profile. There is also negative reputation if you don't like the post. This will subtract 1 reputation point from that member's profile. This should be used sparingly, and you ONLY get to give 5 reps per day. Reputation points add up and are displayed underneath your avatars and in your profile.

-"Thanks" feature. On topics that you have created, every subsequent member reply will appear with the following image:



You can then choose ONE post in the replies to "give thanks" to, by clicking that button. This will add to the user's rep. It should be used to give thanks to the reply you consider best in your topic. This could be used, for example, if you've made a poll and asked for opinions and someone gave you an exemplary opinion.

Contribution Points System

The Contribution Points system is simply a fun feature that gives you "points" for different actions around the site.

-You will earn 1 point for every profile visitor message you receive.
-You will earn 1 point for every day since registration.
-You will earn X number of points for every post you leave, and X number of posts for every topic you make. This varies from forum to forum, and in some forums it's turned off completely (see if you can guess where! )

Misc.

You can view both how many Reputation Points and how many Contribution Points you have in every post, underneath your avatar. This info can also be seen in your profile under the "statistics" tab.
