Butterfly.

It would have been a great day, apoart from the fact that the clouds hung over the house like a blanket, a blanket of death. Jamie heard Violet rumaging around in the kitchen... he ignored her and stared into space.

"You need to eat something." Violet mumbled, walking back into the living room. She sat a bowl of soup infrot of him, pushing her hair back as she did. "Please dont make me force you to eat it." She whispered softly.

Jamie smiled a little, knwoing that her half assed attempt to cheer him up was working. But he really shouldn't be happy, something was comming, again too. He didn't know what it was but he was getting mader by the minute because Violet was acting like nothing was wrong.

Violet sighed, bending down to stare at him. She pushed the bowl closer towards him and held at the spoon. "Come on...just eat some of it." She said, her knees starting to hurt from bending.

Jamie took a bite, not bothering to take the bowl off her. He looked at her, narrowing his eyes while he chewed. He swallowed then looked at Violet.
"What are you thinking? Aren't you afraid?"

Violet licked her lips nervously before standing up. Ignoring his question, she walked back into the kitchen, looking for something to eat.

Jamie got up, walking behind her. He wasn't going to let her dodge the question. He sisn't think that she'd accepted it yet. Maybe it would take a little home truths about the last times, maybe he would have to remind her what it was like.
"Remember what it's like Violet," Jamie half sneered at her "don't you? When Voldemort practically kidnapped you and almost killed you several times... and Im sure there's been other times since then when he's came after you that I just don't know about yet? Has there?" Jamie stopped, shifting his weight to the other foot. "Just tell me what your thinking!" he yelled at her. He didn't mean to yell, but he had done so before he knew what he was doing.

Violet whimpered softly, backing up into the counter. "Why are doing this? Just leave me alone. I shouldnt have to tell everyone whats going on in my head." She said, glaring.

"You do when It helps me sleep at night... It makes me feel better knwoing that you know what's going on... you do know whats comming dont you?"

Violet ignored him again, grabbing her jacket from the coat closet. Slipping it on, she walked outside, looking for a tree to climb in and scan for animals.

Eris proceeded to the door, and knocked hard against the wood with his fist. He was lost and had no idea where he was or what he was doing, but he hoped the people inside could give him some direction. He then heard something close to him, a scuffle of feet...

Jamie sat down on the chair, not r4eally sure if he should follow her. She was becoming a little ratty these days, but he still loved her as his best friend. He wouldn't change her for the world. Only thing was, he had to know what she thought it wasm all he had was his one sided thoughts. Jamie heard the knock on the door and got up to answer it. He opned the door, and an unfamilar face was standing there... "Hello?" Jamie questioned immediatly.

Violet growled softly, looking around. Seconds later, she smelled someone around her. Another vampire. "Perfect....now I have to murder someone." She hissed.

Jamie coughed slightly to get the persons attention, he gave Violet a warning look... he might be human... It's not like her vampire senses were perfect...

"uh..hello..I'm Eris.." He smiled uncertainley. "I'm sorry to bother you but I have aboslutely no idea where I am". He looked about and then looked the boy up and down. "I think that something has happened to me..I cant remember how I got here."

Violet eyes snapped to Jamies. "You just hush it." She hissed, looking at the new comer. "Thats nice...take a right at the end of the drive and you will be in town." She said before pushing past Jamie and into the house.

Jamie raised an eyebrow at the boy, he had no idea who he was, and the worst thing about it was, the boy didn't seem to have a clue why he was there."Eris, Im Jamie..." Jmaie offered his hand to the boy.

Violet sat on her bed, sighing. Her head was pounding from the head ache she had and she took her coat off, trying to catch some sleep.

Eris hissed at the girl as she walked past. He didnt know where he was or why, but he did remember who he was, and he would make it very well known with her if she was not careful. He took the offered hand, shook it, and then bowed before the boy. "Glad to make your aqquaintance, may I enter?" He asked, smiling gently.

Violet growled, hearing him ask to come on. Stnading up slowly, she walked to the door, cracking it to see if Jamie would do so or not.

When the boy came back up from his bow Jamie thumped him in the face, hopefully sending him flying backwards onto the ground.

Eris rose instantly. "What was this? This boy expects to defeat a 700 year old vampire like me? I am royalty." He thought to himself. "I dont know what you have against me friend but I hope for your sake you make your apology quickly." He glared into the boys eyes, his black aura glowing and his eyes turning a dark red.

Violet opened the door, walking fast towards Jamie. "You lay one hand on him and I swear..." She hissed, her fangs shifting.

Jamie eyes, for the first time in four years, turned black with anger. His hands where at the ready infront of him, a fireball serured safely in his palm. Jamie raised his eyebrow. He hoped the young boy knew what that ment... Jamie was surely beat him.

"Jamie, dont. Let me handle him." Violet said, looking at Jamie with worry in her eyes.

Eris laughed in his face. "I take that as a no then", He grinned so confidentley. His aura glowed tremendously bright, and when the black light dimmed down, The hunter was no longer standing in front of their door. "Why do I feel so much hate in you, friend?" The voice came from what seemed like thin air

Jamie growled at the boy, he didn't need teeth to be scary or anything else in that matter. Jamie's eyes didn't flicker back to their normal colour...

Violet's eyes widen and she backed up. "I..whats going on..." She whispered softly.

"All i asked for was help friend, but instead I recieved violence, I have no wish to fight you, I will only defend myself if neccesary. You see I have survived centuries of battle, and still I am here. So tell me, what do you wish to achieve with this aggression?" The voice echoed around the house, but Eris was no where to be seen..for now

"Nothing" Jamie said simply, narrowing his eyes.
"Ask him," Jamie added as an after thought. He's the one coming knocking on our door.

Violet closed her eyes before opening them, her night vision coming to her. She looked around for a few seconds before closing her eyes again. "I cant find him." She whispered. "Look, just go away!" Violet yelled.

"It seems to me you are very troubled, you may dislike me, but to make me an enemy would be foolish I assure you. Now I ask again," He said, his body reappearing slowly in front of the two young people, "Please, May I come in?" He asked, grinning at them both.

"Just let him come in, Jamie." Violet whispered softly, looking over at him.

Jamie looked at Violet, he was still mad, his eyes still black. He shrugged then ran into the back gareden to unleash his anger.

Eris saw this and heard the girl speak. "Why thankyou miss" He said, bowing to her and taking her hand, kissing it gently. "I wont stay long I assure you" He said softly, smiling again

Violet sneered, snatching her hand back. "I said you could stay, not assult me." She hissed, walking into the kitchen again.

"I am deeply sorry to offend my lady." Eris took hold of a chair in the kitchen and offered it to the girl. He then sat down on one on the opposite side. "First of all, I need to know, where am I? What country? What realm? And who is your lord?"

Jamie threw the fireball at the fence in the garden. he sighed and turned to walk into the kitchen. He was calm now, just ready to question the boy.

"Welcome back, dear friend" He said smiling at the boy. "I hope that I have not angered you too much, I merely need your help"

Violet rolled her eyes. "I'll let you think of all this." She hissed to him, sitting on top of the bar.

Eris glanced at the girl. She was so angry and full of hate. What kind of background has she had? He wondered. "She is pretty...Deffinitly too young for me though" He thought to himself

Jamie looked at the boy,
"Rule one, don't talk like that..." Jamie ordered
"Rule 2; I have the freedom to make up rules as I go, gettit?" Jamie asked.
"Now, you wetre saying, you got lost, or rather you don't remeber where you are. What was the last thing you remember?"

Violet pushed her hair back again, blood lust getting the best of her. "I need to go." She said, trying to think of where willing humans could be.

Jamie looked at her "Not now Violet, just two minutes and we'll go into town together,"£ he promised.

Violet swallowed hard but nodded. She sat back on the bar again, crossing her legs.

The boys dialect was very strange. What did he mean by "don't talk like that". However, Eris nodded in agreement. "The last thing I remember, was the battle. Were you in it? I remember Lord Ferguson rode up to me and stabbed me through the heart with his lance. However I remember a face, dimly, and then exruciating pain. And then I seemed to wake up from some sort of sleep and I found myself here."

"I see...you are also a hunter of the night" He said whilst looking at the girl. He glanced at the boy, "you too?"

Jamie looked at Violet again
"This isn't good," he admitted

"Lord who?" Violet asked, confused. She had been playing with a string on her shorts, trying to keep her mind from her thrist.

Eris laughed. "You are teasing me?" He asked in confusion. "Wait....tell me the year that we are currently in."
