Hayes (Evanna's town)

James smiled at Evanna's father, who looked like he was trying to hurt his hand. But he didnt flinch, hell, he didnt even feel it. "Yes, I'm dating Evanna. She is a beautiful young woman." He said softly, his eyes never leaving his.

James looked at her father, hearing his thoughts. He let a smile grace his face and looked at Evanna's mother. "I can see where she gets her looks from, Mrs. Lawrence." He said, taking her hand. He brought her hand to his lips, kissing the back of her hand softly. When he let her go, he wrapped his arm around Evanna's waist.

James tried to keep cool but didnt say anything about being hungry. Of course he was. How the hell was someone suppose to deny the blood running threw Evanna'a viens. He could feel his fangs trying to shift, but he stopped thinking about it. "I'm eighteen. I just turned it last month." he told him, noddng. Yeah...last month two hundred years ago

Evanna bit her lip, holding back a remark and a laugh. She loved James' sarcasm sometimes, or maybe it was only sarcastic to her. She wondered how her parents were going to find out about James' trie identity...surely they had noticed so far...they were in the Order for goodness sake. "It looks great, mom," she said.

Heather looked around the table, pleased with the meal she had put together. "Well, dig in everyone."

Theo helped himself while thinking of what to say next to James.

Evanna piled up some food on her plate and started eating.

James cleared his throat, moving to sit by Evanna. He looked over at Evanna's plate before putting something on his, trying not to make a face when he tasted the food.

Evanna sighed and felt like kissing James full on, even in front of her parents. Thank you so much! Didn't know if you'd go that far...you're wonderful! she thought trying not to grin.

THeodore looked at James and said, "You got parents in the Order, boy?" He was scarfing down his wifes food, lovely as usual. This boy still looks fishy...I'll break him one way or another he thought toughly.

Heather just smiled and ate looking at Evanna trying to say "It'll be over soon, honey" with her eyes.

James smiled at Evana when he heard what she said. He turned back to her father, shaking his head. "People from the Order arent suppose to talk about it. But no, they arent. I, on the other hand, am." he told him.

Theodore smiled and thought this boy knows how to play the game...smart. THeodore nodded approvingly and said, "Well, is this a day trip, because I gotta see if this boy is alright for you, Evanna?"

Evanna smiled broadly and said, "We were planning on staying a couple days, but we're at a hotel so we don't bother you too much, dad. BUt I do want you guys to get to know each other, and so I can catch up with the family" She knew she always had to tip-toe around his feelings, and was just glad she was so good at it these days.

HEather breathed a sigh of relief thinking THat means he's okay.

James pushed around some of the food, before getting another bite. "You are a very good cook Mrs. Lawerence." He said to her.

Heather giggled shyly and said, "Thanks, James. And we can have dessert later on, I have some homemade ice-cream in the freezer, just made it yesterday". She stood up to clear the table.

Evanna helped her mother put the dishes in the sink then looked at James and said, "Well, why don't I give you a tour of the house?" She looked around to check if this was okay with her parents.

Theo nodded, trying to give them space. "Yeah, I'm going to watch TV for a little bit."

Heather nodded absentmindedly saying, "Yeah, I'm gonna just clear these dishes" as she pulled out her wand to clean the plates off. She was being very willing, that boy James was very charming.

Evanna grinned and lead James into the hallway and said, "Success!" squeezing his hand excitedly.

James smiled at her, taking her hand and pulling her up the stairs. "Let's go, love. I want to see your whole house." he said, nodding to her.

"We don't really have to look at the house, I was just giving you time to breathe. You're hungry for real, I know...so would you like me to assist your hunger?" she asked him. They walked down the hall and she looked at some pictures of her family and some of the Order. At the end of the hall was the stairs and she lead him up them saying, "I wonder if my old room is still clean?" But she knew her mother probably kept it nice and clean, hoping she'd come home soon.

"Aww...and I was looking forward to looking at the house." he told her, wrapping his arms around her. He nuzzled into her neck, kissing softly.

Evanna giggled at his soft touch and said, "Wait," and pulled him into her old room, quietly shutting the door back behind them. Her parents would never know what happened, or they would guess wrong at least.

James pushed her lightly against the door, turning her nec slightly. "Think you can handle this?" he asked her softly, kissing her neck again.

*I gotta gooo! >.< mom thinks 2 hours is "too long" on the computer. hehe, I'll be on tomorrow though*

Evanna rolled her eyes and said, "Yes, James. WE've done this before, hun." She breathed in deeply and let it out slowly getting ready, despite what she told him. Her body tingled at his lips on her neck.

James nodded and softly bit down on her neck.

Evanna moaned quietly, she couldn't help herself. She closed her eyes softly and tried not to move her body.

When James had his fill, he moved back from her, licking the wound to make it heal.

Evanna looked at him and said, "Are you okay now?" Her mind wandered to her parents, they were probably wondering what they were doing. Well, her dad was for sure.

"Yeah...I'm ok, love." he told her, kissing her forehead.

"Well, what do you think of the parents?" she asked him curiously getting up. She said, "Lets look around, makes some noise, or they'll get curious and come and 'check' on us." She looked around her room. The walls were still white, but there were posters and pictures almost everywhere, most of them magical ones. There were some old pictures from when she was little, hanging out at Order headquarters with the members, and bands she liked. She smiled memories rushing through her brain.

"Your parents are...different." He told her, looking around her room. "So this is what a girl's room looks like..." He mumbled.

Evanna smirked and said, "Yeah, one in her comfortable state anyways. And yeah, my parents sure are something. But I'm glad I don't live here all year anymore. I'll be glad when I graduate and don't have to return at all," she said coldly.

James looked down, not sure of what to say.

"Especially to be rid of having to see my father and his rotten ways. He's damn lucky I don't act like him, and I turned out so great," Evanna went on not realizing James didn't reply. She was getting angry now. Tears started coming down her face before she could stop them. She turned her back and stared without really looking out the window onto a field that ended in a forest. "He just is such a jerk. Because you did great things in life, doesn't mean you can treat everyone not as great as you like dirt." she kept going on, her voice quivering. Her hands were shaking, she was so angry. She sniffled and shook her head hopelessly.

James stood up, pulling her into a hug. "Hey, you ok?" he asked her softly, holding her agianst him.

Evanna wrapped her arms around his waist and said, "Yea, it just gets to me, when I shouldn't care I guess."

James kissed the side of her head, nodding. "It's ok love." he told her.

Evanna sighed and looked up at him saying, "You're wonderful." She kissed his cheek and wiped away the tears on her face, looking over in a mirror. She laughed, "So how are we gonna break the truth about you, hun?" she said curiously. She decided she'd push thoughts of every bad thing out of her head, for now.

"Um...I dont know how we are going to tell them." he mumbled, kissing her softly.

Evanna kissed him back, whispering, "Maybe our judgement will slip playing the part, and they'll just find out. Or," here Evanna stopped kissing him and looked at him, saying, "or! Or we could just go tell them right now, and maybe my dad will kick us out, and then we could leave and say 'well at least we tried'! Let's do that, so we could get outta here, James." she said excitedly. Anything to get out of this place quick, she thought.

James nodded, looking down at her. "IF that is what you want." He told her, taking her hand.

Evanna smiled standing up. "You can be so easy to please," she said kissing his cheek. She took his hand and walked down the stairs with James. "You wanna talk, or me?" she said. She really didn't care either way, they'd be out soon, and that's what mattered.

"I think maybe you should tell them." James told her, wrapping his arms around her wasit again.

Evanna closed her eyes and said, "I knew it." She walked into the living room with James by her side and told her dad, "I have to tell you something about James, to you and mom."

Theodore looked up at James and glared at him thinking I knew it!.

Heather walked into the room when she heard her daughter's serious tone. "What is it sweetie?" she asked sitting down on the couch.

Evanna looked at the ground and said, "Well, plain and simple-James is a vampire." She glanced up at her father cautiously and saw him roll his eyes.

"I know that, I figured that out already, Ev. But what I don't get is, why the hell are we all alive still?" Theo looked at James accusingly and said, "Why is my baby girl still alive? WHat are you playing at?"

During this whole thing Heather was trying to catch her breath. I was in the Order! How could I have not noticed this sort of thing! I mean, I saw the obvious charm and great looks...

James looked down, tapping his fingers. "Because I told The Order I would have better self control then others. You may know me as John who got killed years ago. I use to help you sometimes. I happen to be in some of those pictures up stairs." He mumbled, not looking up.

Heather gasped, and Theo almost fell out of his recliner. Evanna looked at James curiously thinking What?

"What?!" Theo nearly shouted, recovering himself. "So you really were in the Order then..." he mumbled.

Evanna looked at the floor thinking Well this isn't how I thought things would play out...

"Yes, now if you excuse me. I would love for me and my girlfriend to leave." he told them, glaring. He stood up, picking Evanna up with him and walking out the door.

Evanna didn't say anything as she was carried out of her house. She didn't know what to say...

After a few minutes, James sat her down, walking towards the hotel.

Evanna took James hand and after a minute finally said, "Well...that was....not what I expected it to be."

James said nothing and let his hand close around hers.

Evanna walked into the hotel room and sat on the bed saying, "Well...what do we want to do now? I don't think we'll be going over to my house again..."

"I'm sorry, Evanna...truley...I am.." He told her softly.

Evanna looked at him and said, "Hey, don't worry it's okay." She got off the bed and went over to the window. She wasn't sure if she was angry or sad about what happened. She didn't think her parents were gonna like James from the start, so what was she dissapointed over? I'm just a stupid kid, still. Trying to seek praise and happiness from my parents... she thought angrily.

"No you arent, beautiful..." James said, standing up. "Look...do you want me to go back adn tell them sorry?" He asked her softly.
