Sitting in the Great Hall

There was a boy that was sitting at the Ravenclaw Table, currently reading a book. He wore the Hogwarts robes with the Ravenclaw crest and colors. He also had what looked to be long, dark blue hair in a low ponytail, slightly pale skin, not too pale though and violet colored eyes. He also had strange black arm bands on his arms. He seemed to be very engrossed in the book, as because he didn't seem to be talking to any of the students.

Shadow walked into the Great Hall, allowing herself a small half-smile as she took in the familiar sight. So long since she had walked these corridors, if it wasn't for the ghosts, she would be lost in the corridors. Her violet gaze scanned the hall and she started to walk over to the Slytherin table, her cloak billowing slightly behind her as she walked.

The Ravenclaw student looked up when he heard the doors of the Great Hall open. He looked at Shadow and raised a blue eyebrow in curiosity. His curiosity soon overcame him so he snapped his book shut and started walking over to Shadow.

Shadow stopped at the sound of footsteps in the quiet hall, and then told herself off mentally for being so paranoid. She sighed silently. Ever since she had come back from her longer-than-expected visit to her home dimension, the half-demon had been a lot jumpier than usual, almost flipping out whenever Peeves happened to burst out of a wall, only to be sent packing with a couple of bolts of magic up his backside.
The violet-eyed girl turned her gaze to the person to whom the footsteps belonged and frowned slightly. Why was he walking towards her? What did he want? She ran a hand through her white streaked hair, telling herself off again.

He soon reached her and then he started talking to her. "Hello there. I am Dominus, who are you, if I may ask?" he asked her in a curious yet polite manner.

Shadow gazed at the proclaimed Dominus for a few brief moments before she gave her answer in a quiet, equally polite manner.
"My name is Shadow Roth," She said, "May I know why you ask?" The slytherin student shifted her bag into a more comfortable position on her shoulder, her head slightly tilted to one side in a questionning manner, her angular violet eyes curious.

He gave her a slight smirk and replied by saying "I was just wondering who you were because you are the only person I have seen that has the same colored eyes as me" he said as he stared back at her with his slitted violet colored eyes.

One corner of Shadow's mouth turned upwards in a half smile, but she didn't bare her teeth, not after the last incident when someone accused her of being a vampire. Her gaze shifted to look downwards at the stone floor, hugging an ancient looking leather-bound book, written in a strange runite language, to her chest.
"I will agree with you that it is not the most common of eye colourings..." She said quietly.

"I agree. Some people thought I was some kind of dark Magical Creature because of my eye color" he said as he rolled his eyes.

Shadow bit her lip, her violet gaze turning back to look at Dominus.
"Then be thankful that their words are not true." She said quietly. Why not just tell him? Everyone in the school knows who you are, but he didn't... She thought to herself, and then regretted having thought about it. Now it would just go round and round in her head and she would never get rid of it until another problem came along and took its place.

"Actually, they are true" he said as he smiled, revealing fangs.

Shadow lowered her gaze again, smiling slightly as she snorted softly.
"Luckily, your kind are not alone in this dimension." She said cryptically.

"Actually, I think I am the only one. I am a type of Vampire. I am what those Muggle Christians would call me as an Incubus" he said.

(I hope I don't get in trouble for this stuff because Incubi and Succubi are really different types of vampires)

- I don't think it should matter... -

"Then welcome the the last-of-your-kind club," Shadow said sadly, thinking of her now deceased clan, her only family, the only ones that had been left of their race.

"Oh? Your the last of your kind too? What are you?" he asked her.

Shadow locked gazes with Dominus, violet with violet.
"I am a half-demon, daughter of Karthragan, Prince of Darkness and Arella, Senator of Synarin."

"I see. I guess we're both alone then. An Incubus and a Half-Demoness" he said.

Shadow snorted quietly again in laughter.
"Yeah, I guess," She murmured, more to herself than to anyone else.

"So, what are you abilities as a Demoness?" he asked her.

Shadow hesitated, wondering whether or not she should disclose her full abilities or not. When she spoke, her hesitation showed.
"I can wield wandless magic better than magic with a wand and I can morph into a 'soul animal'." She said.

"Nice. I, myself, am a shape shifter only much more advanced. You see, when I shapeshift into something, I literally become what I morph into. So, for example, let's say I wanted to turn into, oh, I don't know, Harry Potter. If I transformed into him, I would literally become him. You understand?" he asked her.

Shadow nodded.
"I understand," She said before holding her hand outstretched, her palm facing upwards. A small spark of magic appeared before it grew into an orb of black energy with an occasional flash of white and red.

"Cool" he said with a grin as he shapeshifted into a werewolf.

Shadow morphed herself into a black wolf, gazing up at the werewolf with liquid black eyes. Her only distinguishing feature was a diamond shaped patch of white fur between her eyes, just where the humanoid Shadow had a coal black charka gem.

Dominus shapeshifted back into his real form, however, this time he had bright orange hair and it was spiked.

Shadow smoothly morphed back into her humanoid form, flicking her white-streaked black hair from her eyes as she picked up her book and bag again.

"You leaving?" he asked her, raising an orange eyebrow as he watched her gather up her things.

"No, not unless you want me to," Shadow said, "It is just that there are a great many things I carry with me that I wish not to lose."

He nodded his head to show he understood. "Ah, now I understand. I just thought you were leaving is all" he said.

"Not unless you wish me to leave," Shadow said quietly, locking gazes with the vampire again.

"Nah, I rather like having someone similar to me around. It takes the loneliness away" he said.

"It does..." Shadow said sadly, her gaze falling to the ground sadly, almost as if she was going to cry.

"Please tell me your not gonna cry" he said with a frown.

Shadow shook herself out of her thoughts, pulling two metallic vambraces from her bag and quickly strapping them on while she spoke.
"I apologise, I lost myself to memory."

"That's never happened to me before so I wouldn't know how that feels" he said honestly.

Shadow sighed, looking up after she had finished putting on the vambraces.
"Perhaps one day I will tell you about the memory, but not now, not while the pain is still present."

He nodded his head to show he understood. "Alright then, that's fine with me" he said with a smile on his face.

Shadow managed a small smile back, her head slightly tilted to one side again.
"So, what year are you in?"

"I'm in my Second Year" he said with a smile as he scratched the back of his head.

"I'm redoing my fourth year," Shadow said with a slight smile. "I missed half of it because I was called back to my home dimension."

"Ah, I see. Well, that must be really irritating, having to repeat a year and all" he said.

"Not really, I barely did anything of the year. The only annoying thing is being a year older than everyone else." Shadow said, shrugging.

"Ah, I see. Well, I've had to repeat a year before so I wouldn't know how that feels" he said as he shrugged his shoulders.

Shadow sighed.
"Well, I'd better go and get on with my studies. I'd rather not repeat Fourth Year yet again..."

"Alright then, see ya Shadow" he said with a smile as he turned on his heel and walked back towards the Ravenclaw Table, his robes billowing in a non-existent wind.
