Ginny sat down at the table, her quill and parchment notebook in hand. She placed them calmly in front of her and raised her eyes to meet Luna's.

"So, Luna, where you during anything between after 8:06 p.m. to 11:22 p.m? Is there anybody you were with that I could talk to so that I can verify that?" Ginny asked her complacently.

(Luna smiled at something in the sky before answering in a sing-song voice)

"Did you know that the thestrals of Hogwarts like sugar cubes with pumkin juice? They dont like the dark nights, though they can see better than we can and they tell secrets of the trees"

"Are you saying that you were feeding the thestrals during that time period?" Ginny asked, confused but writing down Luna's words nonetheless. "What secrets of the trees did they tell you?"

"The thestrals sometimes come up to the school under the trees, but they will not come to the stairs. The trees have whispered words of accidental confusion. I heard them, but their words are so quiet..."

"Thank you Luna. Did you stay with them when people heard the scream?" Ginny asked. "And, where you outside for much longer? Did you see anything...odd?"

"What were the tree telling you Luna?And why can't the thestrals come up the stairs?"

:: Herby asked as a huge grin formed on her face. Herby started feeling like this was pointless, trying to get answers from a person who talks to trees.::

“Many shadows walked the grounds…They scared the thestrals…they were not meant to be out there…and the scream…they disappeared when they heard the scream…but there wasn’t one.

(She giggled)

Everyone was inside…the trees whispered to stay inside, they ran outside and then inside…the thestrals don’t like where the forbidden plants were taken, the trees whispered warnings and accidents

"So Luna, are you saying that the "shadows" came outside and stole a " forbidden plant"? How many "shadows" where there, that the thestral saw? And, what kind of warnings and accidents where the thestrals saying?"

Etta walked into the room wearing a Cork-screw necklace and smiled at Luna.

"Oh i like your ear rings, do you want swap? You can have my necklace and i can your ear rings?" Etta smiled as she sat down beside the girl. "Luna, i understand that you liked Professer Trewlaney, did you know she was my mentor? Hmm, indeed, such a lovely woman. But you arent being taught by her are you? I bet this death has shocked you slightly, but your ever so brave to not show it."

Etta thought for a moment and then spoke very softly.

"Luna dear, did you do as the trees suggested? Did you listen to them? Did you stay inside when everyone else was out?"

"Greetings, Lovegood" Fated snorted as he pushed his way through the people to the front. "Mind if I ask you if you hear voices from the trees? If so, are they suspcious about the goings on here? What do you know about Potter's whereabouts?" He asked. Then paused to let the girl slowly let it sink into her mind as he was aware of her attention span issues.~

“There were not one or two shadows, groups and single shadows, the thestrals huddled together at the edge of the forest…the trees bent down and unplanted the roots of the whispers in the night…but he who took…the trees whisper of wrong but mistakes lead to accidents in protection of other trees”

(Luna grinned at Etta)

“They are nice aren’t they?”

(She went back to dreamyness)

“The trees tell no lies, you should always listen to their whispers, they speak to only those who do not fear the answers”

(She glanced up at Fated, shock on her face before turning and smiling at something which was not there)

“The trees can see everything, and the shadows were there yet some invisible shadows appear against the light of the moon.”

(She looked up)

“Did you know Thestrals are friends with hippos?”

"Luna is there a hippo on the lose?" Etta asked caught up in Luna's dreamynesss. "Uh erm, scrap that Luna, tell me, what do the trees whisper to you exactly, what do they tell you? Who was this he? Was it Malfoy Luna? Did you see Draco Malfoy?"

"Luna, were the ree's telling you that an accident was going to happen? Could that accident have been Professor Trewlaneys death?" Etta asked, working on her idea that Trewlaney was drunk and had killed herself.
