The Midnight Haunting

Jace hadn't been sleeping much since his quidditch accident. Everyone had told him he should've gone to the Hospital Wing. He knew they were all completely right, but sometimes his pride got the best of him. It was about midnight when he finally began to drag himself to the Ravenclaw Common Room. He never got in trouble for being out late, because all of the prefects on watch either had a huge crush on him or they were the best of friends...Even Slytherins, to the dissapointment of many of his other friends. Jace had promised his parents that he would be kind and open to everybody at the school, and he was determined to keep that promise. As he was walked up the Grand Staircase, he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around, to greet the person, but was confused when he found the steps behind him desserted. "Hello?" he called out, now unsure if he should.

Thierry hummed softly to herself as she made her way towards her common room. There wasnt much for her to do late at night, but she also didnt want to stand around the common room with nothing to do. She made her way up the stairs when she heard someone say hello. Eyebrow raised, she peaked around the corner to see someone else up ahead. "OH...sorry..." She mumbled softly, wondering how he heard her from the other end of the hall. She just kept her head down as she walked by him, only to hear something herself. "Is there someoen else here too?" She asked her, glaring and turning around to look down the hall. When she saw nothing, she crossed her arms, mumbling under her breath.

Jace looked in surprise as a girl started to walk past him. "Er, hello. It's fine." he said quietly. "I just thought I hear-" he cut himself off as the girl stopped walking. The sound of the footsteps behind himself and the girl were still there. He turned around to see if the owner of the sounds echoing across the empty hallway would finally show themselves. As soon as he turned, it stopped mid-stride. He spun around to look the girl in the eyes. "Did you hear that too?" he asked in a low voice. He doubt that she would be able to hear him though. He looked at her and raised his brow. "Is this a prank? Henry told me he would get me back, but I never thought he'd bring other people in on it as well. Well, could you tell him that he's going to have to try harder than that?" he asked politely as he continued to walk past the girl.

Thierry looked up at him and then back down, pulling at her skirt. "Yes I heard it.." She mumbled, blowing at her blonde hair. She went to turn around when she heard more foot steps. When he mentioned a prank, she shrugged, biting her lip softly. "I guess it could-" until she was cut off. She glared a bit clearing her throat. "I have no idea who Henry is, but you can tell him yourself." She told him, grabbing his arm softly when he walked by. "In the mean time, I want to see what it is. And rather you help or not, that's up to you." She told him, letting him go and walking towards where she heard the noise from. She pulled her want out, holding it low by her side as she walked closer towards the place, that was, until she heard foot steps behind her this time. She turned around, wide eyed.

Jace looked after the girl in amazement. He'd never encountered such a free-spirit. It was a nice refresher to the boring company of the others that circulated around him since the start of the new term. "Some exploration?" he asked himself aloud. He pulled out his wand and followed after the girl. He caught up and leaned down to her to whisper. "I'm Jace by the way." he said softly past the blonde hair covering the girls ear. He whipped his head up as the steps continued, followeds by a loud banging. The hallway was dark, but if anyone besides the two were there, he would be able to see their sillohette at least. There was nothing. His brow furried in frustration.

Thierry heard the boy follow behind her, along with him talking. She nodded once, clearing her throat again. "Thierry." She said softly, turning her head some. She looked up when she heard the loud bang and gripped her wand tighter. She closed her eyes, letting her nervs calm some before sighing. "This is why I refused to come this year." She siad softly in one breath, letting her bag fall to the floor. Her penicls and notebooks went everywhere, but she didnt care. "Ok, Mr. Ghosty...come out and show yourself." She said, more to herself then to anyone else. She turned adn looked at Jace for a few seconds before looking back at the hall, shivering just a bit.

Jace moved so that he was standing side by side with the girl, who had just introduced herself as Thierry. She seemed extremely nervous, but he could tell that she was trying to be brave as she walked closer to where the noise had come from. He followed her, and cringed in pain as his ribs moved. He looked at the girl hoping that she hadn't noticed. "Henry, if this is you, you're in for a big surprise." he called into the darkness. He pulled his wand out, but did nothing. "It's not nice to pick on girls you know." he continued. He looked at Theirry and shrugged an apology.

Thierry looked up at him, pushing her hair behind her ears. She sniffled a bit, trying to keep from crying becuase she was scared. Not many people knew what she was, and she wanted to keep it that way. The more she acted human, the more she felt human. She looked back up at Jace for a few seconds before letting her hand drop some. "Maybe it's from the floor above us..?" She asked softly, still hearing the noise. She just gave up looking, walking towards her bag. She noticed a vial of blood had left her bag and she quickly grabbed it, stuffing it in her bag before he saw.

She let herself sit against the wall, pulling her bag into her lap also. "Jace...I doubt there is anything out there..." She mumbled softly, pulling at a string on her skirt.

Jace listened as Theirry spoke. He said nothing but nodded his head. He still wasn't sure what was going on. He started tracing the frames of portraits, looking for something...anything. It didn't matter what it was, as long as he stopped looking like an idiot. "It could be Peeves..." he offered slowly as he turned to look at the girl. She was picking her stuff up from the floor. He turned just as she shoved a small vial full of a crimson liquid into her bag. He turned quickly, as he figured he wasn't supposed to see whatever the vial contained. Jace continued to outling each portrait frame with his finger, as soon as he'd finished examing through that method, he began to rythmically knock on the hard stone.

"What are you doing?" Thierry asked, getting back up. She left her wand with her bag, walking behind Jace. She stood on her tip toes to look over his shoulder, but was still to short. She blamed her mother for being short. She blew at her bangs as she jumped up and down, trying to peer over his shoulder, but still couldnt do so. Finally, giving up, she ducked under his arm and looked at the wall. "There's nothing there..." She mumbled, looking up at him. She bit her lip softly before shaking her head. "I doubt it's peeves..." She mumbled, crossing her arms. She hated being short and hated being only 15. It made her feel dumb and to young to understand anytying.

Jace chuckled softly as the small girl pushed herself between himself and the wall. "How do you know that nothing is there?" he asked softly. "You never know until you've tried." he added as the corners of his lips turned upward into a slight smile. He lifted his arm so that it would pass above her head and continued knocking on the stone. "Your right about Peeves though. He would never put this much thought into a...well, he just doesn't really think." he said jokingly. He was about to give up when he fist finally hit a stone, resluting in a hollow sound. "Ahh." he mumbled more to himself than to Thierry. He pressed his hand against it and it gave away.

The portrait it was next to awoke. "It's about time somebody shut that thing up." he said in relief. as the rest of the wall began to spin and turn making a doorway.

Jace leaned his head inside to look around. There was a long hallway dimly lit by candles hovering in the air every fifteen feet or so. He turned and looked down at Thierry. "Do you want to go first, or shall I?" he asked happily. Nothing got him more excited than an adventure.

Thierry glared as he laughed at her. She crossed her arms, mumbling softly. She watched his hand raise some, knocking on the wall more. She was about to tell him to give up when he hit the wall and there was a hollow noise. Eyebrow raised, she turned some, looking down at the hallway. She sighed softly, moving back some to allow him to go ahead. She grabbed her wand and bag, and walked back to him.

"Go ahead...I'll follow behind you." She told him, grabbing the back of his shirt softly.. Her fingers tighten a bit as she waited for him to go, a bit scared. She thought of how funny it was that she, a vampire, was scared when really she had no need to be scared.

Jace tensed as he felt Thierry grab his shirt lightly in her palms. Hr hands felt like ice against his back. "Alright!" he said through a huge grin. "This should be fun." he said. He started to walk down the dark hallway. As the two of them walked past the first set of candles, they extinguished themselves. Jace sighed. "Great." he said sarcastically. The banging returned, echoing loudly in the narrow tunnel-like hall. He held his wand firmly in his hand. He could tell once again that the small girl behind him was scared. "So, what were you doing wondering around this late?" he asked, trying to get her to be less frightened. Although, he doubted she would calm down. What? With being in a dark passageway in the middle of the night with a guy she'd met just minutes before...

Thierry just kept her hands on his shirt, moving closer towards him everytime a candle went out. All the thoughts about her wand and she was safe left her mind as she pressed herself again the boy. She didnt even think about him, if anything, she thought of him as a wall and she was trying to get away from the darkness, but when he spoke, she flinched a bit, before letting his question go to head. "I was...doing something." She mumbled, not wanting to answer. She had been outside, in the woods with her blood donor. He had been asigned to her when she was first turned by her maker and he was more then willing. It also helped that he was about the same age as her so she didnt have to leave grounds to find him. "And you?" She asked softly, whimpering softly.

Jace sighed as he realized that the small girl shaking with fear didn't feel like sharing. "Well, that sure is explanitory." he said with a small smile. He shook his head slightly, but continued to talk. "I was just taking a midnight stroll around the grounds. I couldn-" he was cut off by the banging. It seemed to be getting louder as they continued down the small passage. "I couldn't sleep." he said loud enough for Thierry to hear. He took one more step and the light illuminating the dark hall faded, leaving the two in pitch black. He held his wand a bit higher and said, "Lumos". He waited for the wand to light up the walls around the two, but it never happened. "Lumos." he repeated himself in an aggrivated tone. "That's just lovely. Any ideas?" he asked angrily.

Thierry just nodded, finally letting go of his shirt as she wrapped her arms around herself. For some reason, she didnt believe he went for a midnight stroll, but who was she to judge. When the last of the lights went off, following by a loud bang, she tried to adjust her eyes to the darkness and smiled when he tried to make his wand work. Carefully, she let her hand go into his, shivering from how warm he was against her freezing cold hand and quietly pulled him along the rest of the path. "Dont worry...I can see...somewhat..." She whispered softly, blinking a bit before walking some more. She felt her fear fade away and she started humming softly.

Jace cringed as Thierry wrapped her cold hand around his. He knew that he'd been irregularly warm lately, but other people never felt that cold. "Are you alright?" he asked softly. "Your absolutely freezing." he continued, explaining why he had asked in the first place. He got really embarrassed as he realized that it might actually be him who was warm, and here he was trying to pin it on the small girl leading him down the hall. "How can you see in here at all?" he said just before the banging continued. As they got further into the darkness, there were small murmers all around them. He cocked his head to the side in confusion. Who would be up this late, besides us? And why would they be speaking loud enough for us to hear? he wondered to himself.

"I'm always cold..." She whispered softly, clearing ehr throat. She bit her lip as she pulled him closer towards her as the banging started again. There went the brave streak in her. "I'm...use to being in the dark..." She told him softly, bcking up some just until her back hit his chest. She didnt say anything, just kept moving but making sure he wasnt go far from her. She stopped when she got to a wall, only to hear a louder bang from the way they had just went. "Either the door was just shut...or we passed it...I would like the say I want it to be the last option." She told him, squeezing his hand softly to try and hide her fear.

A shiver ran down Jace's spine as the girl pushed herself onto his chest. It felt odd, but better than the normal sweltering temperature he was usually at. He could tell that she had gone scared again. He bent his head down a little and whispered into her ear. "It's going to be fine." he lifted his head back up. "Promise." he added on quickly with a smile. As the girl began to talk again, he could hear her voice shaking. "Hmm. I'm not really sure." he said as he shivered once more. "Do you hear people talking?" he asked slowly. She's going to think your crazy if you keep speaking your mind. he thought to himself. There was a loud bang in the wall next to them. Jace automatically reached his hand out towards the wall, but nothing had changed.

Thierry swallowed the lump in her throat when he whispered in her ear everything was going to be ok. She hoped it would be. She didnt know what would happen if someone came out and tried to hurt them. She closed her eyes for a few seconds, trying to let her mind connect to anything but his, but she felt her mind connect to his when he asked if she heard voices also. She went to say something when the thought she is going to think you are crazy went threw her mind and she shook her head. "I dont hear anything..." She mumbled as another loud bang sounded. She saw his hand go out and she grabbed his arm, pulling it down to his side.

"That wont do anything." She told him softly, moving her hand quickly and thanking God she couldnt blush because she knew she wouuld have turned red from doing something she normally wouldnt have done before. "Maybe we shouuld just go. Maybe it something from up stairs." She said once more.

Jace sighed when he realized that she hadn't heard the voices. Right, so basically it is official. I am going crazy. he thought to himself. As Thierry continued, he sighed once more, but this time it was in defeat. "Alright then, lets go." he said, sounding a bit dissapointed. He turned, but didn't start walking until Thierry decided to move. He wasn't going to give up to that easily. The air around them had gotten really cold, but it felt like a fan on his burning skin. It got even worse as she pulled his arm down. He looked over his shoulder and down at where he thought Thierry was. He said nothing, but raised an eyebrow.

"Come on then." She said, looking at the ground as another thought went threw his head. "You arent crazy." She said lowly under her breath, knowing he couldnt hear that she said it. She grabbed his hand, pulling him back towards the entrance way when she tripped, landing on the ground with a small 'hmph.' After a few seconds, she carefully pulled herself up, brushing her skirt down as she looked at what she tripped over. "I think I just tripped over my own feet..." she said, looking up at him confused and then back down, eyebrows raised. She blinked a couple of times as she looked at the ground, but saw nothing there. She could have sworn there was something, or someone there just a few seconds ago. She stuck her foot out, but there was nothing but air.

Jace looked at the girl in shock as the words she spoke practically read his mind. She had spoken very softly, so he figured that he wasn't intended to hear her. He tried not to comment, but he couldn't help himself. "How would you know if I'm crazy or not?" he said as politely as possible. However, he felt a sting linger on the last few words. He looked down and raised and eyebrow as Thierry fell to the floor in front of him. He held out his hand as an offer to help her up, but when she pulled herself to her feet, he pulled his hand away, hoping she hadn't noticed. "You alright?" he asked softly. He tousled his dirty blonde hair so that it looked messy, and kept his hand on top of his head.

Thierry bit her lip. So he had heard her. How? She would never know. She licked her lips a few times before turning back to him. "Because if you were crazy, then I'm not...it's sorta hard to explain." She said softly, turning to look at him as he made his hair messier then it already was. She smiled a bit, him most likely not able to it from the darkness, but she didnt care. "Come on...maybe I just tripped over my own feet." She told him softly as she took his hand again, trying not to let the warmth of him bother her. But she couldnt stop the shiver that went down her back everytime she touched him. She knew it was because she wasnt use to being around someone who was warm and had blood flowing through them, except her donor.

Jace didn't understand what the girl meant about him being crazy. He didn't want to seem nosy, but he wanted to know. "Care to try and explain?" he asked, trying not to sound as interested as he really was. He let his hand drop to his side. "Trip over your own feet?" he asked. "Is that even possible?" he continued. He'd never seen anyone but a total clutz do it, and Thierry hadn't come off as clumsy at all. As she grabbed his hand, he felt like it was about to go numb. Why do I have to be so freaking hot all the time? he asked himself angrily, before he realized that he said it aloud. He shut his eyes and bit his lip hoping that Thierry hadn't heard.

"No I dont really want to explain." Thierry told him, licking her lips nervously. She cleared her throat once more before hearing what he said go, once again, threw her mind. "You arent hot..." She said, until she realized how it must of sounded. "I mean..your cute, but...I meant like...temperature hot. I'm just really cold is all." She told him, stuttering over herself. She decided it was time to hush as she walked to where she swore the door was. "How come when you ask it to be the second optoin, it always ends up being the first one?" She asked herself, mumbling a bit under her breath as she tried to find the same stone Jace had found ealier.

Jace held back a laugh, but couldn't manage not to shake. "Wow, it is kind of cold." he sighed as he tried to fake the shaking of laughter to be a shiver from the cold. "Um, thanks. I think?" he said, trying not to be rude. "Why are you so cold?" he asked, before he could stop himself. He walked to her side and moved his hand around the stone wall before them. It wasn't long before he found a hollow knock repeating back to them through the tunnel. He pushed on the stone, and a loud bang came from behind. He spun around on his heel, before he realized that he still couldn't see. He could hear the stones moving to create a doorway behind him, but he could tell that whatever was making the loud noises was getting closer. He reached back and grabbed Thierry's hand. "A little help? Can you see anything?" he asked in a hurried tone.

Thierry said nothing as he laughed, only smiling softly at him. She waited until he found the hollow knock stone before answering him. "Cold blooded?" She asked him, not sure of what to say. She saw him turned around, not sure of why until she heard the banging noise again, only closer then it was before. When he grabbed her hand, she shivered softly, but said nothing when he asked for help. She tried to see if she could see anyting, but nothing seemed to be out there. "I see nothing, Jace. Maybe they are...invisible?" She asked him quietly, knowing it was a stupid thing to say, but she wasnt going to think of anything else because she was to scared to even think of anything else. She only hoped it wasnt a werewolf, because then she was out of luck.

Jace tried his hardest to focus through the darkness. He tilted his head as Thierry suggest that whatever....whoever was making the banging noises could be invisible. "Well, now your just making fun of me." he said quietly. He didn't turn back around towards the entrance as it began to dimly light the few feet in front of them. Instead, he closed his eyes and concentrated on the sounds. After each loud bang, there was a sound like something scurrying. I hope its not a werewolf... he heard Thierry say loudly. Jace's eyes flew open and he looked down at the small girl next to him. "Why do you say that?" he asked softly. He didn't know why she had said it so loudly.

Thierry looked at him and then back down. "I'm not making fun of you.." She said softly, feeling tears build in her eyes. She swallowed back the next reply she was going say and cleared ehr throat once more. "Why am I making fun of you? There is nothing there." She tried to tell him until he asked her why does she say that. "Why do you mean? There's nothing there!" She yelled softly at him, crossing her arms like a stubborn child until she realized what he meant. "I...werewolves....arent welcomed upon...my..." She started before she swallowed back her fear. "My kind..." She mumbled, pulling at her skirt softly. "Why do you-HEY WATCH WHAT YOU ARE DOING!" She yelled, kicking her leg out as she felt something grab her.

Jace took a step back. "Invisible people?" he said quickly as he began to turn around. He could tell that Thierry was starting to get irritated. What she had said about Werewolves though, got his mind swimming in millions of possibilities. "Are you trying...Do you mean..You're a vampire?" he managed to gasp. He suddenly understood why she was so cold, but it wasn't exactly compatible with the scaredy-cat act she must've been putting on. No vampire was ever that scared of...well, anything. As Thierry began screaming, Jace spun around and blew his fist down to the ground as hard as he could. He was surprised when the stone floor crumbled beneath his knuckles. It hadn't even hurt. "What just happened?" he asked as he looked towards Thierry.

Thierry's eyes widen as he hit the floor and it shattered. "I could ask you the same thing..." She whispered softly, lifting her eyes from the floor to his. "What did you do...?" She asked him, backing up some until she hit the wall. Her thoughts were racing, but she didnt know what to think. She avioded his earlier question, not planning on answering it anytime soon. She kicked her leg out softly, making sure whatever that had been on her wasnt there anymore as another shiver went down her spine. "Jace...are you not telling me something?" She asked him softly, her eyes narrowed in suspesion just a bit. She rubbed her hands a bit, to put on the I'm normal and human thing she had been trying to keep up since she started.

Jace looked at her in shock. "I...What...How did I do that?!" he asked himself aloud. He looked from Thierry to the floor and back to the girl in front of him. She looked absolutely terrified of him all of the sudden. He looked to the ground and kicked a piece of the rubble to move a little. "Maybe, the floor was just a bit brittle?" he started going through many possibilities both in his head and out loud. His eyes were glued to the spot on the floor where the stone had broken up and rippled like water. He said nothing, but he bit his lip as he slowly moved his head up to face Thierry. "Maybe we should just leave..." he offered after moments of silence as he reached out to grab the girls hand.

Thierry moved away when he went to grab her hand. "No..." She said, shaking her head. With a soft glare, she grabbed him by the arms and pushed him against the wall that was oppisite her. "You are hiding something, Jace..." She hissed softly, allowing her fangs to shift and show him what she meant. "Now either tell me...or they will find you at the bottom of the lake..." She told him, tighten her grip, which wasnt much because she wasnt as strong. She took an unneed breath, shaking just a bit. She had only seen two people able to breka something that wasnt breakable to humans. And they had became her lunch when she was able to hurt them. "You have four seconds to answer me, Jace." She told him harshly.

Jave looked down at the small girl in front of him. "I honestly don't know how I did that!" he yelled angrily. He didn't understand what she was talking about. He gasped as Thierry tilted her head. She was exposing her teeth, which glimmering in the dim light of the hallway. He tried to pry his arms free from her gasp, but had no luck other than moving her fingers a few inches. He was greatly surprised on how strong the small girl proved to be. He had said everything so fast that he repeated himself slower. He could feel sweat growing on the palm of his hands. He hadn't been this nervous for years. "Will you explain to me why your asking me these questions?" he asked quietly.

Thierry glared, shaking just a bit. "Jace, you are a werewolf arent you?" She asked him, wanting badly to tighten her grip once more. She allowed herself to calm down before leaning into him, letting her lips go to his ear. "You better tell me the truth before I bite you, Jace." She said softly in his ear, loosening her grip. She licked her lips, breathing softly against his neck. "I have been nice, seeing as anyone else would have been dead. Now...are you a werewolf...or are you something else?" She asked him, moving her hands from his arms to his chest, pushing him softly against the wall once more. She moved to step on her tip toes, still feeling the warmth of him raidate to her. She shivered once more, waiting for her answer.

Jace struggled under Thierry's tight grip. As she leaned up and whispered in his ear, he was instantly relieved, but still anrgy at her accusations. "I DON' KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!" he bellowed at her. He pushed past her and started walking towards his common room. His ears were ringing and he couldn't hear anything besides quiet murmurs. He could feel his blood burning in frustration, but he didn't care. As he got closer to the spiraling staircase that lead to his dormitory, he changed his mind and statrted to walk towards the castle doors. He didn't feel like explaining why he was so angry to anybody and he certainly wasn't tired, so there was no point in going up. As he walked outside, he instantly felt his skin burning more than it had already been.

Thierry glared when she was pushed away and followed him quietly, making sure he didnt see or hear her. When he got to the common room, she wondered how come she had never seen him in there before, but didnt care to much as she walked back out and headed outside. Perfect. Right into whatever she could do. She closed her mind, letting hers connect to his. 'How come I know you are lying?' she asked him in his mind, keeping hidden behind some bushes. 'No one would get mad unless the other person was catching on.' She said in his mind again, shaking a bit from anger. She hated being lied to and she knew she was being lied to, rather he knew he was doing it or not. There was just something about him that couldnt just say human to her.

Jace practically jumped out of his skin as he heard Thierry's small voice all around him. He continued to slowly walk to the lake. He heard something move behind a few bushes, but he figured that it was just a few first years snogging. Really? Man, these voices keep getting louder everyday. he though to himself. As he heard her voice once again, he automatically responded, without a thought. 'What do you want Thierry? I already told you I don't have the foggiest of what your talking about. Your a step away from harrassment... And as for being mad, it's because you and everyone else at this school keep accusing me of the exact same thing. Not that you should be one to judge even if I was, seeing as your a vampire! he thought angrily. He just kept going on and on in his head. It's not like she could actually hear him or anything.

Thierry glared again, pulling herself away from the bush. She stepped out, wandin her hand. "Look, Jace, I dont care you know I'm a vampire, but you do realize I could bite you and get away with it right? I have my rights, you have yours. And my rights are that whatever walks around the forest, near the forest, or into the forest is mine. Anything that is near the lake on the north, is mine. If you travel near those, I can attack and get away with it. You arent suppose to be in the forest or even near it. And quit with your silly thoughts. You are a werewolf, I can prove it." She told him, walking towards him with a hurt, but determined face. She grabbed his hand softly, feeling the warmth of him agian. "You are hotter then the normal human, you are tannish, and you are strong. That's should hint it to you. I bet you could even ask your parents." She told him, sighing. She started thinking about why she wasnt even killing him yet, but she shook the thought away.

As the girl walked up to him and grabbed his hand, Jace ripped it free of her grasp. He thought about what she had said about her boundaries. "Fine then, if thats what you want to think. However the rest of the school's population is still sane. Goodnight Thierry. It was nice meeting you." he said politely before running back towards the castle doors. He didn't want to be around anyone, living or not. He didn't know where to go, but he would figure it out eventually. Her words were running through his head. It was like a disc on repeat.

"You are hotter then the normal human...Well, that one is easy enough to explain. I must be sick or something. Running a fever. Totally normal stuff. 'You are tannish..' Even easier than the last one. I spent the summer in Hawaii. It's hard to not get tan there. The strength? Quidditch of course. he thought to himself, triying to make logical explanations for every single one of the symptoms she'd accused him of. "Werewolf." he laughed to himself as he pushed the huge doors open with great ease. He looked behind himself to see if the vampire was following him, but dhe was nowhere in sight.

Thierry just stood there, playing with the ends of her skirt once more. SHe was staring at the ground, trying not to let her feelings of rejection and deniel get to her. She sniffled softly, pushing a hand threw her hair, looking up as he ran back into the school. After a few minutes, she made her way up to the school quietly, keeping quiet so she didnt make him turn around and hurt her. Now that her anger was gone, she was scared again. She found herself in the common room a few seconds later, but she didnt look around to see if Jace was there as she sat down on one of the chairs. What was the point of going to bed? She didnt even sleep, it was almost useless if anyone asked her.

Jace gave up on trying to find somewhere he could be alone as he found himself next to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. There was no way he was going in there. She was the only ghost that had ever actually freaked him out. His ears were ringing louder than before. He couldn't even hear himself think. He started to make his way up to the common room. As he got to the eagle knocker, he shook his head to hear the question once more. As he answered, the door swung open to reveal Thierry sitting in a large plush chair. He said nothing as he glared at her and sat at a table on the oppisite side of the room. He pulled a book over to himself, pretending to read.

Thierry looked up as the door open and she saw Jace. She was about to say something when he glared at her and she turned her head from him, looking back into the fire with a soft sigh. "Jace...you cant ignore me...ask your family about it." She told him softly, not looking at him. She could feel her fear of him coming back to her as she stood up, walking to where to he was. "Cant you except that? You are what you are, wheater you know it or not. But I bet all the blood in my body you are a werewolf." She told him, sitting on the arm of the chair he was in. "Why are you denying it? Are you trying to deny what you are?" She asked him softly, moving to fall on his lap to keep him from moving like she knew he was planning to. "I weigh more then you, you cant push me off you, so dont even try." She told him harshly.

Jace looked up from his book as the girl began talking to him. "You don't know a thing about me, so stop trying." he said loudly. He tensed up and squeezed his hands tighter into fist with each step she took closer to him. "If you did, you would be able to know that I'm adopted." he added on. He laughed grimly as Thierry talked. "Blood?" he scoughed. "What blood? Your dead!" he hissed angrily into her ear as she sat on his lap. A shiver lingered down his spine as her touch froze him. "I don't know what the bloody hell you are talking about, so could you please just leave me alone?" he pleaded as politely as he could. He tried to not let his anger seep through his words.

Thierry swallowed back the fear she had when he started yelling. "Will you hush. You are going to wake the school." she hissed softly, turning to straddle his legs. "Now...if you are adopted, then it makes this alot more easy. Just...please...let me help you." She said softly, taking ahold of his hands. She smiled when he said there was no blood in her body, and she bit her wrist softly, allowing blood to flow down her wrist. "You can drink that if you like...makes humans feel better...or...you...I got it!" she said, eyes bright. "Just...taste it...it should make werewolves stronger and...and feel so much better and...makes them meanier. Almost abusive towards one another." She said, but then looked confused. "Ok...maybe not...I do like my head..." She mumbled more to herself before looking at her blood flow down her arm.

With one quick movement of his neck, Jace looked around the empty common room. "Wake the whole school up you say? Well, I don't see anybody down here..." he said loudly. He bit his lip softly and glared up at Thierry. "And I certainly wish that there was one less person in here at the moment." he added bitterly. At the touch of her hands on his leg, his whole body began to burn fiercely. He cringed from the pain, but only slightly. "Will. You. Stop. Touching. Me." he said through his teeth, taking a deep breathe between each word. As the girl on his lap bent down and bit her wrist, Jace's face was darkened with disgust. "You are crazy!" he scoughed once more as she insisted on him drink her blood.

Thierry looked hurt again and sighed, licking her wrist to heal the wound. "Do you have fun hurting my feelings? Yes, I'm dead...but I do have some feeling, you know?" She told him softly, looking down at his lap. She flinched everytime he yelled at her and felt tears weld in her eyes as he basically called her crazy. She wasnt crazy, she was only telling the truth. "I'm sorry for touching you...I...I didnt know I was." She whispered softly, swallowing back her tears. "I..I just wanted to help." She said as her voice cracked. She felt herself choke on tears as she shook her head, grabbing his hand again. "Please...just stop acting like that towards me. I'm a good person...I just want to help..." She told him, her bottom lip trembling slightly.

Jace took in a deep breathe and sighed heavily. He knew that she was telling the truth, and that he was treating her fairly. His whole body began to quiver with frustration and anger. For the first time, he looked into Thierry's eyes. She looked hurt and scared. "Listen..." he started off softly. "I'm sorry for being disrespectful. I've just been a big bundle of nerves lately." he continued. "I just...I..." he said in a whisper. He couldn't bring the words to roll off of his tongue. How hard could it be? He shrugged his shoulders and looked down to his hands as he began twirling his fingers slowly.

Thierry just sta there, listening to him as she tried to blink her tears away. She watched him twirl his fingers together and she sniffled softly. "That was really mean how you were treating me and all I wanted to do was help you." She whispered softly before finally standing up. She wiped at her eyes before walking back to the chair she had been in just a few minutes ago. She pulled her bag to her, pulling out a book her sire had given her about their history. She flipped threw the pages carefully. Just skimming threw the pages. There wasnt much in there she didnt already know, but she stopped at one of her favorite chapters and started reading from there. "Go on, go to bed like you know you want to. Or hurt me even more. Doesnt matter to me anymore." She whispered softly.
