| Everyone has their opinion about what’s the best part to a theme park. Maybe it’s the roller coasters or just meeting the park’s mascot but whatever it is it’s probably the first thing you do. Now’s your chance to say what you think will be your favorite part of the new Harry Potter Theme Park. Will it be the many stores and restaurants? Maybe you’re the kind of person who likes the rides. Will the castle be the first stop you make? Whichever it is say below what your favorite part of the theme park will be and why but while you’re at it try to get others to agree with you.
There will be three groups to debate about and they will be the shops/restaurants, the castle or the rides so pick one and start the debate.
Points will awarded according to the quality of each one's arguments.

| Hmmmm interesting topic. I'll say a few thing then! I know for a fact the rides are going to be good because both the Flight of the Hippogriff and the Dragon Challenge are previously existing rides that have just been transformed to fit in with Harry Potter. The Hippogriff Ride is now what used to be a small but thrilling kids ride called the Flying Unicorn. The Dragon ride is currently under constuction and is the same ride as the famous Dueling Dragons. If you've never been on that, your really missing out! There are two different tracks, both of which interact with the other to make it look like you are going to crash or bump right into the other coster! I can't go on this ride more than three times in a day, because it is rough and can give me back pains and a headache. That's the biggest downside. I'm super exited about the comming of Hogwarts to. If you haven't seen the finished version, take a look . I find this structure breathtaking. It's tall and lumerous and resembals our beautiful castle in a glorious way. From my understanding, it's more for looks than actual interactment. You can go inside for sure, but only certain things are open. For example, you can explore the Gryffindore common room, but none of the others. So I wish they could add more but I do understand that that would be very hard (and they are working their arses off to finish this in time, believe me). Now, Hogsmeade. I AM SO SYCHED! I think this is going to be my favorite part. Why? Nearly every one of the mentioned shops is open to the public! And if you've seen the plan paintings for them, they all look absalutly incredible! Now I have somewhere to go to blow all that money I've been saving! A place to buy any Harry Potter merchendise I wish! Oh, the very thought warms my heart. And since I am fortunate enough to live in the Orlando area, I can go and hang out in the shops or have a drink at the Three Broomsticks whenever I'm in the mood! So I is very hard for me to choose, but I'm going to take the side of the shops! | |

| Debate time!! :D I'm so against your stand Rose. The Castle! That is the best part of the Theme Park. Point #1: All Theme Parks have rides, they just differ in designs. Point #2: All Theme Parks have shops, they just differ in names. Point #3: What completes the HP Theme Park? The castle, right! You have said that not all parts of the castle will be open to public but if not because of "Hogwarts" itself, either it be on the book or the Theme Park, shops and rides will be less magical or even less appealing to all of us. On most RPG sites what is most used from the books? Isn't it "THE Castle"? And just to be able to stand/step into what every HP fan loves is a big thing. The magical shops were in fact just minor places used in the books, just like any other shops in real world. Plus what? After you buy this and that will it make you a witch or a wizard? Let's say you bought a wand at "Ollivander's", when you get home will you start to be able to perform magic? I don't think so. You will rather just pretend that it's working. So, what makes that different to what we are already doing all these years? I'll tell you, you're now holding a thing that you bought on a store whereas you can ask somebody to make you something alike without any fee. The same case with dresses/robes/shirts/hats or food or whatever there may be. My main point here is, between material things that withers at the end of the day versus memories that never fades, it is clear that most memories worth to be treasured by a HP fan will be acquired in and through the castle. | |

| I think the shops are going to be the best attraction at the theme park. There's just so many of them that you can walk into and explore. You'll feel like Harry Potter as you walk through the isles and isles of magical items wondering what each and every thing does. Not only do you get to look at them but you can also buy items in each shop and take them home. I know the rides you can't really take much with you back from the theme park, maybe a shirt with the picture of the ride on it or something but it's not the same thing as taking a chocolate frog with you or Bertie Bott's every flavored bean. You'll get to not only see but also experience what it would be like to be a magical folk in the world of Harry Potter. What can be more exciting than that?
Yes like Sashi said you can buy these items but they don't make you any more of a witch or wizard by just owing them. However going through the stores and looking at the items in each will be a better memory than going through Hogwarts. You can walk through the store and try to imgaine how Harry felt walking into the very same store for the first time. There's so many unknowns and you just want to buy everything there just to try them all out. However with the castle you already know what's going to be in there by reading the book and also by watching the movies. The 'magical' items being sold at the stores, some of them you might not be mentioned in the book and you can experience it for youself. Now if Hogwarts castle had lessons you could take than I would most certainly pick the castle but all you can do is walk through and look at things. I can look at the same thing in the movies or picture it in my mind's eye when reading the book.
As you can see the store is teh best part of the park
