2010 Winter Olympics - Vancouver

I love the Winter Olympics more than any other sport event. And I am an Apollo Ohno and Shaun White fanatic <3

Anyone else obsessivly watching the Olympics this year? What do you think, and who are you pulling for?

I think I prefer Winter Olympics, too... probably because Finland has more chances of winning xD That would be... ice hockey, and maybe skijumping, normal skiing... depends really.

ANYWAY!

I got a bit mad when Harri Olli (a Finnish skijumper) got disqualified because of his jumpsuit (or whatever it's called xD) had something wrong, and he had to change it, and then it was too big, or whatever, and when he finally got to jump, he jumped really bad.

Oh well.

I felt bad for the Koreans in speed skating when all three of them had the lead and then on knocked into the other, causing them to wipe out. BUT Apolo won silver so insert fangirl scream HERE XD

I haven't really seen Finland do anything yet. I'll try to catch them in action

I kinda gave up on Finland after that Harri Olli-incident - so now I'm rooting for ice hockey, which I really hope they will do good in xD

I'm really upset with the partner skating right now. The only pair I've seen fall (both of them) and do an over all bad job is currently silver. One of the judges was Russian, so I'm betting she convinced the other to give them more points because they where from Russia. That just upsets me. =( They did so bad! (all this will probably have changed soon though)

... okay, so it wasn't a surprise, really, I mean, it was MY team and all xD

Anyway.

Right now, ONE of my favourite players (... okay, my FIRST favourite icehockey player I had since I was five, or whatever) has 36 points, and he's sharing it with three other guys, so he needs like ONE point more xD

Atleast, I mean.

Anyway, on Saturday morning (7am Finnish time) Finland is up against Germany... oh HA! We're totally kicking they're butts :D

This is also when I turn into Evil Caro :D ... and when we eventually play against USA - just stay out of my way; I will argue, challenge, and insult any American xD

... I do that anyway, but especially then xD

Philippines didn't join, maybe because we're a tropical country and have no winter?o.O
But whatever, because of that I'm rooting for all Asian countries. xD

Oh, I remember watching the news saying that one ice skater is half-Filipino. They have this girl's family interviewed and all about their kin participating the event. Well, I found it uber unnecessary, you see her Filipino families are like "Oh, we're all very proud of her as she represents Philippines and bringing pride to our country." I mean, what the hell are they talking about? She's representing USA not Philippines! Like, duh?? Don't they watch tv?

But other than that. I enjoyed watching the speed skating and free-style one with partners and all. lol I forgot the exact name of the event. xD But yeah, that's it.

Dude, I snowboard myself, but I don't watch it :D

So I don't care xD

I only watch... well, icehockey, and skiijumping, which got annoying after one incident, so... just icehockey now :D

How can you not want to watch snowboarding? It's AWESOME! I'm going to Colarodo in a week and I'm going to atempt to learn how to do it =P

Well, we have great skaters and other players for other categories as far as I know, but unfortunately the government never pay much attention on our athletes. So, maybe that could be one of the reasons as to why we didn't took part with this year's Olympics. I dunno.

Yay, the women's icehockey team for Finland won bronze - but still, I must say, that the way women play icehockey is just hilarious. It's awkward. It's clumsy. It's almost painful to watch xD

It's like a hippo trying to dance ballet.

I swear to Buddha I wasn't that awkward and out of place when I played ice hockey. And I've seen myself on tape MANY times.

Ahh, my brain hurts - it was just too painful watching the game... even if Finland got bronze xD

Now all I can do is cheer on the men - my real dream team that can skate perfectly well xD

The shock is... too much. I've never seen Finland play so badly. AND AGAINST USA!!!!! I have no choice to kill myself, since I promised I would xD Anyway, comment the game on your own risk - I WILL be mean and all comments will be according to my current mood, which is... well, let's just say that it makes Hitler seem like an angel.
