Welcome to the maze, Katie!

You find yourself at the beginning of a huge maze composed of gigantic green hedges. Using your knowledge of spells, especially Charms, you must find a way out of this maze. Numerous obstacles will be presented to you and they need to be passed in order for you to move on through the maze. Tall leafy walls rise up on both sides of you. The sun shines brightly and there's nothing in sight... at the moment. Step into the maze and begin this adventure. Remember to role-play your actions, show your knowledge of spells and charms, and to be creative. Your first obstacle will follow your first post. There will be ten total challenges for you to complete before you're done.

Katie stood nervously in front of the towering figure of the maze as the sun beat down on her. While she loved mazes, she wasn't quite sure how she felt about one where you had to fight your way past obstacles in order to get through it.

"Well, waiting around won't do anything but make you more nervous," she scolded herself as she walked up towards a pretty white gate that was the entrance. She gave the gate a little push, and when nothing happened she took out her wand.

"Alohomora," she whispered, pointing her wand at the gate, which swung open in front of her. Taking a deep breath, Katie stepped into the maze, walking slowly forward, peering around carefully to make sure there were no obstacles in her path yet.

With a click that seemed strangely muffled here in the maze, the gate shut behind Katie, cause her to jump in fright.

Laughing at herself, Katie looked up at the clear skies; surely that must be a sign of good luck!

She continued down the maze carefully, with her wand drawn at the ready for the first obstacle.
