| Wow..so err, I just realized I seem to post new threads in here a lot (=/) but I've just heard they changed Snape's death in the movie from how it happened in the book. I'm not happy. xD I thought the way he died in the book showed a lot about Voldemort's completely uncaring behavior towards everyone and though it was sad, loved everything about it. Apparently they changed it to be more "dramatic". - Andrew Ackland-Snow wrote:
- We wanted to change a bit where Snape dies. In the book, he dies on the Shrieking Shack, and we wanted to get him out from, not a conventional interior, but from that kind of box, to do it in a more dramatic atmosphere. We asked J.K. if she agreed for that to happen in there, because we hadn't really seen it before. We made a crystal house, and you can see what happens in the boat house from there - Are you listening Harry? -, but also the school is in flames...and she loved it. Besides, it's a very romantic place to die. Snape dies in a extremely good way, I gotta say."
You may remember set designer Stuart Craig commented on Snape's death scene last February, commenting: "The last time I cried was a few days ago when we filmed the death of Alan Rickman's character, Snape. It's quite difficult to cry in rushes -- where we watch the previous day's work -- but he is an extraordinary actor and he dies an extremely good death. Merg. Well, maybe I'm just being a grump about this but I hope it does turn out to be good. Though I'm sure Alan Rickman could make just about anything good. xDD

| I'm actually happy about this...when I read it on Perez, I thought...GREAT SNAPE ISNT GONNA DIE.
But I kept reading and felt it would be better...I mean, if JK loves it, then it must be good.

| I'm gonne be torn until I see if. If JK loves it then it has to be good. However they did change it so I'm not gonna be happy about it. Like Vi said at first I thought that he wasn't going to die and now I found out that he will still be dying. XD | |

| Yeah, I'm hoping that because JK liked it, it has to be decent. But still...I WANT HIM TO DIE IN THE SHRIEKING SHACK. | |

| Hmm. I don't - I mean - O_O
Ehhhh.
I kinda really thing that the shrieking shack is already dramatic - and significant (didn't Snape almost die trying to get INTO the shack looking for Remus?) but the movie's gotta do what it's gotta do... perhaps.
