Movie #2: Suggestion Thread

I'm not sure if we can suggest more then one, but I'm putting up two.

Title: A Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Thai Movie)
Synopsis:
Nam is a dark-skinned girl who has this huge crush over the campus' heartthrob, Shone/Chon. Nam's too much into him that she treasures everything she gets from him though from what one could obviously see, it means nothing to the guy. With her dark-skin and not so pretty features, Nam worked on beautifying herself, tried to get in to the Dance Club, participate in the Drama Club and excel in class just so Shone notices her. Though, she does it all without direct statement of what she feels for him.


Title: Home Run (Chinese Movie)
Synopsis:
Kun is a son to a poor couple with a younger sister. The story flows around a lost pair of shoes that Kun's sister owns, that brought problems over problems come into the siblings with its absence. For this pair of shoes they both get into a lot of troubles. Things got a little bit harder when some of Kun's friends turned their backs at him, and tried to antagonize him.

I'll go with the theme and suggest 2 as well!

#1: Stardust
Synoposis: The tiny English village of Wall has a secret. Through a gap in the town's old stone wall lies the kingdom of Stormhold, a magical realm of spells, unicorns and witches. One day a boy named Tristan Thorn makes a bet with Victoria, the girl of his dreams, that he can bring her back a falling star that lands beyond the wall. So he journeys through the gap into the wall and into the other world, determined to bring back the fallen star in seven days and win Victoria's hand in marriage. To his surprise, the star in question is not a lump of rock but a plucky celestial princess named Yvaine, who is not at all pleased to be knocked out of the sky and subsequently kidnapped. And a fallen star, it seems, is quite a commodity in Stormhold. Soon Tristan and Yvaine are running from flying pirates, warring princes, and three wicked witches who want to cut Yvaine's heart out of her chest and eat it in order to restore their eternal youth. To win the bet, Tristan will have to hold his own in a dangerous game of swords and sorcery - but this new world has more surprises in store than he could ever have imagined...
Why: I love this movie, great cast, great story, great universe, great soundtrack. It has a lot of points to discuss.

#2: Tangled
Synopsis: After receiving the healing powers from a magical flower, the baby Princess Rapunzel is kidnapped from the palace in the middle of the night by Mother Gothel. Mother Gothel knows that the flower's magical powers are now growing within the golden hair of Rapunzel, and to stay young, she must lock Rapunzel in her hidden tower. Rapunzel is now a teenager and her hair has grown to a length of 70-feet. The beautiful Rapunzel has been in the tower her entire life, and she is curious of the outside world. One day, the bandit Flynn Ryder scales the tower and is taken captive by Rapunzel. Rapunzel strikes a deal with the charming thief to act as her guide to travel to the place where the floating lights come from that she has seen every year on her birthday. Rapunzel is about to have the most exciting and magnificent journey of her life.
Why: it's new and it's Disney and I think it'd be great to watch because people always have something to say about new Disney films.

Title: Spirited Away
Synopsis: In the middle of her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches, and monsters; where humans are changed into animals; and a bathhouse for these creatures.

Why: It's a beautiful film with an amazing plot line and even better characters. Plus the detailing to the backgrounds are lovely (:
