Movie # 2 Suggestion thread

I am suggesting the following movie as I have heard rreat ratings of it and would love to see it.

wicked Michelle Pfeiffer, wants to capture Yvaine to cut out her heart
and gain eternal youth, while the three remaining sons of the recently
deceased king (Peter O'Toole) compete with one another to find the gem
Yvaine wears around her neck. With special effects that never outshine
the performances and a sweet story peppered with hints of Gaiman's dark
sensibility, STARDUST is a truly enchanting fairy tale.

The movie is based on Nicholas Sparks' wonderful novel, which I personally think is just brilliant! This romantic chick-flick makes everyone cry. It's a beautiful story of two people that fall in love, and nothing could ever sepparate them...

My Take: We just watched this in english. It spins a baurtiful tale about a daring Jew who fals in love with theprim and proper schoolteacher. They grow up, marry, and have a son, Joshua. Untill one day, when Guido and Joshua are taken by nazis. When Dora voluentarily gets on the train to the concentration camps, ready to face the same fate her husband and son are, things start to get reeally interesting. It gives a historicial look on the Holocaust and one mans struggle to survive. There are no bloddy scenes, but there is one part taht shows the men and children undressing for the "showers" No nudity, and it is just really sad. I loved it.

If you rent it in your language thats fine, but I found the subtitles easy to follow too.
