In the subject of Muggle music I must say they outshine us Wizards by a mile. Their singers are both awesome and highly accomplished. To prove my views I am going to introduce you to Kelly Clarkson. Born in April 24, 19812, this American singer rose to fame when became the very first American Idol winner back in 2002.

American Idol

Encouraged by her friends to sign up for the smash hit TV show she reached the final without ever being in the bottom three and in the end won with 58% of the votes. Throughout the season we saw singing many different such as “I Say a Little Payer”, “(You Make Feel Like) A Natural Woman”, “Walk On By” and her final triumph winner song “A Moment Like this” which became a #1 hit in the United States.

Thankful

Her first released album Thankful become a relative commercial success, reaching number #1 and holding some hit singles such as “Miss Independent” which got her a Grammy Award nomination (this really fancy music award show where if you win you’re considered a class act artists, silly things Muggles do).

Breakaway

Clarkson’s most successful album, Breakaway, despite not reaching #1, was released on 2004 and it span the smash hit singles “Since U Been Gone”, “Breakaway”, “Behind These Hazel Eyes” and “Because of You”. Kelly finally won a Grammy award for “Since U Been Gone” among several other awards.

My December

It was released and since it had a darker tone to previous albums it was not such a commercial success despite owning beautiful songs such as “Sober” and “Haunted”.

All I Ever Wanted/Stronger/Present Date

Her two following albums were moderate success but established Clarkson as credible, stable artist, cable of going from pop, R&B, blues to country. Kelly is currently promoting a greatest hits album.

Owner of a beautiful and powerful soprano voice with both versatility and technical skills delivery. Her influences are Aretha Frankling Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Despite being such a mainstream start Clarkson maintains a low profile personal life.
