Personally, I think that it would be great if we were to post more about the ongoing HP Franchise! Especially with HP & the Cursed Child and Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them coming our way. Whether it be on the Hogwarts Experience site, or on one of its social media outlets. Even though the story we know and love is "over", doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to keep up to date with upcoming projects from J.K.!

What was HE's best event?

Come on now, while there have been many great HE events in the history of our site, one really stands above the rest. The best event took place during a highly active time in HE history and it was the Family Fortunes event. This event was the best for several reasons.

Number one, it was a team event. Team events allow bonds to form more easily among members. Better, the teams were chosen by the members themselves with threads to help people find teams if they wanted to participate and didn't know who to ask. It was also one of the few events where house competition didn't need to be a thing. Teams were allowed to be comprised of people from different houses or the same house. It was all about who you wanted to work with and that was awesome.

Number two, it was an event you could participate in as much or as little as you wanted. Joining a team didn't come with any strict obligations. As long as there were at least two people posting in your team, you were golden, so if you had activities that kept you away from a round you weren't kicked out. Likewise, the event didn't have any time bonuses, meaning that no matter where you lived you didn't have to adjust to take part for maximum points. Moreover, the rounds ran long enough that you had plenty of time to add in answers and try for those points.

Number three, it was an event that was fun for spectators to watch. In some events the fun comes just for the competitors. Finding riddles, doing word searches and completely competitions is nice and such but if you're on the outside looking in, it can lack excitement. The Family Fortunes event was based on the popular television show Family Feud (Fortunes in the UK) which people enjoy watching because it's fun to see if you get the same answers that the team comes up with and if you'd get the ones that they missed. Even once teams were eliminated from the competition, they wanted to keep up and see how they'd have fared in the next round.

Finally, there was room for individual achievement. While the teams were important and fun, you could also earn points by doing well alone, which helped make it an event everyone wanted to do well in. You weren't just competing for the glory of the people around you, but you were competing against others to see just who could get the most correct answers. In that way, it had the best of both worlds in terms of personal and group competition.

All in all, events like HEBB, The Quadwizard Tournament, and School's Out were fun, but they could never hold a candle to the epicness that was Family Fortunes. If you want to see success in event form, look back into the Filing Cabinet and follow Family Fortunes from the beginning, you'll easily find what made it so special.

I believe that we should stick with HP as our main focus, especially with new movies and material coming out in the coming months, keeping our HP hearts beating.

That is not to say that some new material would not be unwelcome while we are wasting away - as long as our world does not become too cluttered with other fandoms vying for our attention.

But in saying that, I am also open to hearing what other people think about other fandoms that I am interested in. The world is always creating new and exciting opportunities for us to let loose our inner fans. If they were ever hidden away.

As long as we stay true to our HP roots, I do not mind a little mix.
