Subject: [QUIDDITCH]: Ravenclaw – Game 1 Tue Apr 12 2016, 15:45

Scenario

The first game of the season! You can feel the electricity in the air. Spring is upon us, the weather is mild with the occasional showers and the wind is not blowing too strong. Perfect to kick-start the craziness that is soon to be unleashed.

The crowd begins to fill the stands as 14 enchanted dummies specially ordered by the HeadMaster take place in the air, 7 on each side of the field. You can see that each dummy supports a letter in their chest. ‘P’ for “Professional Level”, ‘S’ for “Student Level” and ‘A’ for “Amateur Level”.

For this game, skills were randomly sorted and the dummies for Chasers support “Ss”, Beaters support “As”, Keepers support “Ps” and Seekers support “As”.

Who will show up to take the place of the dummies? Who can guess the outcome?

Instructions

- Remember to always add your position in the beginning of the post.

- Once you enter the field and announce your position the corresponding dummy will disappear. You DO NOT take the skill level of the dummy. Skill levels have been assigned to the dummies so you know how hard is to beat the opposing dummy or how helpful the dummy on you side will be. Your skills are your own and will be shown by your posts.

- You can only make 1 post per day up to a maximum of 30 in total and a minimum of 4 posts in total.

- Remember the skill levels of each dummy and RPG according to it, you’ll be judged on it.

Individual Scores

You’ll be judged on the following aspects:

Number of posts – 30 pts*

Creativity – 50 pts

Skill shown/Manoeuvres – 50 pts

Knowledge of the game – 50 pts

Cooperation with the dummies/Facing the opposing dummies – 50 pts

Team work (only valid if other members show up to play with you) – 10 pts+

Spelling/Grammar – 10 pts

*If you make 30 posts but there are mostly one paragraphs you will not get the full marks

+If you want to increase the chances of your House winning, call others to play and benefit from these points

Total possible: 250 pts

House Score

The House score will be the average score of every member.

House Points

Your House Points for the game will be your score points multiplied by 10 for a possible 2500 HP per game.

Deadline

The game will end on the 12^th of March or if someone catches the Snitch earlier than that.

Chaser

Stephy walked out onto the field clad in her old ravenclaw quidditch robes. It had been a long time since she put on those robes but she was excited to get back into the game. Stephy had been waiting for years for Quidditch to come back and now after all that waiting she was finally back in the game.

Her hair was tied back to keep it from obscuring her vision as she flew around in the air and in her hand she held the newest broom they had on the market, made just for Quidditch. Everything else Stephy had on was from her old Quidditch days but her old broom was very outdated. When she received the mail that a match was about to take place the first thing Stephy did was go out and buy a broom.

Now she was back on the field and ready to win Ravenclaw another match. She mounted her broom and kicked off from the ground, looking at her opponents she saw 14 people, but as she flew closer she realized they were animated dummies. Another thing Stephy noticed that as she took to the sky one of the dummies vanished leaving only 13.

"Whoa, Rai got some fancy dummies here" Stephy said as she flew up to one and waved her hand in front of it's face. the dummy was faceless, like the ones you seen in the store sporting some fancy clothing but Stephy knew they were anything but harmless.

Stephy flew a few rings around the pitch getting the feel for the sport again. Soon there would be the Quaffle and soon she would be fighting others for the red ball. This was a match she wasn't going to go easy on, even if her opponents looked like they could easily be pushed off of their broom.

Once Stephy was done making a few loops she resumed her position at the middle of the field and waited for more to join and for the game to start.

Seeker

Rigby walked into the locker room, and was surprised at how both familiar and both alien the room managed to be at the same time. She could almost see the ghosts of Ravenclaw players past, sitting on the benches, hunched over Lily's notebook of Quidditch moves, planning their team moves and going over the strengths and weaknesses of the teams they were playing.

She made her way to her locker, where her broom and robes awaited. Cobwebs and dust clung to them, so whipping out her wand she whispered *scourgify*, and soon everything was shiny and almost new looking. Well, except the bristles of her broom that had been burned off by Etta's fireball spell. Even on fire, Rigby had managed to catch the snitch that game.

Good times.

Now dressed, she mounted her broom, flying low out of the locker room and down the tunnel. She saw Stephy already on the pitch, mumbling something about Raisty being a fancy dummy.

"Stephy!" Rigby shouted, zooming towards her Ravenclaw teammate.

"I should have known you'd be the first one out!" she told Stephy, clapping her on the back with one hand and maintaining her balance, but only just. She'd have to seriously focus if she wanted to stay on her broom and catch the snitch today.

Looking around, she could see magical dummy quidditch players, one who had been playing her spot flew off the field now that she had joined. Oh, so Stephy probably hadn't been calling Raisty a fancy dummy after all. Probably.

Remembering the rules Raisty had set, Rigby was relieved to see that the dummy Seeker was set A for amateur as were the Beaters. Rigby blew out a breath she didn't even know she'd been holding. Maybe she could get through this game without a concussion!

Chaser

As Stephy was waving her hand in front of the dummy's face Rigby came onto the field. Stephy's face lit up, glad that she would be playing with at least one of her old Quidditch teammates. Stephy flew over to the Ravenclaw Seeker and embraced her in a hug almost toppling the two off of their brooms. Stephy regain her balance and quickly made sure Rigby got hers.

"You send me a note saying there's a Quidditch match and I'll show up three weeks before the thing starts." Stephy chuckled. Just then a referee came onto the field carrying the chest that held all of the balls. Butterflies filled Stephy's stomach, she knew the game was about to start any moment now. She looked across the field at her opponents, the Seeker and Beaters both had "A"s on their chests. Rigby should have no issues finding the snitch before the dummy did and as for the Beater's Stephy didn't think they'd be much of an issue. Their aim would probably be terrible and they probably couldn't hit the Bludgers as hard crippling their targets.

The Chasers and the Keepers were another story, the Chasers were marked as "S" and the Keepers was marked as "P". The Keeper would be the main challenge in this game but the Chasers weren't that harmless either. Stephy was a little rusty but she was certain her and her Ravenclaw team could beat these dummies.

"We got this Rigby!" Stephy exclaimed as she tightened her gloves and gripped her broom. She was ready to grab the Quaffle before any of the dummies did. The referee released the balls and Stephy made a beeline straight for the red ball, just as she reached out her arms to grab the ball something slammed into her side pushing her out of reach.

"Darn you dummy!" Stephy exclaimed as she redirected her broom to the one dummy and chased right after it. Her teammate dummies were flying next to her trying to do the very same as her. Stephy narrowed in on the dummy with the Quaffle and zoomed her broom in front of the Chaser and slowed down causing the dummy Chaser to turn to the side where it ran into Stephy's teammate Chaser. The teammate dummy knocked the Quaffle from it's opponents hands and changed the direction down to the other side of the pitch. Stephy zoomed up behind her fellow Chaser trying to zig zag in front of the opposing players, she wasn't going to let them take the Quaffle that easily. However one of the opposing Chasers dashed in front of her causing Stephy to zig off to the side leaving her teammate vulnerable to the opposing players. Stephy gritted her teeth and let out a "Grrr" as she redirected her broom and flatten herself against it to gain speed, ahead of her the opposing Chaser that got in her way was after her teammate who had the Quaffle.

Within seconds Stephy was up next to the Chaser who got in her way and using her momentum she slammed herself into the dummy's side knocking him away from the Chaser with the Quaffle. Her teammate finally made it to the other side of the pitch and made an aim for the goal posts however the Keeper dummy was able to knock it away by hitting the ball with their broom towards one of it's teammate Chasers.

"This isn't going to be easy" Stephy muttered as she zoomed down the pitch along side her dummy teammates trying to regain the Quaffle under their control. She was determined to make the first goal of the game be the goal for her team. In the end it would probably be the team that caught the snitch would be the winning team.

Unfortunately neither of the players reached the minimum 4 posts count which means Ravenclaw loses by default.

Players will still be marked but instead of a possible 250 score they'll only be able to reach a maximum of 113 pts.

Unfortunately there was not much to judge from the introductory post only. A few marks fro creativity.

You were on a right track but unfortunately didn't develop more.
