| Scenario The seventh and final game of the season! A dome has been enchanted over the pitch making sure that there isn't even the slightest breeze. The crowd begins to fill the stands as 14 enchanted dummies specially ordered by the HeadMaster take place in the air, 7 on each side of the field. You can see that each dummy supports a letter in their chest. ‘P’ for “Professional Level”, ‘S’ for “Student Level” and ‘A’ for “Amateur Level”. For this game, skills were randomly sorted and the dummies for Chasers support “Ps”, Beaters support “Ps”, Keepers support “Ps” and Seekers support “Ps”. Who will show up to take the place of the dummies? Who can guess the outcome? *** Instructions - Remember to always add your position in the beginning of the post. - Once you enter the field and announce your position the corresponding dummy will disappear. You DO NOT take the skill level of the dummy. Skill levels have been assigned to the dummies so you know how hard is to beat the opposing dummy or how helpful the dummy on you side will be. Your skills are your own and will be shown by your posts. - You can only make 1 post per day up to a maximum of 30 in total and a minimum of 4 posts in total. - Remember the skill levels of each dummy and RPG according to it, you’ll be judged on it. Individual Scores You’ll be judged on the following aspects: Number of posts – 30 pts* Creativity – 50 pts Skill shown/Manoeuvres – 50 pts Knowledge of the game – 50 pts Cooperation with the dummies/Facing the opposing dummies – 50 pts Team work (only valid if other members show up to play with you) – 10 pts+ Spelling/Grammar – 10 pts *If you make 30 posts but there are mostly one paragraphs you will not get the full marks +If you want to increase the chances of your House winning, call others to play and benefit from these points Total possible: 250 pts House Score The House score will be the average score of every member. House Points Your House Points for the game will be your score points multiplied by 10 for a possible 2500 HP per game. Deadline The game will end on the 19th of February or if someone catches the Snitch earlier than that. | |

| HUFFLEPUFF CHASER 14.2.17 AEST Katie stepped out onto the field, butterflies in her stomach. Here it was, the last game of the season. Katie couldn't believe how quickly time flew by. It felt like just yesterday she was stepping onto the Quidditch Pitch for her first ever real game. Who would've thought she'd be here today! While Katie was definitely way more confident in her skills than at the start of the year, the very prospect of this game was intimidating. Though she couldn't see it, she knew that she was within an enchanted dome that ensured not even the slightest breeze of unforseen weather condition could affect gameplay. That in itself was frightening enough. Never before had Katie been able to play purely based off of her own skill and nothing else. Before there was always some advantage she could use, or some disadvantage she could blame for her mistakes. Not this time. This time the conditions ensured everyone had an equal chance of claiming victory. Perhaps even more intimidating than the weather was the other players. Katie didn't need to look up at their robes to know how difficult they'd be today. Sure enough, when she did glance up, Katie saw "P"s shining everywhere above her. This was the exact reason she'd decided to stick to Chaser for this final game. While Katie had now practiced all the positions, and even played each one in a real game, she still felt most comfortable in the Chaser position. Katie knew she'd have no chance against a professional seeker, and no hope for blocking more than a few goals from professional chasers. As proven by the only game she'd played as a beater, she could slow, but not ultimately stop, the other players. However, Katie was fairly confident she could keep up with the other chasers. Katie took a few deep breaths. No need to be nervous. You've proved you can play Quidditch. No matter what the outcome, at least you've improved throughout the year, Katie thought to herself, trying to pretend to herself she didn't care if they won or lost. It didn't work. Katie could see Madam Hooch beckoning her, ready to start. Katie nodded and hopped on her broom, kicking off into the air. The whistle blew, and fourteen brooms shot off. Katie was taken aback by the speed of the game. She knew it was going to be fast-paced, she just didn't realize quiet how fast-paced. One of the Hufflepuff chasers had already fought for the Quaffle, lost it, and successfully regained it before Katie even had time to pick where on the field she should be. The bludgers were already crisscrossing across the field, causing the chasers to duck and weave wherever they went. One of the bludgers would have hit Katie square on if it wasn't for one of the Hufflepuff beaters sweeping in at the last minute to redirect it. Katie was close on the tail end of her fellow Chasers broomsticks. An opposing chaser was approaching her teammate head on. "Behind you!" Katie called, letting the chaser know she was open. The dummy waited until the oncoming chaser was a bit closer before tossing the Quaffle back to Katie, who caught it squarely across her chest. The Hufflepuff chaser was now blocking the enemy dummy from getting close to Katie. Clutching the Quaffle close to herself and heart beating fast, Katie continued on to the goalpost, determination clear across her face. | |

| HUFFLEPUFF CHASER 16.2.17 AEST Katie ducked as a bludger passed right where her head was a split second ago. She was breathing heavily, and her heart was pounding as she clutched the Quaffle tight to her chest. She heard the crack of bat against bludger as a Hufflepuff beater knocked it back towards the enemy chasers in pursuit of her. Katie leaned into her broom, egging it on to go faster, and use the time the opposing dummies were distracted to get a head start. She could see her fellow chasers circling her, ensuring that they would be open even if the chasers did come. And come they did. In what felt like mere seconds, the enemy chasers were there, two of them trying to block any of her passing routes, while the last one began harassing her, nudging her, but not enough to be called for a foul. Katie looked around desperately for an opening, and saw one of her chasers shoot to the left and up. Quickly, Katie tossed the Quaffle straight in the air. The enemy chaser broke away from her and shot up after it, but was too slow for the Hufflepuff chaser dummy, who had already snatched it away. Katie quickly sped off after the group again. She couldn't fall behind or her fellow chasers would be outnumbered. She could see one of the enemy chasers swerving around to try to cut her off. Katie faked like she was going to go up and dived down, but the dummy was too smart to be fooled, and dived with her. Luckily, one of her beater teammates was paying attention, and smacked a bludger at the dummy, forcing it to retreat. Katie sped on, zig-zagging to find an opening. Still underneath the fray, Katie crept up from below, and pulled up hard, appearing next to the friendly chaser, who passed her the Quaffle, and veered off sideways, knocked into the enemy chaser that had been harassing it. They had reached the scoring zone. Katie swerved hard to the right, and once the keeper moved, quickly banked back centre, tossing the Quaffle as hard and fast as she could. The Quaffle soared forward, reaching the goalpost, it was going to go in! The keepers hand suddenly appeared, just barely nudging the Quaffle with the tips of its wooden fingers. The Quaffle hit the rim of the goalpost, and, instead of going in, bounced down towards the ground. Katie heard the groans of the Hufflepuffs watching the game, but didn't have time to be disappointed or angry as she kept her head in the game and chased back after the Quaffle. | |
