NEWS ON HARRY POTTER THE 7TH BOOK 2 Characters will Die!!

Hey guys, guess what, JK Has confirmed that TWO characters ARE going to die Here is what she wrote ~~

LONDON (June 26) - Author J.K. Rowling said two characters will die in the last installment of her boy wizard series, and she hinted Harry Potter might not survive either.
JK says ~

"I have never been tempted to kill him off before the final because I've always planned seven books, and I want to finish on seven books," Rowling said Monday on TV here.


"I can completely understand, however, the mentality of an author who thinks, `Well, I'm gonna kill them off because that means there can be no non-author-written sequels. So it will end with me, and after I'm dead and gone they won't be able to bring back the character'."


Rowling declined to commit herself about Harry, saying she doesn't want to receive hate mail.


"The last book is not finished. But I'm well into it now. I wrote the final chapter in something like 1990, so I've known exactly how the series is going to end," she said.


Some characters might die, but the blockbuster movie franchise lives on. Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that the fifth installment will be released in U.S. theaters, including Imax screens, on July 13, 2007.


In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," directed by David Yates, the teenage Harry continues to battle the evil Lord Voldemort (again played by Ralph Fiennes ) and his followers. Daniel Radcliffe is returning as the title character, and Emma Watson and Rupert Grint reprise their roles as Hermione and Ron. Oscar-nominated actress Imelda Staunton plays the malicious, frumpy Professor Dolores Umbridge, who tortures Harry.


In her Monday interview on the "Richard and Judy" show, Rowling said people are sometimes shocked to hear that she wrote the end of book seven before she had a publisher for the first book in the series.


"The final chapter is hidden away, although it's now changed very slightly. One character got a reprieve. But I have to say two die that I didn't intend to die," she said. "A price has to be paid. We are dealing with pure evil here. They don't target extras do they? They go for the main characters. Well, I do."


Rowling is the richest woman in Britain - wealthier than even the queen - with a fortune estimated by Forbes magazine last year at more than $1 billion.


Whatever she writes next, Rowling is sure of one thing: It won't be as successful as Harry Potter.


"I don't think I'm ever going to have anything like Harry again. You just get one like Harry."[/bold]

This was a good interview, although I wish they'd picked people OTHER than silly little kids who haven't even read the books to ask her questions!

There was one point where I thought she may have slipped on the Harry will he die/won't he die thing...Richard or Judy said something about writing Harry Potter books in the future, and JKR said something along the lines of:

"Like, Harry Potter and the Midlife Crisis..."

She then covered herself by saying, "If he survives of course."

So was this a slip?

I also thought it was weird how Richard and Judy asked neither of the big questions everyone wants answered: What will the title be, and when will it be released.

Perhaps they had been told to not ask those questions?

Even though there was a lack of information pertaining to book 7, I enjoyed the interview, JKR seems like a really nice, down-to-earth person, and this was very much evident when she was talking about her wealth.

If you didn't watch it when it was on Richard and Judy, I'd recommend downloading it from TLC or MN and watching it, it was a good interview.

Wooooooot, without Harry there's no Hedwig!!!!!! WOOOHOHOHOHOOOO!!!!!!! But then again, there's no Hedwig's cage, AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! Okay, i'm not gonna panic.. ^^

Just because she says it will "end with her" doesn't necessarily mean that Harry will die. It can only truly end with her if she kills off all the characters-and thats a BIT too much.

I think that what she means is she'll I dunno, get some legal documentation "forbidding it" or whatever...

At least that's what I like to think. ^.^

I bed she does kill Harry of - that would stop people taking on sequels to her book! arrrgggh - kill ron not harry !!!

I'm part of a 'let Harry live' site, where you can only post fics where Harry doesn't die. If Harry dies then......I dunno what i'd do!!

Two charectors, two of the major charectors, book 7 will be a bloodbath so let me thnk. After for interview in NYC i have a feeling JKR is just teasing us all. I mean when asked who she'd invite to dinner she said Harry so she could apologise. Why should she apologise if she wasnt going to kill him? Gah kill him, leave no stone unturned, if Harry is dead, then she cant write anymore books. I found when writing a long fic, that i have to kill my main charector otherwise i'd have sequels coming out of my ears.

I dont think Ron and Hermy will die, i think they'll get hurt badly but not die. We know Lupin wont die at the hands well hand of wormtail, but i think wormy will be important in the final battle with his silver hand, i am thinking along the lines of Greyback. I think squirmy wormy will kill him to save Harry or Lupin.
Snapeypoo will kill Harry in order to destroy the last horcrux (if he is one im still not sure) before killing Voldielocks himself. *SNAPE IS GOOD!!!!!!!*

Voldie and Harry will both pop their clogs along with Narcissa Malfoy, Bellatrix Lestrange, Tonks, old woman longbottom, Charlie Weasley and i think um, Mr Lovegood.

There. Blood bath. Im guessing if Narcissa Malfoy was to be killed *im next to marry Lucius* it would be a death we dont see but hear about. Like at the start of HBP we are told about 2 charectors we have met being dead. So, i think thats what will happen. The Prophet will report on the body of Narcissa being found blah blah blah.

I really cant see Harry dying! I think Snape and Voldemort will be the two, though I do wonder about Ron - but if the story is going to go as many do, I think the trio will be the last characters before the end - they started out together and will end the books together and alive!

I think Draco will die, possibly at the hands of another Death Eater or Voldemort. Lucius may, too. But they're not exactly main characters, are they? So my money's on Harry. My wonderful theory for the storyline of Book 7 is that Potter will die in the very first chapter (and I will try to contain my excitement...lol) and the rest of the book will be about how Ron, Hermione and Ginny try to rid the world from evil and "avenge his death". Why would they want to, though? He's been treating them like dirt for the past two years, all because he believes that he's some kind of Golden Boy - I'm with Fudge and Snape on this, incase you haven't noticed - and only he can save wizardkind. What about Neville??

I have to agree. I think she might kill off Ron. It seems an obvious choce, but when is JK ever obvious?? lol

I would died Harry was killed. and I really don't think she has an intetnion of killing Hermione. The witch is just too smart, ya know?

Hmm...Draco is a big possibility too.

Well the thing is she has said in another interview, that she has made a reprieve and another charector has died that she didn't intend to kill. (I don't know if this is somewhere else on the site but...)

It would have to be pretty minor charectors that she changed the fate of. Let's face it, if has made Harry die, that would have been planned a really long time ago, so it wouldn't ne him. Same with Voldy, Hermoine, Ron, Draco, and Snape. (possibly Ginny and Bella)

The same goes with the repreive. Same charectors. She would know. She has the ending all planned out and killing a major charector would mess everything up.

To be honest, I'm kind of surprised that there's only two going... *cough* But that's just me

I really think Harry's going to be kicking the bucket... I mean honestly, the last chapter is a wrap-up for all of the characters... if Harry survives, how is JK going to fit the rest of his life, plus the lives of all of the other characters, into one chapter? It's too much.

And I think Draco will be dying... I mean, I like him and all, but the Death Eaters aren't very happy with him...

In JKR's words, book seven will be a 'bloodbath'. So I think we can safely assume more than two will die.

I've read a theory somewhere (maybe even here!) that since 7 is such a huge number in the books, maybe seven people will die.

I think it will be Hermione because. JKR is never obvious. No one thinks that she will die, i also think that Draco might die, the death eaters like hate him!

I think Ron will die trying to save Ginny. As much i don't want to see that happen I think it will

Draco is NOT going to die! he's going to work for the dark side, but not actually be evil because deep down he knows he will always support Dumbledore. He will not kill in the war, might possibly help the trio in the war (aka save hermione's life and XD) and run off to america, meet a beautiful witch who goes by the nickname Lifey, will fall desperatly in love, marry her, and have 5 kids with her. XD and that ladies and gents is book 7.

i think that haryy and voldemort will die or wormtail will die to save harry's life (b/c harry saved in his life) and then harry will get his chance to kill voldemort.

imagine if fred died and not george that would be horrible

it would be the other one would take it really bad b/c they are afterall very close to one another

i read on j.ks site somewhere that she will not kill Ron

i hope not if ron died and harry survied harry will go into shock or something and think it was his fault like how tonks felt about black
