PAIRS DANCE 7: Just Ginny and Candy (Hufflepuff)

::The tolling of the H.E. school bell could be heard, and slowly the lights flicker on to reveal an empty classroom. Empty, that is, except for two girls dressed dressed in the colors of the house of Hufflepuff. One had red hair, one had black-they were, of course, Ginny and Candy.

Ginny looked down at the paper on her desk, bored. She was waiting for the music to start, and even though she and Candy were in pretend “detention” the whole feel of it still creeped her out and bored her at the same time. Finally, after counting eight seconds, a slow smile began to creep across the red head’s face. Slowly, her brown eyes raised from her paper to meet Candy’s. The Hufflepuff girl nodded, and at the same time, they both used the arm closer to the center of the stage to sweep their paper work off the desks. Then, Ginny jumped up out of her chair and to the right, and Candy did the same, only to the left.

There outfits, opposed to the stuffier Hogwarts robes, were trendy and stylish. Both wore yellow boots and jeans, although Ginny's were tannish. Candy's flame orange blouse contrasted nicely with Ginny's midriff baring black tank top. Ginny tossed her head playfully at the audience, a small smile on her face::

I ain’t have no daddy around when I was growing up (huh)
::Candy and Ginny both did six step-taps towards the center of the stage, by taking the leg closest to center stage and stepping it out slightly to the center of the stage, and then bringing their other leg to join it. When both legs met, the outer-stage leg tapped slightly. Candy felt extremely nervous, feeling as if she were going to fall. At “huh” they both posed, Ginny had her right arm raised and her left hand was placed lightly on her hip. Candy had bent her knees slightly, and put both of her hands on her thighs. She sighed in relief::

That’s why I’m wild and I don’t give a (huh)
::Ginny and Candy then did four tap-steps, the opposite of step-taps. Using the leg closer to the outside of the stage, they tapped the floor lightly, and then used the center-stage leg to move towards each other. At “huh” they posed again. Ginny put her left hand on her forehead, and her right hand across her chest. Candy had her right hand on her shoulder and her left around her waist.::

Y’all think cuz these jeans fit, I would give it up
::Candy and Ginny began doing two triple-steps, which are tap-steps combined. At “up” they both thrust their hips forward and then immediately cross their arms over their chest, as if protecting themselves.::

Don’t let my cute face fool ya
::The duo walked forward four steps, and then jumped up on the chair they were next to. They snapped their fingers on “ya” and their outfits immediately changed. Candy smirked.::

I ain’t have no daddy around when I was growing up (huh)
::Ginny and Candy did three ball changes. They performed this by using the ball of their outer feet for one beat and then a strong weight change to the other foot for the next beat. At “huh” they once again posed with her right hand across her stomach and her left hand poised on her hip. Candy extended her left leg outward slightly, turned sideways, and put her right hand behind her head.::

That’s why I’m wild and I don’t give a (huh)
::Candy and Ginny then began moving their chests forward, back to a center point, and then back in two chest isolations. Once again at “huh” they posed. Ginny put her left foot behind her right and, with her arms bent at the elbows, held her hands palms up slightly away from her. Candy swung her right hip outward, and crossed her left arm across her stomach, and held her right arm just below her chin, as if blowing a kiss::

::They slid their hands down their jeans, and then slid them back up again. Then, together they did small foot swivels to the center part of the stage. However, they stayed on top of their chairs.::

Don’t let my cute face fool ya
::In unison they jumped in the air and spun in the direction of the outer part of the stage. When they landed, they landed on top of the desk in front of them. At “ya” they tossed their head to the center stage, and once again, their outfits transformed::

Been through so much in my life
::Candy and Ginny twisted to the center part of the stage, going to the edge of their desks, but not quite over. They did however, lean to the center stage-the audience gasped as they were sure that the two girls would fall.::

Seen things in my life
::Just as the two Hufflepuffs were about to fall, they sprung up and did a three step turn to the other side of the desk. Once again they leaned, and leaned, only to the outside of the stage. Once more it appeared as though they would fall and all would be lost.::

That I’d never thought I’d make it through
::The next move was a combo that started out like a normal step tap. But instead, the move continued into a three step that had a twist-turn in the middle. Through all of this, their feet were doing foot swivels on top of the desks.::

Had a few close calls in my life
::Ginny and Candy began moving their bodies to the beat. They coaster stepped to the outer part of the stage, isolated their shoulders back and forth. When their feet met at the end of the coaster step, the effect was similar to a tap-step. Their hands slid up and down their legs when they isolated their shoulders.::

That could’ve ended my life
::The duo did a lucky-dice roll. Which they performed by taking small steps forward and waving their hands and arms in front of them like a small wave.::

But I’m here looking at you
::Ginny and Candy jumped in the air, and landed with both feet planted firmly on the desk.::

Never thought that I’d be here
::They jumped again, only had their legs stretched out in a half split, and landed that way. Together they planted their hands on their thighs and did shoulder and chest isolations.::

I’m the type that don’t give a d*** about the rules
::Ginny kicked her right leg to the right, and Candy did the same with her left leg to the left. Their bodies didn’t turn sideways, but faced the audience, and when they kicked their legs their foot nearly went up to their shoulders.::

I was forced to survive on the streets
::When they placed their foot back down on the desk, they slid their right foot behind their left, and then swung their right leg behind their left.::

Make my own way to eat
::Ginny and Candy turned to face each other and slouched slightly, swaying their hips as the returned to normal posture::

[i]Gotta do what I gotta do (best believe)::
::The duo spun to the back and at “best believe” they did yet another pose. Ginny slid her hands in her pockets and glanced over her shoulder. Smirking, she puckered her lips and blew the people in the crowd a small kiss. Candy crossed her arms over her chest and looked over at the audience and winked. ::

I know plenty of girls like me
::Candy and Ginny inclined their bodies to center stage. Their feet moved in a step-tap, but their bodies were doing chest and shoulder isolations to the beat.::

That done been through h*** just like me
::They foot-swiveled to the outer part of the desk. But the beginning and ends of the swivels were tap-steps.::

Keep what your mama teach ya
::The duo did a triple step spin. When the spin ended the put their hands on their head and for the beats of “teach ya” they swung their hips right and then left.::

Don’t let cheat or deceit defeat ya (Girlfriend)
::Candy and Ginny walked in circles around their desk. Every third step they twisted. At “girlfriend” their twist ended in a pose. Candy put her left hand on her hip and gracefully extended her right arm upwards. Her hip popped slightly out to the left. Ginny extended her right arm behind her slightly, and extended her left to the audience. Her hip was popped slightly out to the right::

And all my kick a** girls like me
::Ginny and Candy did a ball change. At “like me” they spun rapidly into a three step turn. Ginny felt excited, ecstatic, as the turn whipped her hair around her face. ::

That ain’t never afraid to speak
::They began doing head and shoulder isolations, each one getting more and more dramatic. At speak, however, they froze. Ginny felt her heart pounding in her chest, and it seemed to be synchronized with the beat. It was as if she, the song, and the dance were all going in perfect unison-were a part of each other.::
Next time that they try to treat ya
::The duo foot swiveled to the edge of the desk closest to center stage. The red head kept her eyes on the audience, but in her mind’s eye she was making sure her feet stuck to the steps. Foot swivels had given her a lot of problems in rehearsals, and she wanted to make sure this dance was perfect.::

Like you a freak cuz you street and look good
::Ginny and Candy spun around, and ran their hands down their torsos. While they ran their hands down their bodies, their hips were swinging back and forth, seductively. ((I HAD TO SAY IT XD)) Ginny smirked and winked at the audience as she moved::

Tell them
::Together they spun around as fast as they could.::
