PAIRS DANCE 9: jennifer williams and Eirbear (Hufflepuff)

::The stage was once again dark with a single spotlight on the center of the stage. Suddenly slow salsa music started to fill the room as the stage started to move. The crowd gasped as the stage started to twirl in a circle on its own as two figures started to emerge from the ground in the center of the spotlight. Jen and Erin (Eirbear) was frozen in their positions on the revolving stage. They were back to back as their heads faced down. Erin knelt in position with one hand holding the mask on her face and the other pointed toward the left while Jen was standing with an identical mask and her hand pointed toward the enchanted ceiling. The wind howled as the slow music started to die down to silence. The stage stopped spinning with Erin facing the audience. Their eyes twinkled behind their yellow and black masks.::

::The music quickly started up quicker and the pair started to move in action. Erin swung her hand up toward the top as Jen swept her hand back down and grabbed her partner’s hand. With an elegant twist, Jen pulled Erin up as she twisted underneath their arms to face the audience with Erin. Together with their hands lightly touching, they did a smooth front and back step toward the audience. This included two front steps with a twist of their knee and one back step with a slight slide of their foot. Wrapping their left leg in the opposite direction, they quickly turned to each other as they continued the basic front and back steps in coordination. Jen did the front step while Erin did the back step then switch. All the while their hips reflexively move in beat with the music.::

::Erin was, of course, nervous again as the dance started. But then, as the moves got more elaborate, she forgot her nerves. After all, the group dance had gone fine. Why wouldn't this one?::


My outfit!

Jen grasped Erin's hand and together they did the whiplash. This consisted of snapping your left leg in the back with your heel off the ground and your right toe faced forward. They them spayed their arms back and they leaned backwards balancing only on their toes. Turning on their toes, they faced the audience once more with a variation on their moves. Performing the crossover swirves, they held each others hand up while their feet did quick steps in the opposite direction. This caused the audience to appreciate their fancyfootwork and well as watch the swishing of their skirts. Slowly moving away, Jen and Erin's hands still touched as their arms slowly started to come down. With a slight flick, Jen "pushed" Erin in the opposite direction with her right palm and they twirled to face each other once again. They performed the Front basic and approached each other slowly with their arms about.::

::Jen suddenly did a high kick in the middle of the dance as Erin knelt down and leaned back as her partner kicked over her head. She then gave Jen a slight nudge causing Jen to spin a 360, still in her high kick, and slide smoothly into a split onto the floor. Erin then stood behind Jen, lifted her mask, and gave the audience a slow wink. Grabbing Jen’s two hands in the air, she lifted Jen back to her feet into a spin. Watching her partner twirl across the stage, she held onto the hem of her skirt and did a sort of flick to cause the golden threads to glitter.::

::The upbeat salsa music gradually slowed down to a ballet like tune. Jen spun across the dance floor in a variation of both feet on the ground like a ballerina and one leg in the air as she did a series of perfect pirouettes. Glancing across the stage at her partner, Jen concentrated on perfecting their next move. They both leaped toward the front center of the stage once more and took a deep breath. AS the music started up again, Erin did a leap/cartwheel with her hands on Jen’s. Jen lightly pushed upward and Erin did a somersault in the air as she bounced up. Thanks to the Lighweight Potion Erin had drunk earlier, she gracefully landed back on her feet.::
