Festival Dance 5: Ravenclaw: Folk Dance Festival

Speaker: Folk dances are performed in many festivals all around the world, all similar yet with many different qualities.

Our first part of our festival dance will cover the folk dance below:

OPLENAC : Serbian Cultural Association, Mississauga (Canada)

For almost two decades, members of "Oplenac" have joined together to celebrate Serbian culture. In turn, they are left with wonderful memories and lifelong friendships.


Our costumes for the first part of this dance:

(Well, I think they're sexy. : ) Just kidding.)

Elana, keeping her body straight as a rod, stepped onto the stage as the music began to play. She worked hard to keep a smile off her face, and turned her eyes to her partner Kitkat, who had come up with the idea of doing an Oplenac dance.
