HE Castle Challenge

Hogwarts-A visual Companion.
(Your eyes and ears!)

You are standing in front of two wide iron bolted, wooden plated wrought doors. They swing open widely and please! Step out of the way! You step inside the doors in awe (I’m guessing, but I’m just a book) There’s a long purple carpet running across the open, marble entrance hall that leads up the large staircase.
The ceiling is very high and looks like a blackhole, glittering at you from above. Once in the middle of the entrance hall you follow one of the purple carpet paths to wide wooden doors on your right hand side. They automatically open and once inside you are breathless in wonderment (I felt your breath on my pages, no fingerprints!)
You are inside a long hall, with four table laden in purple tablecloths and there is a hippo statue at the head of the hall.
There are dancing badgers on the Hufflepuff table and on the Slytherin table, a cheerteam.
At the Gryffindor table it is quiet and frantic fan girls chase after Harry Potter. On the Ravenclaw table there’s a pulsating brain! (no just kidding, I’m a book. Book’s have vivid imaginations)
You look up at the ceiling and a starry sky greets you, a soft breeze downing on you from above and wispy clouds swaying.
Once out of the hall, your back on the purple carpet path in the entrance hall following it to the left. The dungeons (shackles, chains and torture cells there! No, I’m a book remember. Vivid imagination)
The hair on the back of your neck stands up and a chilly, cold unwelcoming breeze reaches your skin. You continue down on the cool stone flagon corridor and take a peek inside Snape’s room. Jarred cockroaches and snakes!
You run. (hah fear came to you, I knew it! Na na na na na! Scaredy cat!Ok I’ll shut up now, I’m just a book)
Once out of the dungeons you head up the maginificent staircase and past suits of armour (like the millionth one!)
Your path leads you to the trophy room, you sneeze from the dust (no snot on my pages!) You see the special service to the school awards and you think, yawn! (yes I can read your mind! I’m a book!)
Once again you are roaming the corridors and your legs (and me!) take you to a long winding spiralling staircase. Your standing at the astronomy tower watching the real stars, 300 feet above the ground. You take a step back (don’t you dare drop me!) and continue back down the stairs and onto the sickly purple carpet path which leads outside.
This time you are standing by the grandstands of the Quidditch pitch, here a million games have been played, won and lost. A feeling of awe tingles you as you stand and look at its vast green field and high hoops at either end.
The Hogwarty type chill steps in and you turn back to your destined purple carpet path into the castle. You follow it back to the front door, following the path out onto the grounds and you wander past Hagrid’s hut and down to the Lake. There, this book kicks you with a boot that has sprung out of this very page and kicks you in.

This attempt at making a movie is for both the Movie Challenge and the Castle Challenge.

It shows:

The HE Castle,
Our Entrance Hall, and Sorting Ceremony Chamber,
The Hogwarts Express, where everyone gets acquainted,
Our Notice Board, where Elfie and Duckie put up new ways of getting new housepoints,
One of our many Floo Fireplaces, where we can visit places far beyond our imaginations,
The Well Equipped and Modern Classrooms, where all the marvelous Professors teach their classes and pass on their wisdom,
The Duelling Chamber, the place to practice and hone our skills in the art of duelling,
Our Famous Quidditch Pitch,
The Great Hall, where all our scintillating events, discussions and debates take place,
Hogwarts Walks and Gardens, the place to ship to our Hearts' content,
The Perfect Games Room and Common Rooms are where we all relax and simply have fun talking to each other,
And that concludes our brief but enlightening tour!

*happy peppy voice* welcome to the H.E. Castle! I'm your tour guide for the day, Lifey. *indicates her name-tag* First i'd like to go over some ground rules for the tour please no photographing the hippos, do not feed the hippos and, DO NOT TOUCH THE HIPPOS. *smiles again* now if you'll follow me up past these front gates, as you see, a ballet hippo on either side stand guard over the Hogwarts Experience. Over the top of the gates you see the two sides are connected in the center by the hogwarts crest.

As we walk up the path to the castle i'd like you to direct your attentnion to the left where you will see the quidditch pitch, where are quidditch tournament has just ended and even though we lost ravenclaw kicked tushie. Not that i'm biased of course. *walks further up the path* and to our right is a replica of Hagrids Hut in which Care of Magical Creatures lessons take place.

*enter the caslte through huge cast iron swinging doors* *the tour come into a MASSIVE circulare room with a hallway going left and right, and doors covering the walls. there is even a staircase going up to a second, even a third level of doors.*

*in the center of the room is a single stool with a hat resting on it*

this is where newcommers get sorted, *points to the stool* and down that hallway *indicates the left hallway* are Ravenclaw and Slytherin Common rooms and dorms and that way *points to the left* are Gryffindore and Hufflepuff’s.

Now starting here *the door on the far left working to the right* hospital wing, Head of House office, the holy room of the notice board, a room in which we think Elfie is keeping several purple hippos and breeding them…the fireplace with floo powder, and the trophy room aka house cup room.

If you’ll look above us, you’ll see the second level is devoted to classrooms, the library and challenge chamber.

*moving up to the second level, and up to the third level* Ah, here we have the great hall. *walks into a huge room, all gold and purple and hippo and eagle and badger and lion and snake.* this is where we’re currently having three balls, one play, a quidditch world cup and a battle.

*moves to a new room* now in THIS room we have duels, *walks to the next room* here is our lovely debate hall *there are several purple and gold podiums* *leads tour to the next room* and HERE Is our apparition test center.

And finally *leads to the top floor which consists of one huge room full of couches, tables, games, and is basically a wonderful ‘hang out’ room* this is where students can gather to discuss either harry potter, classes, movies, or music, play games, form and join clubs, and basically hang out.
