Interhouse Dance 1: Mcfly_42 and Rip dogfather

::The lights come on as the music starts. Becky and Elly are in there starting positions, both facing there right. Becky infront, elly about 1.5 metres behind. There costumes are simple, but effective. Trousers, a T-shirt, Elly wears red to represent beckys house, gryffindo and Becky is wearing blue to represent Ellys house, Ravenclaw. They have a white shirt over the top.

In a slight right legged lunge they are holding their michael Jackson style hats infront of them in their right arm, the other arm bent behind their backs. The music starts to billie jean but it wouldn't stay billie jean all the way through as the music was a Michael jackson remix with all his best songs in it, there are four beats before they start to move, the next to beats ofthe music they place their hats on their heads and for the next two beats they hold the rim of their hats, look forward through their arm as it is holding the sideof the hat, then look back, then repeat this. To the next four beats move forward, opening and closing their legs with their hands loose on their hips::

::To the next bar of the music, they to shuffle-walks forward, hands down by their sides, while moving their heads in a MJ style. After eight 'shuffles', Becky clicks her fingers and turns sharply on the spot to face Elly, finishing in a lunge, hand on top of her hat. Elly mimics these movements::

::When the lyrics started, bobbing their head as they went, removed their hats and brought them down slowly, then back up again. On the last beat of that bar, they used both habds to pull the hat down. Then then turned to the front. They flung their arms outwards, and turne their legs outwards too, then flung them back in again for two beats. For the next two beats, they nodded their heads, leaning slightly to one side::

::They then leaned tot he other side, accompanying the move with a point with their left hand to the right. Thn when leaning back again, they pushed their hats so they sat to a slight lean on their heads. They did a move that they called 'pulling the rope. They stepped on their right foot, and moved their arms out to the right and pulled them in, as if pulling on a rope. They repeated this to the left::

::They did a quick spin, they posed in a 'Bruce Forsythe' position, before turning again. Becky smiled as she paused in the 'Bruce' position. This always reminded her of 'the mimic-man' party dance. And with that thought in mind, she put even more effort into the next part of the dance::

::They then span round to face back to the front and did a michael jackson style pose, with the legs inverted, the right hand behind the head, the other hand just below the hips. then they did a small skip thing and walked forward four steps then turned and walked back to the positions they had just been in. They then did two pelvic thrusts with their right hand forward, then two with the left, then two with the right and two with the left again.

Then, doing a ball dig they turned to face the left and did for bops down to the floor with arms coming up and down to their chest and four back up.

Doing a ball change to the front they did six side walks to the front with penjulem (sp?) arms. Then when they had done these six walks they bought their right arm up onto their left arm, leant to the left side and abck up. Then taking off their hats they walked back to their original positions faceing the front, swung their arm so their hat was back on and pulled it so it lay on their head diagonally::

::Thet then threw their right hands forwards sharply twice, to the lyrics 'people always told me'. The then shimmied, using their shoulders, while turning to face the stage left::

::They slid forward, while pointing with their right arm. They pair crouched down, and as they stood slowly, they pivoted their feet to face the front, bringing their right arm out to the side, and looking down at the floor::

::Becky then removed her hat and through it onto the audience. She could see to audience fighting over who caught the hat. Elly then copied the move. They waited in that persition, then did a forward walkover towards the right-diagonal corner. Becky almost laughed out loud, because Elly nearly fell off the stage::

::to the next chorus which was to the song Billie Jean they did four clicks with their right hand walking forward. Then with the right hand puched up diagonally left and then did the opposite with the right arm. Then repeating this they added a leg flick into it.

Then facing the left diagonal front they did flung their arms out infront then pulled them back in doing a bodyroll backwards, they repeated this then crossing their right leg over their left with coordinated arms turned to face the back then repeated the leg crossover to face the front.

Bringing their arms over their heads and flicking their hips, they repeated this then did four clicks to face the right diagonal front. Then they faced baqck to the left diagonal front, lifeted their left leg up as they leaned back and repeated this. Using their right leg they brought it round to face the right diagonal front, did a fast spin to face the left diagonal front again, then another short spin to face back to the right diagonal, opened their shirt and did four pelvic thrusts, then did a forward walkover and skipped round in a circle back to their positions. They then did an open turn to the right and moved on to the next peice of music.

To the words the girl is mine they did two hip circles, then brought their right leg forward and did a heel dig then brought the leg back and did a toe beat after this they did two shoulder shimmeys then skip/walked round so becky was in Ellys position and Elly was in Beckys. They faced each other and did a low coordinated arms with the extended arm facing the front. They funky chicken towards the back, switched their arms twice then funcky chickend to the front. They brought their back leg round and turned to face the left diagonal front. To the word shumoh they did a body roll bringing their right arm down their body, Elly waited to do the next bit. She liked the next bit as it had one of her favourite michael jackson songs in it::
