Interhouse Dance 3: Fated4HP and just ginny

(First we'll set the scene and mood to give the audience a chance to be drawn into it. You really have to use your imagination on how this looks :D )

~The stage is turned into a set filled with toys-essentially a toy shop.~

~Pictured before the audience's eyes:
Wooden shelves alined with toy cars, planes, trains, building blocks, hundreds of different types of stuffed animals.
In one corner, in a small, tan rocking chair, sits a cute purple hippo holdinging a flower, with big eyes a big smile and the letters "H. E. " embroidered across her tummy.
~In the middle of the floor, is a small rocking horse, made completely from wood, that is polished and shines with carving embellishments around its neck. The other side, of the room, on a nice wooden window sill in front of a big, square store window,sits a cute little doll.

And not just any doll.~

~Her hair is a crimson red; long, soft, and exquisite as she's crafted to an artistic perfection.
Her eyes are closed and she sits slouched slightly, as if perhaps were she real, she would give you the impression of being sad.She wears a cute, soft velvet, emerald green dress, with a lovely red bow around her waist to accent it and tiny little shoes just a shade darker than that of her dress.~ Her tiny painted lips, are a soft pink but look rather dull and hold no expression, and her light cheeks, bearing just a tiny hint of pink, are smudged a bit with dust and dirt. She seems to have been sitting in this same spot for ages.~

~And then appears a rather nice-looking, young man, wearing a magician's suit-as it is what he is.Adorning his blond hair,sitting upon his head; sits a black top hat which he quietly adjusts with his sleek, white-gloved hands.He also adjusts his jacket complete with dangling coat tails, and his marvelously straight black bow tie; before opening the 'door' and stepping into this small, quaint, yet intriguing toy shop.~

~His soft blue eyes, scan the toys, picking up a toy car, examining it and placing it back on its shelf.~

~He turns slowly, and a look of curiosity graces his smooth features as he walks over, catching sight of the doll in the green dress.~

((Ginny-the-doll has arrived :D I'm describing this as an ACTUAL doll, not me, obviously I have not sat on a shelf gathering dust...))

::Ginny heard a soft tinkling of bells, someone had entered the toy shop. If she had been able to straighten up right then, she would've. But after ten long, lonely years, her once perfect posture had gone slouched. Her eyes, once a sparkling brown, were now hidden behind her dirty eye lids, blocking her view of the outside world. It was probably just as well that she couldn't, because of her now dust covered appearance. Her green dress had become slightly heavier with its thin layer of dust. ::

::The spotlight brightens over her form, and echoing around the auditorium (stage area? where ARE we??), a voice is heard. At first, people are confused and look around, and realize that the voice is coming from the doll. However, upon close inspection, it can be seen that the doll is not moving her mouth at all. How can it be that they can hear her talk? What are they hearing? Her thoughts? Perhaps...::

I was once a very pretty doll, you know, not like now. In fact, a long time ago, I had been bought almost as soon as I was put up on this same shelf. A little girl, about six years old, had bought me, and I was her special friend, and she would tell me everything. We'd have sleep over, and she would whisper all her fears, all her secrets, to me. She would host tea parties, and I would be the honored guest, she took such good care of me I never got so much a crumb on my dress. Those were happy times, magical times. I know you all have heard of and believe in magic, but what I lived in was true magic. To be loved, and trusted, and cared for, is more powerful than any spell, charm, hex, or curse you know of.

But, sadly, those happy years were cut suddenly short. About, eleven years ago, the little girl-whose name was Nadia, by the way-was taken to a hospital, and she brought me with her, I never ever left her side. There, she was subjected to some sort of tests, and slowly, her hair began to fall out. Soon, none of her lovely chestnut brown hair was left. In front of the doctors, and her family, and her friends, she put up a brave face. But, late at night, when all of the other children in the ward were asleep, she would cry to me, and say how she wished that she would get better soon, because she missed her kitty, and her room. I don't know how many nights she cried herself to sleep, but I felt horrible, not being able to do anything about it, just having to watch.

But, come morning-time, she was all smiles for the other children. If I may say quite modestly, I became quite popular with the other kids. Except for Billy, he tried to pull my hair out! I did *not* like Billy. Nadia made sure that I was never near him again.

Then, early one night, Nadia whispered to me, 'I'm so tired now, I think I'll sleep instead of talking'. The next thing I knew, when I woke, the bed was empty, and I was packed away and sent here. Where I have been for ten long years...

::A murmur of sadness ripples across the crowd in waves as a fade in of a slow piano melody is being played. The spotlight dims on the doll and brightens more on the magician.::

~The young magician approaches the sad little doll. He raises a curious brow, wondering why he's drawn to her.~

~his hand slowly reaches down, his fingers gently curl around her tiny soft little waist and he slowly picks her up, with bits of dust flying off of her.~

What sadness I feel, holding this doll. She seems almost real, yet this aura of sad feeling, of lost and loneliness looms around her He thinks as he lifts her up and looks at her more closely.~

~He closes his blue eyes, inhales slowly, and imagines.~

~His thoughts perplexing and unfathomable yet he drifts into them with a graceful ease.~

~The feeling of a warm summer's day, is the first thing he imagines, then sounds of laughter and joy of little girls. Images of many of them carrying dolls, frollicking, dancing around in their dresses. The feel of steam probably from that of an exciting tea party. With many other dolls and children around, all giggling and joyful~

~Then the images fade...slowly turning to grey...and slowly the voices muffle, the images blur and fade into the silent darkness.~

~He opens his eyes, his features soften, and his eyes warmly look back to the little figure in his hand.~

~And then He speaks softly to her, his voice barely above a whisper, yet filled with compassion.~

" I can see you've been abandoned by those who you used to share joy and happiness with. Perhaps not by your choice, my darling; but by a cruel twist of fate. And here you have sat for quite some time. As if in hopes of being reunited with whom you have lost. You've been left here to waste away and fall into sadness. The sadness that graces your so fair, lovely, plastic complexion has sucked the life from you. I can see you once shone with elegance. I would wager that not another doll could compete with you back in those joyful days."

~He sighs deeply, as his shimmering blue eyes stare warmly at the doll.~

The piano plays more as it's melody fades in a bit louder with the words of a familiar song....
