School Books: Ask for Help!

i need to write an essay on the opening of 'to kill a mockingbird' about how harper lee ses the scene

has anyone else read it?

(This probably isn't too likely, but I didn't summarize a couple books and am too lazy to go back to summarize. By the way, this is not homework, merely an encouraged studying method.)

Hm, my sister read the Odyssey last year for school, and the Sparknotes website and book really helped her. It summarizes the books and does character analysis and things like that.

In catcher of the rye isnt the whole book about abuse in general - Houlden Caulfield's struggle with his obsession with preserving the innocence of children The idea of the Catcher in the Rye is Houlden being someone who "catches" kids playing in a field of "rye" before they fall off a cliff, or someone who stops kids from losing their innocence.

For a book report I have to do this month, I am reading The End, the last book in the Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. I'll have to say what genre the book is, but the writing style and the plot is so unique that I have no clue...

Catcher In The Rye, I read that one already. Alot of people like it, but I really don't see what was so great about it...

I KNOW! i don't like it either! but my whole class is like 'omg i love that book! i totally love the humor and i can totally relate to holden!" and i just sit there trying not to fall asleep.

Well...now we're on "Their Eyes Were Watching God". WE just started..it's okay. I have to get into more to see whether I'll like it or not

In English class we read The Westing Game by I forget who. I have to say how the Westing game is like a game of chess and how chess helped to solve the mystery and I'm completely lost.
