Lemony Snicket Series

Has anyone read this series of books? I have only read A Series of Unfortunate Events, which is better than the film!

yup :D i argee the books are better then the movie. i've read through book 12 i still havent managed to get book 13 yey

I love the Series of Unfortunate Events, and the movie is good too. I have read all but the first and last :D

I love the pessimistic tone to the writing, sometimes it's funny and I havent read another book written like it

I've read them up to the11th one I think. I like them better than the movie too.

They are WAY better than the movie. The movie wasnt sad enough. And they made Olaf funny. I hated it. I totally despised the movie. But the books were very amusing. I love the way Snicket writes. I think I read up to the one with the submarine. Is that the 12th? I can't remember. But yes, I also love that pessimistic kind of tone. And sometimes its so funny the way he does it. I love that kind of dry humor.

I haven't gotten around to reading them yet, i've seen the movie though

i love the series and the movie

i haven't read them yet, though i'd like to. after chronicles of narnia i guess. lol

they're sort of funny, and I read the first few...but they're all sort of the same--I mean, beginning: Baudelaires running away...middle: Baudelaires find out that someone was actually Count Olaf all along...end: Baudelaires run away. He DOES drop little hints throughout about where the plot is heading, he's just taking an age to get to the point. But he's really sarcastic, which I like.

I read the series of unfortunate events which i found much better than the film (and thats saying something as i am a film nut)

i was reading a mag and i saw that the 13th book was called the end that schocking sercerts i think is about the books or something but anyways if anyone was wondering what the last book is called i think thats its the end

I used to love these books! But by the 6th one I got tired of them> I was like okaaaay it's a series of UNFORTUNATE events!!! Nothing good is ever going to happen at the end!!! lol

Lol I found a copy of the End at a bookstore and flipped through it...some VERY interesting surprises at the end there, lol.

I've gotten bored of the books but I still think Snicket had some very interesting ideas. Especially in the last book. :D

I have the beatrice letters too and also the unathoerzed autobiography, which were both kinda confusing but i read both of those books in like 2 in the morning so i was really really tired.

I am still looking for book 13, my last schools library didnt have it. The movie was worse than the book in my opinion....jumbled things all up

I have all my books in hardback XD omg these books were amazing the end made me cry but I'm not going to say what because that would be a spoiler. They are really good books but not ones where you can read the whole collection in one go. I read them like one lemony snicket book then another book because if you read them all together your like bleurgh!

i read the first 10 all together and i still liked it and the ending was sad.... right now im trying to get mom to get me 13 shocking scerates(sp)..... i hope she does..... i mean after all i suppose to get DH yesterday and i still have yet to see it.... lol

those book are awesome. i have read all of them. they r still not as good as HP books but they r up there.

I have actually never like them. They all seem to the same to me just with a different even but the same plot terms seem to happen each time.

My favorite one is the last one it was ooo cool..... and the penultiamte peril was also on of my favs. i just love these books and i have read every one of them. I think i read every one of them last year. It was one of those books were i read the first one and couldn't stop reading them until i got the awaited last one! gezzz it felt good lol

As Pickle (^^^ABOVE^^^) probably already knows, I am also a big fan of tese books. They are so funny, sad and entertaining. I like the Vile Village and the Hostile Hospital the most. They are really witty and cool. I also own The Beatrice Letters, The unautorized Autobiography and Horseradish (THE ADDITION BOOKS TO THE SERIES) They are all good.

I think my favorite book would have to be the penulitimate perial and then the slippery slope, mainly because they answer some questions and start another batch of qustions off that aren't ever answered. Does anyone think that one of their parents lived. I have a strange feeling about their mother, mainly because she was the one that killed Olafs parents. Maybe she had the cunning wit on how to go out..... xD just a thought

He is so...like wise or intelligent, the way he write and stuff.
