Watson not sure about continuing Potter films

I'd really like to try some theater, actually, because I think I would really enjoy that immediate response from an audience. I love making people laugh. I love to perform, but there are so many things I love doing. [Pause] Maybe that seems ungrateful. I have been given such an amazing opportunity, but I'll just have to go with the flow and see what happens."

Nooooo!! She has to keep continuingg for the sake of her HP fans

I want to see her in other movies too

It would be awesome to see her as a mean girl lol.

She must she must she must!!! It just wouldn't be the same without Emma! And honestly, who could replace her? There's only two movies left after this one, can't she jsut stay with it?!

I mean I understand what she means...but even if she quits now it'll be really hard to act in other movies. Cause everyone everywhere knows her as Hermione Granger...

Kinda like Superman...he cant be known as anything else...the role is too big..

Whilst I'm not...how should I put this...Emma's biggest fan...I think it would be a little odd if she left and someone else took over the role.

OK, so the producers of the HP films don't really care all that much about a little thing called continuity (random hills sprang up in PoA and Hagrid's hut suddenly moved from where it was originally ), but changing one of the main character's actor's is a big thing.

They've replaced Dumbledore, but that couldn't be helped, and even that's a little jarring to watch Richard Harris in PS and CoS and then Michael Gambon in TFWSNBN (the film which shall not be named) and GoF.

Even though I don't like her, I think she should stick with it til the end, she'd be mad not to.

Trust it to be emma watson that would want to destroy everything for others!

It would be too weird... there's a tv show that did that once (well probably more than one but oh well), changing the actress but still having the character... and I was so confused!

Anyway, what would be the difference if she stopped after the 5th or the 7th movie? People won't recognize her as Hermione anymore if she don't do the last two movies? I think it,d be even worse, she'd be "the first Hermione"

That is very true. If I was in her possition i would rather be known as THE hermione rather than the first hermione who quit

While I dont love Emma Watson *cough* I agree, she cannot leave... it would be too weird seeing another actor play the part.

Although I dont think the films will be the same without her and the fact that I dont think they will make as much money if they loose her but I see why she would want to leave... If you see One of the Harry Potter Actors you know them.. From Harry Potter which makes it almost impossible for you to see them as someone else in another movie

I love Emma as Hermione and personally I think that if Dan and Rupert stay in then so willl she. If not, then she'll probably leave as well. Hopefully they'll continue, I really do. It wouldn't be the same.

But, it would be nice to see Emma star in another movie. Dan has December Boys
Rupert has Driving Lessons. But, supposedly, Emma is to take on the role as Kate in a movie called Ariborne. Not entirley sure though.

Nah, I think it was just something she said because Rupert and Daniel were still deciding if they were going to continue.

I personally think she's an excellent Hermione, and she'd be an absolute fool not to do the last two films. If not just for the sake of her bank account, and for the stigma of bailing on a series midway through.

Though I doubt her bank account is in that much of a need right now I agree lol

Anyway like I said before, I'd prefer being known as the girl who played Hermione for the rest of my life than as the girl who played the first Hermione XD

It's funny! I just read this in one of the teen magazines in wal-mart the other day! You know the articles where they check wheter it's TRUTH or RUMOR? weeellll theu had it as "Watson breaking the trio!" or something like that and they chekced RUMOR!!! So, it's not ture.

I really hope she continues her role as Hermione. She whas been doing it since the beginning. To replace her in the later movies just would not be the same. You know her as Hermione, that's who she is.

I am sure after the 7th movie comes out she will have every chance handed to her she wants.

they didn't change the actor, but they changed his look. He's now the short guy who was crowd surfing..also the choir conductor....it said so in the credits!

I aien't a big fan of Emma but if she leaves it just won't be right! no one will be able to play Hermione the same way and it'd just end up looking stupid

She really fits in her "Hermione" role.Not seeing her in the 5th and 6th movie will be weird.If they put someone else for this role,we all will feel unhappy 'cause we are all used to se Emma in this role.

Of course,seeing her in other films would be great,but I think she must at least finish the HP films before doing something else.

^^ True. I dunno. I just get the impression from her that she'd rather not be in the acting profession, regardless of what she says.
That doesn't stop me adoring her. I think she's fantastic and she's come a loooooong way since the first movie. If she decides not to do the final two, then boo on her. It would be totally strange to have someone else in the role.

I love Emma,and I hope that she says this just to make us afraid or just see what people will say...don't know,there are lots of possibilities.

dan and rupert haven't had any trouble getting more variety in their careers, and they are both still doing harry potter movies at the same time. i can't see why emma can't do that too.
