| Okay, so I was reluctant to read this book, thinking that like most books written around that time period, it would have lots of extra description, too much fancy language, not enough action and a plot that was hard to grasp.
I was very pleasantly surprised, though. This book was really GOOD. It was funny, the plot kept turning in different unexpected ways, and really, it was impossible for me to guess the ending. What I liked most was that she didn't waste any time just describing stuff, but nearly every paragraph had interesting stuff or dialogue happening. The plot was somehow simple and complex at the same time. I loved it.
It is the first book written in the 1800's that I really love in the unabridged version. Anyone else like it?

| I loooove that book!
I first found it about 3 years ago lol. Actually, I saw a bit of the movie (the 1996 version with Charlotte Gainsbourg and William Hurt) and I looked it up, and then I saw it was based on a book so I rented it and I read it in less than a day lol.
Now I bought the book and I read it about twice a year ^^ I also have the movie lol

| I love this book, surprisingly. I read it for A'levels and it was one of the only books I actually enjoyed. It has so much depth and a plot line which kept me sitting on the edge of my seat. The characters were so real and you could really sense their feelings. It was great! | |

| Since watching the BBC adaptation of Jane Eyre, I've been wanting to read the book - although I've tried to read Wuthering Heights by her sister and struggled so I'm not sure if I'd get on with this book.
That said, The Works do these 'classics' for £1.50 each so I may as well get it lol.

| Really, I wasn't expecting to like it that much at all, books from around that time usually have a lot of boring drabble...but this one was so good...and so funny lol...with Mr. Rochester always pretending to be someone else lol! | |

| i have JUST finished reading it (and now i'm on to sense and sensibility) and i LOVED IT. It was a powerful book, the emotions could make me cry from sadness(helen's death/mrs. reed/young jane) or from happiness/the sweetness of the moment (mr. rochester's first proposal! *squeeeeee*). Of course maybe i cried because i was up late, but i don't think so. I loved that it was a happily ever after, and i hate st john rivers. lol

| yeah I loved that part where they hear each other calling. I liked the second proposal as well, because then Mr. Rochester isn't as sure about her feelings for him as he was before...oh and I just remembered! I love that part where he dresses as a gypsy! :D | |

| I'm currently reading this book. I'm about halfway through and am, thus far, absolutely loving it. It's one of my mother's favourites, so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. | |
