Becoming Jane

I just saw this movie last night... and it seriously made me cry so much!!! It's basically about the life of Jane Austen, and I thought it was really good. Let me know what you thought of it! And if you haven't seen it, then go see it right now! lol But I think that to fully appreciate it, you have to 1) like Jane Austen's books and 2) be a romantic at heart . I'm both of these lol. I cried myself to sleep last night... and my mom thought I was insane XD.

I just watched this! When I heard it was coming out I was psyched! I love Jan Austen.
Anne Hathaway did a great job portraying her, I was a little sketchy but she actually fits the profile.
I didn't cry, but the end got me misty eyed. I was like 'awwwww!'


After watching it I had to read her books over. lol

I've read all her books (as far as I can remember xD) but I don't really remember Emma, it was a long time ago; however, I did find parallels to Pride and Prejudice - basically everything except the fact that she didn't get to marry her loved one in real life could be translated onto the book. *sighs* Poor Jane... but then again, not having fulfilled her love in real life probably contributed to her writing such amazing love stories...

... ah, I think if she were alive now, I'd run over and hug her tightly and thank her for all the awesome books and tell her not to be too sad about her own lost love (well.... ok, maybe I wouldn't tell her the second part, too personal xD)

ahh, getting off-topic, since this is a thread about the movie and not about Jane herself xD

on-topic: yup, Anne Hathaway did a great job playing Jane, but so did James McAvoy in his role as... Tom was his name, right? ... helped my tears come up, since it was sad to see Jane lose the love of her life, but it was even sadder to see her lose.. him! ^^"

I really, really, really want to see this movie. I love Jane Austen as a writer. I also am quite fond of Anne Hathaway as an actor. I'm looking forward to seeing her in such a grown-up role. I hope it's everything that you all say it is!
