Subject: Round One - Venus vs delta Fri Oct 20 2006, 12:04

Welcome to the first round of the dueling tournament!!

The rules are as follows:

1) Each person will be allowed to make 6 posts – no double posting allowed!! One person will post and the other person will proceed - so on and so forth.
2) You may use created spells or spells from the book to either attack or defend. I want to see how creative you can be!
3) When both parties are finished the match is over and your duel will be reviewed and the scores will be listed on the scoring thread.
4) Scores will be updated regularly.
5) You have TWO weeks to complete this duel. If your partner doesn’t show up we will try and contact them. If you don’t complete the duel by the end of the two weeks we will judge you on what’s there.
6) ONLY the people listed on the thread can post in this duel.

There are 38 people in the duel now!!

Delta stepped anxiously forward, quite nervous in participating in her first duel. She pulled out her wand and looked around - her opponent, Venus, was no where to be seen.

Suddenly, a swoosh of air from behind her warned Delta of the incoming danger and she sent up a Titan block quickly. The hex radiated off Delta's block, and Delta warily watched for signs of her opponent. Venus swung down cheekily from the air, and Delta stared up as Venus descended slowly to the ground. Delta readied her wand and sent out a spell, yelling "Fluctexarmus!” (all credit to the spell to Greengecko of hpff), and an orange comet, which resisted Venus's block, began to envelop her. Knowing that that spell could only do so much damage, Delta sent up a wall with a nonverbal spell that allowed the speller to see through the wall and added a rubber shield for extra protection.

Delta idly waited for her opponent's next attack, with her wand, a 12" unicorn core and phoenix hair, ever at the ready.
