ROUND 1: GROUP 4 : Delta V Rhiannonmei

June softly walked into the room. She quickly scanned the room for her opponent, but saw nothing. June went to stand in the corner of the room and settled into her duelling stance. She cast a disillusionment charm on herself before going over different offensive and defensive spells in her head.
She surveyed her surroundings and said,"illusione di essendo in midair"(illusion of being in midair). June was satisfied when the room looked like a piece of the sky, perfect with clouds. "Estinguishere (extinguish),"June said and watched the torches on the wall become extinguished. She smiled. Now the room was perfect! She then waved her wand and said,"Accio," concentrating on her beloved broom. June felt more than saw the broom enter the room and fly into her hand. She lovingly patted it while waving her wand and with a eterno invisibile schermo [eternal invisible shield], June was enveloped in an invisible shield that wouldn't go away untill she (and only she) said the counter charm.

Delta came in, immediately noticing the utter darkness of the room, as she shut the door behind her. She quickly moved to the opposite wall in case her opponent was already there and had seen her enter. Tapping her glasses, Delta muttered, "Visione." The room suddenly looked as if the lights had been normally on, and she noticed her opponent hovering in the wall on a broom with a shimmering shield around her. Delta quickly ran through her repertoire of defensive spells in an attempt to figure out the spell her opponent had around her before deciding to test its strength. She quickly muttered, "Contraddire la protezione" to set up a counter shield around her that would rebound any opponent's attacks.

Stepping out from her niche in the corner, Delta waved her wand, silently urging "Perforare la borsa" and immediately saw a big punching fist appear and begin punching June. She frowned, however, when it appeared to be hitting an invisible wall and called it up quickly.

It looks like she's got some sort of invisible shield up, Delta mused. But anybody can be trapped in a mountain, can't they? With a swish of her wand, mountains rose around June that went up to the ceiling, preventing her from using her broom to get out. With a satisfied smirk, Delta waited for June's next manuever.

June watched as mountains rose up around her. Smirking, she said, "Incenerisca montagne (incinerate mountains)". The mountains fell to ash. June saw that Del had a shield around her, so June cast, "Gabbia di ghiaccio (cage of ice)." A cage of fireproof ice rose up and surrounded Del. June then said, "Saluto attaccare (hail attack)." At June's specific spell, clumps of hail would instantaneously fall upon Delta. June whizzed off on her broom, but not before pointing to Delta's glasses and saying, "Finite incantatem." Delta's vision spell was canceled. June cast, "occhio da gatto occhi (cat's eyes)" and her pupils became that of a cat's, enabling her to see through the darkness.

Delta grumbled with annoyance as she felt the pellets of hail fall on her and the room went dark. My counter spell must have stopped working, Delta mused. With a flick of her wand, Delta recast the spell and the spells that had been down on her were instantly recanted on her opponent, who soon felt the scourge of ice mountains, hail, and bad vision. She put up a Titan block quickly, which stopped the hail storm and she pointed her wand at the mountain of ice. "Fuego (Fire)," she said, and instantly, the ice began melting. She recast her eye spell, but with wards to prevent any counter spells, saying "Visione sin la parada." With a smirk, Delta watched her opponent struggle with the ice and hail. She looked around the room quickly and decided to cast another spell for extra measure. "Terremoto," Delta cried, and watched with amusement as the ground under her opponent split under the girl. For extra protection, Delta said, "Esconda de los sentidos (Hide from the senses)." This would ensure that her opponent could neither see her, feel her, hear her, or smell her. With steps of trepidation, Delta quickly manuveured herself into a better position to watch her opponent's wand hand.

Turning quickly on her broom, June saw jets of light heading towards her from around Delta. Calmly, she sat there and smiled when the jets of light that had rebounded off of Delta get blocked by June's own shield. Suddenly, the ground beneath June split open and panicing, June shouted, "Recherche! (reseal)" and the ground beneath her sealed itself up again. June sighed in relief as the ground resealed itself. Now that she thought about it, June hadn't been that worried because she had her broom, but if June for some reason fell off, then it would be better for her if she had solid ground to fall on.

Turning back to her opponent, June saw that she had seemingly disappeared. "Strange..." she murmured. June then cast numerous spells that would allow June to sense Delta, but frowned when no results appeared. Perhaps Delta had hidden herself from June's senses? Deciding to try something, June quickly spun around on her broom, waving her wand in a wide arch. 'Accio Delta,' she cast nonverbally and braced herself for the impact of Delta. Perhaps Del had hidden herself from June's senses, but had neglected to hide herself from the sense of 'touch'. It was a 5% chance, but June took it. Immediately after casting that spell, June cast, 'Paralyser quand touché (paralyze when touched)' on herself. If Delta hadn't hidden herself from the sense of touch, then when she collided with June, she would be instantly paralyzed. 'Actually,' June thought, 'If anything touches me it'll be paralyzed...'
