| Welcome to this Halloween themed class Nothing too strenuous here, just a little bit of fun. What I'd like you to do is think of a horror film, which has, in some way, creatures or monsters in it. For example, you could choose to do "The Birds" or "Jaws". Tasks:Part One: -Write a review of the film, as though it will be appearing in Witch Weekly magazine. -Explain what role the creatures or monsters have in the film. -Discuss how the creatures or monsters create tension and contribute to the feeling of 'horror'. Remember, the more you write, the better chance of getting more points. Bonus: Find a picture of the creature/monster you are looking at. Points availablePart One: 85 Bonus: 15 Total: 100 Have fun! | PART ONECURSEDIt's Friday my fellow members of the wizarding world and that means only one thing. It's time for our weekly muggle movie review. This weeks movie we have selected is called Cursed. This movie begins when a Sister and Brother are driving in a car, something runs out in front of them and they hit it and are eventually attacked by a werewolf. During the movie they are trying to figure out what is happening to them as they are undergoing some serious changes. Including some newly discovered powers. They are changing into werewolves and once they figure it out, they are trying to figure out what to do and who the werewolf is that bit them. Of coarse we know the best thing to do would be to check in to Saint Mungo's and ask them for a potion to stop the side effects! The werewolf in the film is not exactly what I would call the friendliest of creatures. He spends numerous hours trying to attack a seemingly friendly family and anyone he sees. He is quite scary and creates much tension for all involved including making others werewolves for the plan of eliminating ones he doesn't like. The movie was not too bad for a muggle made movie, but all of us witches and wizards know that real werewolfs are not so obvious about introducing themselves to the general public, and in our world we would just whip out our wands and say an incantation or two to eliminate the foul beast or we could just call Mad-eye Moody to do it for us. I will give it a rating of 8/10. Good, but not great. And this concludes our review for the weekly muggle movie. Be sure to buy next weeks edition of Witch Weekly and read next weeks review on the muggle movie Hook, about this weird flying muggle guy named Peter Pan. He doesn't even use a broom! BONUSNot the best picture quality but I couldn't find any better ones. | |
