| To begin the flying classes, we will start with a simple theory class. (Flying classes will be a mixture of theory and practical!)
Before you can even contemplate flying, you will need to have your own broomstick.
This class will cover some of the basic makes of broomstick to give you an idea of what is around.
Part 1:
1. Which broomstick has an in built anti-burglar alarm fitted? (2)
2. The Cleansweep series have brought out many different brooms to date. Choose four and describe their best and worst qualities. (8)
3. How many tests did the comet series have before their first broom was released? (2)
4. Ellerby and Spudmore brought out what brooms? (2)
5. Which broom is treated with a diamond-hard polish? (2)
6. Which company made the Twigger 90? (2)
7. Gladys Boothby created which broom in what year? (2)
8. Select two brooms of the nimbus series and describe the benefits of each broom (8)
9. Which broom was specifically designed for endurance flying? (2)
10. Give a brief history of Universal Brooms Ltd (10)
Part 2:
Choose one broom known to wizard kind (not a made up one!) and describe its qualities in detail, explaining why you have chosen this broom to be yours. Write as much detail as you can as this part is worth 25 housepoints, and the more detailed you are the higher chance you have of receiving full points!
Bonus: Post a picture of a HP broom.

10. Give a brief history of Universal Brooms Ltd (10) They released the Shooting Star in 1955 but their products lost popularity over time. Afterwards they incurred heavy losses. Eventually, the company went lower on their charts, until the company went out of business altogether in 1978. Despite this, it is still remembered as the creator of the broom.
