Subject: Three Broomsticks Wed Dec 30 2009, 00:30

Alice walked into the three broom sticks a normal hang out spot for her and Jona. She had called Jona that morning saying she needed her to meet her here sure that Jona was going to be worried and spazzed out so this would be the perfect time. She picked a table of next to the stairs. She pulled her pea coat off and onto the edge of the chair. Somebody came over and asked her what she would like.
"Oh just a two butter beers and could you put a little ginger in one of them thanks." she said glancing down at her wrist. She was used to having a watch on but she forgot to put it on this morning and this bugged her but the news bubbling up inside her distracted her from this. The man came back with two cups and placed them in front of her and across from her. Alice nodded to thank him the he turned and left. It was packed today but quite and she couldn’t wait for Jona to get there.
(Eeek just realized I put this in the wrong spot can someone move in to the shops and pubs area thank you)

Jona took a deep breath, closing her eyes as she held her wand tight in her hand. She concentrated on her location, visualizing the very field she used to get into hogsmead. The Anti-Disapparition Jinx placed on both Hogsmead and Hogwarts had left her no choice but to walk from a few miles away. Not that this was a problem, but it was still time.

Alice had asked her to join her for a talk at the Three Broomsticks and as she evidently obliged without saying a word she was on her way. Alice knew Jona couldn't let down an invitation and not just for dinner but a real talk that worried her and made her even more stressed. What did she want to talk about? She almost never invited her to dinner and told her she had something important to tell her. If it was nothing she would of just said come.

Jona breathed normally but this was hard as she knew the tube-like sensation was coming. Apparation was not a simple thing, while some mastered this art of transportation Jona was stuck with her only imperfection, which was rock solid skin that was the least bit flexible. Jona visualized. She saw the field, the wind blowing over the straw colored grass.

Jona remembered as best she could focusing and squeezed her way to her destination. The sensation tight and uncomfortable. She couldn't breathe... not that it mattered... And she landed, feet on the ground, wobbling as she tried to get her balance back. She was there... finally there. Only 2 miles from Hogsmead. Jona stanced herself and ran towards the quiet little town. The flash of gold and green flew past her as she ran. The colors flashed past but all she could see was the glow of fire in the lamps. She could see the smoke rise from the chimneys of brick and she could smell human blood. As it got closer she slowed. Her feet skidded across the soft dirt. She squinted looking through the clouds.

Jona smiled as she slowly walked into Hogsmead. She walked down the hill and followed the path through she didn't walk on it. As she walked towards the "entrance" she fixed her messy pony tail adjusting her bangs/loose hair. Her smile faded as she could see a couple men checking her out, this wouldn't normally bother her- only that these men were intoxicated at extreme levels. Jonas eyes shifted as she could see, hear and smell people walking into the door of a familiar shop. She followed them in anticipation that Alice would be there waiting for her.

Alice herd the door open and she looked around the corner to see if it was Jona.
Oh I wonder if she will be jealous or annoyed or feel lonely or feel like I am leaving her. Maybe she will be happy for me I mean she is my best friend and sister and mom and all that maybe she will be excited. Will she be jumping up and down or just be like oh my gosh. I mean I’m still getting married no matter what but if she isn’t happy then I don’t know how I would get anything done. Could I still get married if she wouldn’t be my maid of honor? I never thought she would say know. Oh I got to stop thinking she could hear me and it would ruin the surprise. Alice thought. She smelt the air and there was a smell of someone familiar not something she smelt everyday but just something she knew. Alice ignored this though because she didn’t want anything to ruin this. Jona entered annoyed by the severl intoxicated men staring her up and down.
"Hey." alice said standing up and waving with her right hand motioning her to come over.

Jona could see and hear the drunken men starring at her. She closed her eyes trying to ignore them and walked further and into the Three Broomsticks. Alice was sitting over to the side, a table with two seats and a lit candle in the center. She had two butterbeers waiting for them- one of the only drinks that actually tasted good to vampires and witches alike.
Her eyes shifted and smiled as Alice signaled her to come over. Her warm smile faded, melting down into a confused stare. She looked around, almost as though she was searching for answers but she shook it off and took a seat across from her. In all seriousness she still spoke acknowledging her,
"Hi Alice..." She moved human like in her chair, trying to get comfortable, looking at Alice. Jona held the butterbeer in one hand, the only rested on the arm holding it. "What was it... you wanted to tell me?" She said, taking a sip of her beer.

Alice bit her lip and took a seat when Jona asked the question. Basically she was asking what she wanted but in Jona form.
"Who says there is anything I can’t ask my best friend to dinner now?" Alice asked avoiding the question.
"Well I suppose there is something." Alice stated not looking at Jona. She held out her left hand in front of Jona.
"Mathew asked me to marry him!" she shrieked still excited about it all.
Oh no here is comes either anger and depression or over whelming excitement. She thought hoping Jona wasn’t reading her thoughts.
"Can you believe it I'm going to be Alice Riddle, not very catchy but that ok." She finished shaking with excitement waiting for Jona to respond.

Jona went in for a sip of butterbeer and gulped a large chug down as she heard her say "marry". She slowly put the beer down and looked at her hand as she jumped up and down with excitement. The large diamond sat proudly on her second finger.
A few in the room got excited with her as they heard her. Some even considered congratulating her, Jona shot them a warning glare and then turned away. Jona looked back at Alice with a softer expression that was far less threatening.
"Oh yeah?" She huffed a weak chuckle, "You and Mathew?"

"You say that in a question?" Alice said catching her tone.
"You not excited or what well I know your excited at least a little but what?" she asked confused. Someone entered the broom sticks and out of habit she looked around to see who entered.
"Sorry to cut the conversation short but we have to leave." Alice stated stiffly but it was too late the man had walked over to her.
"Stay still and remain quite." she instructed.
"Hey Daddy dearest!" she stated not pleased.
"I hear you wish to be married." he stated smirking.
"Yes and you’re not invited so leave now."
"Don’t be snippy I am your father I brought you into this world I can bring you out."
"You’re no father to me!"
"Oh but on the contrary I am legally and in paper work your father and legal guardian and you technically a run away." he said pulling out a piece of paper Alice snatched it from his hand skimming through it.
"Well it doesn’t matter I am getting married you will no longer have custody over me."
"Wait how did you know I am getting married?" she asked her eye brows creasing.
"You leave sticky notes for me." he said proudly.
"I leave sticky notes for myself what were you doing in my house?" she asked resisting herself from standing up.
"The important thing is you are not getting married."
"Yes I am!" she insisted.
"No see you’re a run away and I found you this means I have control over you again and I say you are not getting married."
"What are you going to do lock me in the basement that’s child abuse that means you won’t have custody?"
"You realize you are 16 you can’t get married without a parents approval." he smiled and Alice’s mouth hung open he couldn’t do that was it even true either way he had got her stumped.

Jona stood up out of her chair- pushing it aside- and stood directly in front of the man who was Alice's father. She snatched the papers out of Alice's hand.
"I'll have you know that under the court of law we are not entitled to guardianship, and that if we may, I have taken it upon myself years ago- when you have failed to be accounted for, taken Alison Anne Bell as my child for I am of legal age to adopt and care for her. And you fail to remember that the court of law may appoint her or any immortal child freedom of marriage and freedom of lifestyle."
She turned around throwing his papers back at him. Standing next to Alice she held her close and gave him a scored stare, a stare of win and accomplishment though it was not over. She waited, ready for his next debate, but she was sure that she won; and if there was a fault that wasn't going to stop her or Alice. She was just getting warmed up.

"Jona you never legally adopted me." Alice said plainly still thinking for a way out and it seemed that what Jona said was flawless.
"Oh my dear I knew you would bring that up and according to this contract that law does not apply, it's even signed by her." he said motioning towards Alice. She didn’t have to read it she knew to what he was referring to.
"I was seven and that was before you were insane." Alice said blinking twice.
"That doesn’t keep it from being true." he said knowing that no matter what they could rebuttal he could beat them. A man came over.
"Excuse me is he bothering you?" the young man asked.
"Yes could you remove him?" she asked.
"No need I will be in touch with you later, and by the way congrats on strengthening your powers." he said then turned and left. The man left and Alice giggled just happy that this didn’t bloom out into a battle again.

Jona held Alice close to her and kept a serious face as the man walked over to see if they were okay. When Alice's father turned around and left the room she sighed silently in relief that he was gone but wasn't thrilled that the last thing he dared to say was a compliment on her "improved powers".

Jona turned to Alice horrified that she was even laughing. "What's so funny?!"
She huffed, "Do you know how serious this is? His "legal guardianship" can not only cost you your marriage but if what he says is true he has control over almost whatever you do!" She gasped trying to talk. "I can't believe you're laughing!"

"I'm laughing because I’m still with you. He didn’t try and pry me away he just left it makes me happy a little bit. Enjoy the little things right." She said with a straight face.
"Jona legally he can do whatever he wants but as long as I have free will he cant control my...If I have to get eloped in Vegas I will he can't keep me under control for long not anymore." Alice said embracing Jona.
"I will figure something out he can't...well he can but you know what I mean I’m getting married." Alice said not even talking to Jona any more and more to herself. She could tell Jonas tone was irritated. Alice sat back down and drank large gulps of Butter bear.
"I know legally he has control over all my decisions." She took a deep sigh and plopped onto the table.

Jona sighed sitting back down in the chair she pushed aside. She scooted it closer into the table and held her butterbeer the same way she had before Alice's father intruded. But instead of the confusion and the wonder of what she possibly wanted Jona knew. She was tense, worried and irritable. She inhaled deeply, in deep thought. Sighing once more she said,
"I don't think your father's paper work is valid..." Her personal opinion farfetched and outlandish, Jona was sure Alice would be both confused and in shock that she would say that. But she was also sure that there was a loophole. "You signed when you were... seven?" Taking a good swig of butterbeer she continued, "That paperwork is probably out of date... the law might have changed since then." Jona took another sip.

"He is not playing off of a law it's a basic contract but it is wound tighter then D.N.A. That contract is notarized and everything it's official. As for the guardianship papers even if they are not real there true. Never once was I legally adopted so I am still under his custody. I'm a run away and even if that doesn’t apply he has done research he knows everything there is to know. Every contradiction he has the materials to. You know how many contracts he has gotten me to sign by misleading or being drugged or drunk or whatever. He probably has closets full of them. I'm hosed." she said slamming her head on the table and staying there.
"The long period were he didn’t bother me that like two year period he was preparing for this." she said annoyed.
"All I wanted to do was get married to Mathew gosh, he just doesn’t want to lose his servant. Jona what do I do?" she asked looking up at her with big eyes stumped.

Jona turned away, listening intently, thinking about what they were going to do about the situation. She looked back, watching the wick of a well worn candle burn down to nothing. A part of her was sorry, sorry for Alice and her struggle. All she wanted- all she ever wanted- was to live a normal and easy life. Both of which she knew was impossible; but Jona tried to best to make it easy and to make it at least seem normal.

What Jona struggled to grasp was why Alice's father stepped between her and that reality. What could he possibly want? From such a young age he's worked to secure her, lock her to him with signed documents that now ruled her life. What was it he knew that Jona did not?

Jona could only guess that he was interested in her power, the power that she'd unleashed when she turned Alison immortal, but how could that be? It couldn't be the only reason, her father had her signing paper since she was seven, even if that was before he was insane. So much work for what? Jona let go of her grip, the butterbeer’s glass handle molded like metal. She clenched her hand in a fist so she wouldn't ruin anything else.

"Alice..." She said- "Do you have any idea what he could be planning? Do you know what he could possibly want? I have ideas but now I'm not sure..." She sighed. Jona didn't like not knowing, she never did.

Alice bit her lip thinking she had no clue and at the point everything seemed to be abstract. She couldn’t comprehend what Jona was asking of her. Jona was already planning things going through some master plan out of this. Alice couldn’t stand it anymore even if they solved this problem they he would come back taking more destroying her bit by bit. Maybe that was the plan to slowly destroy her bit by bit but honestly she didn’t care she just didn’t want to deal with this there was only one answer to this let him win.
"Jona...Jona stop I can’t take this anymore I have thought that sometimes having to deal with him every day would be better than having the constant fear of him popping up and that that nothing can be happy for me. I don’t think I can stand this anymore what if we just... I don’t know.... let him win then it would all be over." she said not looking at Jona and only staring down at her thumbs intertwining with her other fingers.
"I just can’t do it anymore." she said simply feeling the need to cry but knew the tears would never stream down her cheeks.

Jona reached over the table pulling Alice’s wrists. She shook is as she spoke, tired of the insanity.
"Alice! Will you listen to me?" She pleaded, sighing impatiently that she couldn't. What was it about this situation that pushed Alice off the cliff? The fear of control, the fear that she couldn't choose anything for herself? "What are you thinking? You don't really want him to win do you? You don’t really want to have to go through what you did before now... You have a nice life I don’t want to lose you." She stated looking deep into Alice’s broken spirit. Not only would Alice be lost but Jona. What was she going to do? Wasn't Alice's purpose in her life to be a friend? Or more?

"I'm listening and I’m just not sure." she said trying to pull away but Jonas grip was to strong.
"I don’t want him to win but... I can’t live like this I guess I am insane. All those doctor are right it's a genetic thing I am insane what do you want to hear from me!?" she asked not knowing what to say.
"I just don’t want to do this charade anymore and that’s the only answer I can come up with to end this..." it was silent and she said nothing for a while then she opened her mouth only for her tongue to fall dry. She tried on more time and nothing came out finally she built up the bravery to say:
"I just can’t and if I have to give up myself to save the ones I love I will. I don’t want to be a hero I just don’t want this to happen anymore. Jona help me please!" she pleaded no longer trying to get out of her grasp.

"Alice!" She shouted, her voice echoing throughout the three broomsticks. She pushed her butterbeer aside and stood up leaning over the table. She held onto Alice's wrists looking into her eyes. She looked away. "Alice..." Jona sighed and groaned in a impatient tone. She let go of her wrists almost pushing her away, Alice looking at her in sadness and confusion. She rested on the table, running her hand through her long blonde hair.

Alice wasn't insane; she was a smart, beautiful person who'd struggled. Those aren’t the ingredients to be insane? Doesn’t every brilliant person struggle once in their life? Jump over the barriers and be great? Why was Alice any different? Did those brilliant souls go insane? What were they going to do, besides the problem she faced now- her best friend thinks she's insane. Thinking that the doctors were "right". It was upsurd!

Alice held her wrists holding herself up from falling over from callusing.
"Jona!" she said softer not nearly as loud and intensifying as Jona had said her name.
"Face it what you want can't happen... You want to keep me safe but you know you have known that ever since you saved me that this was going to be impossible... it's inevitable... one way or another he is going to win and if he is going to why try to escape his grasp if it is impossible." she mumbled still refusing to meet Jonas eyes.
"And that is insane so why don’t you put me in a straight jacket it wouldn’t be the first time, just let him win Jona not every time do the good guys win and in this case we lose." she stated shallowly her voice faded at the last word.
"Go ahead." she stated focusing deeply on protecting her thoughts.

Jona completely stood up out of her chair, picking up her jacket and turning.
"Do you want my help Alice?" Her voice was sharp and almost threatening.
"Or would you rather just sit here and mope about being in a straight jacket?" She huffed in disbelief. "Nothing is impossible Alice... You can't lose hope." She dug in, her tone lightening- but only for a moment. "Because I'll leave... If you think he’s going to win with me here, then I see no problem with me NOT being here. For God’s sake Alice..." She cried turning around throwing her arms in the air. Jona waited to see if she would say something- determined that she would. If not she would leave, but she was never too far away.

"I...I...I don't know.... I'm just confused Jona." she said trying to glance at Jonas eyes but she couldn’t keep eye contact.
"If you are going to leave my decision will be made and you won’t see me again so...if you’re going to leave say your...goodbyes." she choked out. Alice couldn’t believe she was saying this she couldn’t believe she was thinking all this in fact she couldn’t believe what was going on.
"I don't know maybe after a little bit considering he didn't expect to win that...that he will let me get married." she stated clearly.
"I don't know I just had to have an idea that it would work out." she explained realizing none of this made any sense.

Jona turned around, her arms crossed. She faced Alice with dignity, a strong stance, tall and broad that just radiated "Back off" and "I mean business." But what she also showed was a kind, motherly love towards her daughter, her sister and her friend. Her eyes were warm but cold with hate. She hated what he'd done. She hated that Alice was actually confused. And she hated it that even she didn't know what to do. Jona slowly walked towards her, looking deep into her eyes.

"And it will work... you will get married, you will get the life you've always wanted..." She leaned in closer to her scared, confused face. "But NOT with him." She took her butterbeer took a deep gulp and laid down a few coins under the glass. Jona put on her jacket, fixed the collar and the hair and looked back at Alice. "I'm not leaving without you." She laughed weakly, "We'll figure this out. He won't have you..." She promise- a promise that not even Jona was sure she could make, but she would try.

Alice took a deep and bit her lip.
"Okay." she said chugging down the rest of her drink.
"but how are we going to get away with it?" she asked not quite sure how this was going to be possible. Alice took out some coins and flicked them on the table. They spun addictingly till finally they all stop at the same time lyeing heads up. She grabed her coat and flung it over her arm not putting it on because it wasnt like tempature really mattered to her.
"Kay so whats your plan?" she asked remaining generly quite. here voice stung to talk any louder
"Whatever it is I am going to have to break it to Mathew at some point." Alice said mainly to reminde her self that she had to tell him everything now and no more secrets.

Jona sighed; something that she failed to figure out was how. How were they going to do it? How was she going to give Alice the life she always wanted? To get married, to live forever with someone she loved. All that seemed almost inevitable was made almost impossible. Why is it when things like this happen its always Alice? She groaned thinking.

She pouted, her brows tightened in deep thought. She turned around and headed for the door, instinctively she reached her hand up holding the small bell. Alice said something about Mathew and Jona could hear her thinking about him and how she didn't know what Jona was thinking. How she wondered what she was going to do to make it all work.

Jona hated that she didn't know. It was so alien NOT TO KNOW. It was hurt just to think about the subject. She always knew, or at least she thought she did. Was she always this stubborn? Not to the point of being self-less of course but she couldn't stand being wrong. Even if it was in her own head. What was she going to do?

It was uncomfortable outside, the deep freeze over the little town of hogsmead. But the situation was just as uncomfortable. Jonas internal rage and sympathy combating at each other. Her worry... What if she couldn't do anything? Her doubt was insulting.
"Alice... I don't want you to get mad, but...." She bit her lip- fearful. "I don't know."

Alice followed her out the door.
"Jona stop." she said starting off what was sure to be a very angry argument.
"Just stop trying to pretend like my life is this amazing fantasy dream. You can stop acting like everything is great and everything is just better than anyone can imagine. Just stop treating this all like a fairy tale book and that it's this dream that every little girl wishes to have nobody wants this so stop it because you’re not fooling anyone and it's not doing any good for anything." Alice stated clearly not angered or sad but a neutral tone that didn't show any emotion what so ever.
"I'm going to Mathews I have my cell if you need me but I can't guarantee I have service." she said walking off she wanted to spend as much time with him as possible before anything happened.

"Alice wait..." She pleaded grabbing her arm pulling her back. "Do you think I'm joking when I say I want to help you?" She breathed heavily as if she was out of breath. She gulped hard and looked into her eyes, trying to tell her that she meant business.

"I mean every word I've said to you. Your life IS perfect Alice, better than what it could have been. Do you have a hint of thanks; I risked my life to save yours. If it wasn't for me Alice you wouldn't have lived to see Mathew... You wouldn't have lived to see the day when you were going to get married. I must admit your life isn't what you think it should be, but it's better than what than what HE would have left you- The scraps of life, the fragments of reality, the remnants of utopia. He would have given you nothing of that, not even the scraps. It's all he knows Alice. Do not give into him!" She let go, more violently than she would've liked. "Go to him Alice, go and give up. I don't care if its to Mathew or if it’s to your insane Father."

She turned around and walked back into the pub. She slammed the door, throwing it off the hinges, and knowing that she would she walked up to the desk, picked up a butterbeer and threw the bartender the money for the drink and the door. She did it all so mindlessly; this was how it was when she was angry, when she herself had given up. Jona didn't even stop for a moment to think- those days were over. The over thinking over every detail, she wasn't Demitri, she wasn't going to ever be like him. All she wanted was to help her friend; it's all she ever knew. All she knew since the day when she herself was alone.

Jona took a long chug of the beer, the tangy crisp taste that only she and Alice knew, and flipped open her phone. She didn't dare call Alice until she did; instead she dialed the number of the one person who didn't give up on her, whose nerdy jokes and helpless romantics made her laugh. She dialed the numbers that spelled out his name. Z-A-N-E.

Alice plopped down into the snow what was she doing.
doesn’t she get it I am thankful for everything and I understand that it was better then it could have been but if I would have died then Mathew wouldn’t have been hurt Jona wouldn’t have been hurt my father would have probably died and none of this bad stuff would have happened. Maybe all the bad things would have never happened I just feel like I should have died. Alice thought maybe to Jona but she probably wouldn't have heard it because she was ignoring her.

"Is my phone ringing?" Zane yelled down the hall.
"Yes I will get it!" his little sister said enthusiastically.
"No you won’t!" he added speeding through the house racing his sister to the phone. She picked up fast and hit the answer button.
"Hi this is Zane's sister he can't come to the phone right now he is out in the barn..." Zane was now wrestling her to the ground.
"Give me the phone Nicole before I behead all your babies again!" he threatened reaching for the phone.
"Fine annoying isn't worth the death of all my babies." she said handing him the phone walking off in a sassy way.
"By the way it's some chick." Nicole added on stomping up the stairs.
"Hey um Jona?" he asked not sure what other girl would be calling him maybe Alice but he doubted it she has been a little off lately.

Jona tapped her fingers impatiently; the phone rang four times before someone answered. Jona jumped and looked at the phone, her eyes wide as she could hear screaming and the high squeaky voice of a young girl. Jona put the phone to her ear and tried to speak slow and concise, she was sure she called the right now; she rarely made small mistakes such as calling the wrong number.

"Is Zane there?" She mumbled pulling back her hair as she leaned up against the wall in the snow. Her dark clothing shadowed her into the night, her glowing yellow hair and pale white skin clashing with the lit candles outside the pub.

She gasped as she could hear his voice finally, "ZANE!" She quietly screamed. She could hear him speak her name a hesitant "Jona?" She smiled weakly, happy to hear him but also remembered why she'd called in the first place. He was the only person left.

"Hey um whets up I mean not that I’m not happy to hear from you but you don't call very much and I am at home so I didn't expect calls so whets the deal?" he asked realizing he was rambling.
"Hey Zane you going out today we need milk!" his mom yelled from the kitchen.
"Mom you have a cow literally why do we need to buy milk it kind of defeats the purpose!" he yelled back and walked out the house so not to be disturbed any more.
"Sorry bout all that its caouse here almost miss the free willed magic teenagers ya know at least that was more fun. Without... my... brother here I’m kind of the head of the house know and it's been a little strange." he said trying to make conversation but could barely make out the words my brother. He liked to think that he went to college or joined some high-end place where they just didn't see him often but everyone knew that wasn't the case.

Jona sighed, she really did feel sorry for him but she couldn't help but think of only herself at the moment. She took a deep breath and built up the courage, "Are you doing anything?" She asked a little informal for what Jona was used too. She was tired of being a mom, even though she enjoyed it greatly. Part of her wished Alice would turn around and run back to her and part of her was proud that she didn't.
"I mean, it's okay if you are but I..." She tried to finish but she wasn't sure what to say, Jona only hoped that he'd guess what she wanted and come to her.

(Oh noes, someone call the post police... This is waaaaay shorter than it should be xD But you know, they're on the phone. Jona isn't one to ramble)

"Um busy not really I mean apparently I am picking up milk that we don't need because we have a cow but sure I’d love to do something." he said smiling but he knew she couldn't see it. He also blushed a bit but again it's not like she could see.
"The real challenge is getting somewhere however My truck broke down a week ago and my evil little sister broke my broom, I could use a mop but that would be a bit odd." he joked not even knowing if anything of what he was saying was funny.
"So where to then considering my being stuck in the middle of nowhere issues... You would have to come get me or come hang out in my town." he suddgested wondering what she was planning on doing she seemed a little distant and unsure.
"Are you okay?" he asked a bit concerned for her.

What am I going to do I can't go to Mathew I would have to explain I can't go to my father he will like kill me, I can't go to Jona she is mad at me. I can't go to Stephaine she is totally deranged, I can't go to Demetri because to be honest what does he know plus I really don't like him, I can't go to Zane he is stuck in the middle of nowhere. I can't go to Oddie because then Mathew would figure out I am totally on my own I sure have made a mess of things. Alice thought not sure what to do there was no one she could turn to.
"You know Alice I can help you come with me and well everything will be better." She heard in her head.
"Get out of my head!" she screamed not sure in her head or out loud but it didn't really matter anymore.

Of every trailing detail, elongated conversation and mumbling that Jona seemed to hear she could not listen to Zane and his milk at the moment. She sighed, "No. In fact, I am far from okay."
Before Zane could ask what was wrong she continued. "I don't want to tell you the entire story so I'll skip to the end... Alice's father came and now she can't get married and it's entirely fault and I made her leave and now she's probably given up and gone to him." She cried, ashamed of what she'd done. She sniffled her voice sounding like she'd been actually crying, "Could you make your sister get the milk...?"

Jona let the phone sit on her shoulder while she shoved her head into her arms, hiding it as she dug her head into the table. (?) As she waited for Zane to say something Jona picked up on jumbled words that formed together to make sentences though she could barely hear them. The voice was soft and scared, and she could hear the worry. The voice was recognizable and sounded a lot like Alice. It seems I cannot escape her... Jona said.

(Oh bleck, thats a horrible post xD)

"Oh Hun I’ll be there faster than a cat can climb a tree." he said making a mwa sound and hanging up.
"Mom girl troubles I have to leave now where my wand is?" he asked rummaging through drawers.
"Here!" his sister said throwing him the oddly shaped stick.
“Thanks." he said running over and kissing her on the forehead.
"Oh one more thing covers for me." he said running out the door.
"Let’s see if I can apperate." he said picturing the door to the three broom sticks.
"One... two... three" he said before turning on his heals and squeexing through a small tube to out side the three broom sticks. He looked around patting his legs and pockets and such to make sure he made it with everything.
"Yes" he said with an exaggerated sigh. He looked around.
"Alice he said walking over a few yards to see her crumpled on the floor muttering things under her breath.
"Alice what’s wrong?" he asked shaking her slightly.
"Don't move I will be back." Zane insisted running up to the three broom sticks and in two were Jona was sitting. He gave her a hug.
"Um Jona I’m so sorry what exactly happened?" he asked trying to get down to the bottom of all this.

"Okay..." She said into a phone that was already hung up on, it made the obnoxious dial sound and she flipped the phone closed. Jona held it in her hand; one rested on the other straight up in the air- her head on the table like she was hiding her face again. She sunk lower in the chair, pushing it back so she was more comfortable while she sat alone to herself, waiting for Zane. Before she could sob any more she was picked up in a forceful embrace, holding her Zane tried to tend to her needs, comforting her by asking what exactly happened, however Jona was not in the mood to explain everything. She picked up the butter beer one last time gulping down the last few bubbles and slammed it down on the table with a loud thud that echoed through the tavern. She silently growled, waiting for the rest of the people to start talking or leave. Either one would work fine for her. She disregarded what he asked, pushing it aside for later. About to say something else she caught a whiff of Zane’s blatant scent.
"Zane, did you see Alice on the way here? I can smell her on your clothes..."

"Well considering you can smell her there is no point in attempting to lie." he said taking the seat across from her.
"It was kind of hard to miss her she is just outside the door. Do you want to explain I realize you don't want to but trust me it will help you loads." he stated.
"Why is her ...father doing this or what are your theories because I know you to well to know you have been thinking about this." Zane said pausing before saying father due to the fact that he could not say that around Alice.

In three quick seconds it all stopped the craziness and Alice sat up puzzled and confused barley having a grasp on what happened.
"C**p!" she said angry annoyed confused at everything.
"I have to kill him... soon." Alice said standing up.

first I need for him to come to me and then I suppose everything will fall into place I just have to be ready to kill. Alice thought to herself deciding firmly on this idea.

"She is?" Jona said, almost sarcastically though she didn't mean to talk to him that way. Jona knew she was outside but she was not aware that she was so close to the door. That must be why I am hearing her... she has put up no attempt to block her thoughts... how odd. Jonas eyes averted back to him instead of talking to herself.
"I have given it thought... it would be foolish of me not to." She said blatantly. She shifted her weight, laying her head back on the table, resting it in her arms.
"Sadly I don't know exactly what to do about it." Jona looked back up at him, running her hand through her hair- her hand getting tangled in the loose curling strands- yanking her hand out (fierce and violently you could say, but of course Jona was already in a fierce and violent mood that it seemed to go along with the theme of the moment) she continued, "First I thought there must be some motive to why he wouldn't want her to get married... but then I realized he doesn't have a motive at all, it's all control."
As she spoke she could hear the word kill run through her mind. That is not a bad idea... She thought, agreeing with Alice (whatever she said), Jona wished she heard the whole thing. But she only guessed that Alice was planning to kill her father. She suddenly changed her mind... Needing to say something she blurted out, "Now Alice how are you going to do that?!" Expecting her to hear it, she didn't realize until after she said it that Alice was behind the door and would not hear it unless she was paying attention (which would sound a lot like Jona when she is stalking someone, sitting in another room listening in on others thoughts).

Zane looked at her with a suspicious smile. He was confused but figured it was one of those oh its Jona things.
"Mind browsin?" he asked accidently cutting off the g at the end of the word browsing.
"How is Alice going to do what?" he asked curious to what she was referring. He assumed it had to do with a master plan Alice had planned out in her mind not attempting to keep it hidden from the mind readers out there due to the fact she was shook up and not sure what to do.

He is stronger than most vampires faster two and his intelligences out standing... I can't trick him I can't out fight him. I need something else something that he knows nothing about. Having people help me wouldn't make a difference I need something he doesn't know or wouldn't suspect something that he knows nothing of. She sighed almost replying to Jona's thoughts but she didn't even hear them.
Ya I suppose good luck figuring out what that is. she finished standing up wiping the white powder off her genes.

Jona shifted her weight, surprisingly embarrassed by her shout out to the world.
"I'm sorry..." She apologized, flustered taking a huge swig of butterbeer, the last in her cup. It was as though it was being magically filled back up again. With a long "Umm" deciding what to say she opened her mouth to explain.
"Alice has plans to... kill her father." She sighed holding her beer with a tight fist. Letting go it left a clearly visible indentation in the glass handle. Poor mug... She thought staring at it. Pushing it aside she rested her head on her hand. "I just don't think she's thinking this through." She added, hearing her talk to herself, explaining why it would work.
I need something he doesn't know or wouldn't suspect something that he knows nothing of.
"Like what? What doesn't he know? He somehow knew you were getting married didn't he?" She groaned annoyed, she needed Alice to hear her and it wasn't as embarrassing now that he knew she was "talking" to her friend from between a door.

(I don't remember, did we tell him or did he figure out himself?)

"She plans to kill someone?" Zane asked confused.
"Alice? Sweet little Alice? She wants to kill her dad?" He asked almost laughing at the idea. Zane had known Alice for around 6 years she was hi sister practically but he had never once seen her hurt anyone except if they literally attack her first and even then sometimes she didn't because Stephaine would beat her to the punch. Alice had bitten one person in her entire life and that was just to keep him alive.
"Ok and because of your blabber back to him I am guessing she wants to surprise him. Him being her dad?" Zane asked still trying to get everything organized.
"She is getting married?" he asked catching on to that he wanted to be happy for her but he had to figure everything out and support Jona at the same time. This situation was a little too complicated for him.
"Well maybe if you went out and talked to her in person and not through mind chat then you would get more accomplished because she cannot listen to you in her mind but not when you’re in front of her." Zane suggested but doubted this would happen because Jona was not in the mood to face Alice.

Looking at him with a serious face she added, "If I were to go outside she would run and make up her mind about all she's been planning now. It's best that I don't do that."
However, to continue to keep her there Jona would need something to say and something to listen to. Alice had not said anything and was probably listening as Zane spoke in shock and confusion about her marriage and her plan to kill her father.
Of course it was irrational that she would hurt him... Jona thought it agreement to what he first said- or joked. Jona strongly believed that Alice trying to kill her father was death to herself and Alice didn't need any more deaths to herself. Even Jona didn't think she could go after Alice's father. Now, not just one Vampire had a death coming but two.
Jona turned to Zane and apologized, something she rarely did.
"I'm sorry for asking you to come here, not just that but having to listen to me and Alice go at each other. I rarely use my power and talk aloud... its upsurd, I'm sure I look crazy."

"Jona you’re my girl I’m not leaving you until this is all sorted out ok. That and you don't look nearly crazy we live in a castle where we learn how to use magic and right now we’re sitting in a room surrounded by wizards winches and magical creatures it's hard to sound crazy in this world." He said to her hoping it would make her feel better.

what about the elements water fire earth wind or ice. Maybe if we weaken him then we could fight him but what would weaken him? Lack of blood we have to lock him up somewhere but what could hold him for that long? Alice asked herself racking her brain over how she would kill him she had to for everyone's own good.
The thing to remember is he cannot convince you of anything or you won’t be able to kill him. The word kill rang in her head was she ready to end somebody’s life.

"Of course, but so does everyone else in this pub." Jona sighed looking up at him with a weak smile. "I am a blood thirsty vampire who could kill everyone in this room in under a second, and at that I am talking to myself because I can hear your thoughts. And though as common as we seem there are only two vampires in Hogsmead, I being one of them. I'm confident I sound crazy." Drinking the last of her butter beer she laughed and smiled warmly.
"Thank you." Jona hadn't considered Zane leaving her alone in the pub to go insane while she sulked and listened to Alice plan. She didn't like the idea, it made her feel uncomfortable. "Please don't leave." With a sigh she slid the stool away from the table and stood up.
"Alice, dear please do not run if I come outside. I want to talk, you need my output!" She pleaded inching closer to the door. She looked over her shoulder at Zane for support. "Please?"
