LilyFlower & Castledown VS running_swift & Boggartnt

::Swift floated silently into the room on Yaku, the latter's usually pink glow... well, not so pink anymore. The mass was somewhat pale, just... grey, a light shade of it visible underneath Swift's duelling robes. She knew what it was due to, all right. There was the play, first of all. She didn't think she'd ever been so tired in her life. Then there was the fact that she hadn't slept last night. She knew it wasn't good for her, but here she was, ready to duel, knowing that she'd win. She smiled a little, a feat in itself, as it was rare to see her smile nowadays. But that was another story - she was here to duel, and duel she would. After all, there was Gryffindor Pride to keep; that, and she was a professor. What professor loses?

But it won't be too hard, she contemplated. If it's Jimmy and... my sis. Her sis. They were close - there was no doubt about it, but to go head to head in a duel? It was a first. But all emotion ended there. She smirked, then grinned. Won't be hard at all!

Sighing, Swift craned her neck back, looking wearily at the enchanted ceiling.

Where is everyone...

She sat cross-legged on her mass of fibre, her wand tucked neatly behind her ear. There were no spells involved when it came to Swift and Yaku transferring energy - just spiritual and bodily energy; nothing more, nothing less. She shivered as some warmth drained from her, and looked down, smiling. Hopping off the now pale pink cloud, she let it fly around the room for a while, preparing herself for what was to come. It came to a halt above her head, hovering silently.

Benkai shirudo! The words swirled in Swift's head, before she snapped her eyes open, and saw a translucent shield shimmering in front of her. Good good, she thought. Now I'm ready. She took a deep breath, and turned towards the door, knowing that whoever came through it would be received with a bit less cordiality than usual.

Yep, I'm ready. ready to keep that Gryffindor Pride.

Ready to beat my sister.::

Jimmy pushed through the doors confidently, his plain school robes billowing out behind him and the ensign of Ravenclaw House visible on his left breast. He advanced towards the duelling strip, noticing that someone had already arrived. He unclasped his cloak, tossing it nonchalantly to one side as he stepped onto the midnight blue material that covered the combat area, his wand slipping easily into his hand as he stood before her in his simple black trousers and white button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, his blue and bronze tie being buffeted gently by the slight breeze that coursed through the room.

"Swifty," He said stoically in greeting, bowing to her automatically before assuming his fighting stance. Go with the plan, stick with the plan, he thought to himself over and over, repeating it like a mantra as they stood still for a moment, neither moving. Just as Lily had anticipated, Jimmy's eye caught the dull, almost imperceptible gleam that flashed in front of the Gryffindor.

Shield

His grin widened. Yep, just as he and Lily had guessed. He had just the spell to deal with that.

"Effrego contegum!" He exclaimed, his wand twirling once around his head before being slashed across his body. A turquoise pulse of light shot out of the tip, soaring towards Swift with a crackle and a scent of ozone. It slammed into the shield she had in place, sparks flying as it seemed to infect the dull surface, spreading through its cover area until Jimmy sent another spell flying towards her.

"Everbero!" He flicked his wand again, sending the azure beam of the slapping curse lancing towards Swift. It shattered the iridescent dome, breaking through her shield now the counter-charm had been applied and soared towards her, on a head-on path for collision...

Drake pushed through the door to the dueling hall, only to see Swifty and Jimmy already there. "Bit late am I?" He unclasped his cloak, tossing it to the opposite side of the stage as Jimmy. "Swifty." He nodded to her with a smile. They'd be partnered up for this duel, he hoped that he could be of some good use to her. "Jimmy." He nodded to the other. He knew that his duel might be a bit tough for Swifty, they were dueling with Lily afterall, and they were sisters.

He noticed the just visible gleam of her shield and nodded. Of course. But that was soon shattered by Jimmy. He darted infront of Swifty, shouting "Verteidigungsschild!" A defense shield that would hopefully work.
