Minerva McGonagall

The first thing I think of now after being on this site is the theory that ducky posted about mcgonagall being a traitor. Although I disbelieve it, all the parts of the theory seem to make some sort of sense which is really frightening, though one thing that seems to stick out even more is the obvious fact that dumbledore seemed to trust even severus snape more than he did mcgonagall

I think that that is becasue of an Unbreakable curse.. but I like her.. I think she is true and loyal..

But how loyal is she? It is still apparent that Dumbledore doesnt trust her completely - was she even in the order the first time around?

I dont know. thats a really good question. Maybe Dumbledore didn't trust her becasue she lets her emptions take control like she did in GoF with Barty Crouch Jr and Fudge

She's stern and all that, but i think she's cool ^^

I have a teacher like that @ my school. He's struct and will punish you but he aslo has a sense of humor when theres a time for it and will let u hav fun too

I really like McGonagall but after reading a delightful post by Duck the duck on her I am really starting to think she may be the insider in the school helping Voldemort. She was never seen regularly at the Order of the Phoenix meetings and certain things about her just don't add up.

I hate to think this way but I think there is an insider at the school who is not what they appear.

I dont think McGonagall is evil, even though the post had its points. It just doesnt make sense to me, I think that Dumbledore would have seen right through her.

She is a very important consdering she is The Gyriffindor Leader.
I think she is ok. But I think she could've defended Harry, Fred, and
George when they were ban for Quidditch!

I think that McGonagall is a very important person in the books. She is a very nice person and helps Harry sometimes.

McGonagall is a great character but the theory did get me thinking but I do not think she is a traitor it just doesn't seem to fit. I think McGonagall is one of them characters who will just always be there if you get me?
Like an evil grandma that is strict but kind and always has your best interests at heart.

When you said that it made me realize similarities to Nevilles Nanna. They ar eboth strict but really do care deep down.

I love McGonagall. She's actually very kind just strict and she supports Harry completley. When in the DH it said that he cry of pain was horrible (when Voldermort said he died) I could hear it in my head and it sent shivers up my spine. She's one of my favorite characters because she seems so "tough" but she actually cares a lot about the people around her.

Yeah, that was really touching and it proved to people that douvted her that she really did care.

I've always liked her though! She seems like a great teacher to me!

hmmm... an interesting theory but if she was, wouldn't JK have told us in the 7th book? Also, remember what snape said to bellatrix in 6? Voldemort wants draco to try to kill dumbledore first so his cover is not blown and a spy could remain at hogwarts????? Why would voldemort send snape to be a spy is Mcgonnagal was already a spy for him (she has been at hogwarts for longer than him, check 5)??? And even if she was, Snape would've told dumbledore!!!

I never wanted to beleive that of McGonagall and we learn that she really is good and more caring than expected..

I don't believe she could ever be a traitor! And, now that we've seen the ending of the seventh book (and sixth) we know how much she cared about seeing the end of Voldermort.

Yep! That's why she one of my top fav. characters!

Yeah, and though she seems really tough on the outside, she cares a lot for the students of Hogwarts!
