Remus Lupin

I love Remus. I was really annoyed when his character didnt feature much in HBP and OotP. I had hoped that we would see more of him as we did in PoA

I agree, he's one of my favorite characters! Hopefully he'll appear more in 7, and hopefully not die. That would be very, very, very tragic.

I love Remus! He's a great character

And he's had his near death experience (being bitten by a werewolf), so I don't think he'll die.

Plus, how cruel would it be to kill Harry's last remaining Father-figure and link to his parents?

Although then there's the other side of that, kill all the Marauders...

It would be tragic if he died. I think that if anyone dies through the silver hand for instance it will be Fenrir.

I wpuld be upset if he died, but not totally surprized to twell you the truth..

When he was young he was obvioulsy very self conscious abouth being a werewolf. He was scared to go to school and make friends so he hid behind his big brain. He was smartest maurder (book wise) and he always acted rationally so he wouldn't betray Dumbledore. I think he a very good role model to Harry becasue of his knowledge and attitude.

Precisly, which is one reason I hated his minimal role in the last couple of books. I hope he has a better role in the final one

I'm sure he will. He's the last maurderer and probably has lots of information for Harry and the trio

I think he will play a big role in the actual battle as well. It would be nice for him to meet harry and the others on the journey and perhaps help with the horcruxes. I think he will be at the wedding as well as Molly likes him and maybe Remus might be able to help Bill with whatever side effects he will suffer from fenrir

I think he will a mine of information both for Bill and the trio, he could help them figure out how to destry of horcruz or how to locate one.

I dont think he knows about the horcruxes though does he?

he probably does because he's in the order.. and if he doesnt don't you think Harry will tell him?

No one knows about the Horcruxes except Harry. Dumbledore didn't tell anyone else. Slughorn might know...because it was his memory they took.

Ron and Hermione too, because they're going on the quest with Harry.

But no one else knows.

I think Remus will help in some way though.

Maybe he knows stuuf about Voldy's past though... that makes sense.. he could give Harry unintentional clues to where they muight be hidden

maybe...although he doesnt have much insight with the dark side (lol sounds like star wars). We have seen a little of recent to do with going underground with werewolves but now I think that all the werewolves like fenrir will know that Remus is in the order

yes, but he seems like the Hermione in the group.. the one who muight swallow the library so he might know things about the past war

lol yes. Remus is like hermione, James is like Harry though I dont really think Sirius is like Ron, he is more of a weasley twin. Perhaps this is why Ron stands out more of not being part of the group

I don't really like it when people make comparisons between the trio and the Marauders. I'm not sure why, but it irks me, lol.

Anyway back to Remus lol

He was bitten by a werewolf as a child and that has made him paranoid in a way, and not judging.

I love remus! He is one of the best characters in the book!

umm... idk, it just seemed to describe him, do you think he will help the trio?

I really love Remus. His character is complex and he is an insperation to Harry. I wonder what happened to him as a child to make him become one of the good guys, where it seems all the other werewolves have gone twards Voldemort's ways. I wonder if it was because of Dumbledore allowing him to attend at Hogwarts.

But something about his character tells me there is more to him than what we are seeing. Maybe a dark secret of some kind. Why didn't James trust him enough to make his his secret keeper? He would have been the logical choice seeing that he seems to be the most respnsible of the group of friends. I have wondered this a lot.

I also wonder if maybe he might have liked/loved Lily.

I hope we learn more about this in book 7.

I think we will learn more about him in book 7 becasue he will probably talk to Harry about his father and the Orders history.

I really like Remus's character. I do think that he will be able to help the Trio in the last book, with him being as wise as he is

Remus is also my favorite character to RP and write about. I do think that there was something going on between him and Lily when they were in school, but he let James have her in the end. But we can see in the books, and in the movies especially, that he did care about Lily a lot.

Yea, he cared but what if it was a "just friends" relationship. I think he cared about her but acknowledged her and James and was the gentleman, I think maybe he just watched out for her

That is a good question though Nancy - why didnt James trust Remus enough to make him secret keeper. Apart from his werewolf qualities, do you think Remus and James had some sort of falling out at some point?

I dont think it a falling out so much as he would be more suspicous becasue he lived underground with werewolves and was more likely it was him being a traitor.

Remus did not live underground I do not presume. I believe it is only for after when he was undercover (?)

ya, thats what I meant, but ok. I thibk like it would have been easier for him to be a traitor then for anyone else, becasue he's surrounded by evil.

I really thought Lupin, was a bad guy. I guess he isn't! Hesn't smart knows know things that can help Harry!

He's now the only Mauderer left and I think he can teach Harry importan tthings about his past.

Anyway on topic. I don't actually like lupin that much don't kill me. I just don't I think he could have made more of an effort with Harry and other things though I am glad that he is with tonks.

I think we got to see the more vonerable side of Lupin in this book because he was really and genuinly scared. I think he really tried to help Harry but he was forgeting what was important.

I think it was right of Harry to talk to Lupin in Grimmauld Place (maybe talking isn't the right word as he yelled). At lease Lupin got to see Teddy before he died because if he had run off leaving Tonks behind then he would never had seen his son which would have been terrible!
